아이들링 시 배기시스템 용적이 SI 기관의 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Combustion Characteristics on the Exhaust System Volume of the SI Engine in Idling)

  • We research into the exhaust system volume what proving the optimum exhaust performance and combustion characteristics. Many automobile manufactures have developed complex exhaust system for environment regulation and noise reduction. This complex exhaust system provides acoustics silencing and low frequency noise for customers demand. Recently, automobile exhaust system have made the Dual muffler concerning to the noise and vibration reduction. Also it bring the engine performance down by decreasing the back pressure and temperature in the exhaust system. The experiments are carried out different volume of exhaust system. In order to establish the optimized conditions design factors which are taking exhaust system volume, it show how the exhaust performance influence on the engine performance in idling.

  • Automobile companies and research institutions in leading automobile-manufacturing nations have recently been very active with research regarding the HCCI engine for use in future vehicles. Because HCCI engines take advantage of high compression ratio and heat release rate, they exhibit high efficiency found in compression ignition engines. HCCI engines also utilize a lean air/fuel ratio resulting in low emissions of NO$_{x}$ and PM (particulate matter). The objective of this research is to determine the effects of EGR rate on the combustion processes of HCCI. for this purpose, a 4-cylinder, compression ignition engine was converted into a HCCI engine, and a heating device was installed to raise the temperature of the intake air and also to make it more consistent. In addition, a pressure sensor was inserted into each of the cylinders to investigate the differences in characteristics among the cylinders. The experimental study of the effects of EGR rate on various gas emissions, engine performance, etc. should prove to be a valuable source of information for the development of the HCCI engine.e.

  • 현재 자동차의 주요 동력원은 내연기관이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 내연기관 자동차로 인한 환경문제를 해결하기 위한 친환경 자동차로는 하이브리드 자동차, 전기 자동차 및 공기 엔진 자동차 등을 들 수 있다. 배터리를 이용하는 하이브리드 차나 순수 전기차 등도 아직은 크지 않으나 점차 많은 비중을 차지하여 나가고 있다. 전기모터를 사용하는 전기차에 비해 압축공기를 이용하는 공기 엔진 자동차는 아직은 연구개발이 거의 이루어지지 않은 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 스크롤 팽창기를 적용하는 새로운 압축공기 엔진을 소개하고, 이 엔진을 장착한 자동차의 주행거리 가능 거리를 이론적으로 산출하였다.

  • Because of using electrical technologies in the automobile system. It is difficult to detect and recover malfunction of the automobile system. Only the skillful repair engineers could find and repair their problems in these days, but their inconsistent knowhow make it hard to accumulate their knowledge. This paper presents the relations between the engine ignition line and the malfunction of the automobile.

중국 내 자동차 산업 동향과 월별 판매량 시계열분석 (Analysis of Automobile Industry Trends and Demand Forecasting of Monthly Automobile Sales in Chin)

  • 본 연구에서는 급변하고 있는 세계 경제 환경 하에서 중국 자동차 산업의 발전 현황과 자동차 산업과 관련한 중국 정부의 정책을 살펴보고, 중국 내 소비자들의 자동차 구입에 대해 소비자 동향 조사를 실시하였다. 중국 정부의 강력한 국가 배출가스 규제정책과 내연기관 자동차 제조·판매 기준의 강화에도 불구하고 소비자들은 다양한 이유로 앞으로 자동차를 구매 시 내연기관차를 선택하겠다는 응답비율이 59.6%에 달하는 등 정부 정책과 소비자 인식 사이에는 적지 않은 차이가 존재하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 최근의 중국 내 자동차 판매량의 감소 추세를 발견하여 2010년 1월부터 2020년 12월까지 월별 판매량을 학습용 데이터로, 2021년 1월부터 2022년 11월 동안의 판매량을 평가용으로 구분하여 향후 중국의 자동차 수요를 예측하는 시계열 모형들을 제안, 평가하였다. 그리고 각 시계열모형을 적용하였을 때의 2023년도의 월별 예측 판매량을 보였다.

자동차 냉각 시스템에 사용되는 thermostat용 wax의 제조 및 분석에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Manufacturing and Analysis of Wax for Thermostat for use in Cooling System of Automobile)

  • 자동차 엔진용 thermostat에서 냉각수 온도제어를 위해 사용되는 wax의 제조 및 성분 분석을 실시하였다. 제조된 시료에 대해 lift 실험을 실시해 본 결과, 용제 추출법에 의해 제조된 시료가 자동차 엔진용 thermostat으로 사용 가능한 범위내에 있게 됨을 볼 수 있었다. 또한, 원유의 pitch를 용제 추출한 후 감압 증류 및 산처리를 하면 보다 정밀한 wax를 제조 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • In recent years reduction in noise and vibration in automobile has been strongly required not only from the standpoint of environmental regulations but also for raising the commercial value and ride comfort. Vibration damping steel sheets, which are composites made by sandwitching a visco-elastic resin layer between two steel sheets, have been developed as effective noise-abating materials and have found a growth of use in automobile industries. Vibration damping steel sheets for commercial use must be excellent in vibration damping property, press formability and spot weldability, but are inferior to ordinary steel sheets. In this study, the mechanical properties of vibration damping steel are evaluated, and press formability is analysed on the basis of those properties and shear bonding strength. The development of engine oil pan using damping steel sheets are also reported, focusing on serious problems in oil pan drawing.

  • Recently, automobile manufacturers regarding stability, economic environmental-friendly problems by the development of automobile, environmental problem as designing the exhaust system. Increasingly strict environmental regulations to lower fuel consumption and reduce emission. Also to reduce the noise and the vibration of the automobile. According to develop variable type muffler, dual muffler and active intelligence exhaust system unit. Improvement in engine performance and fuel consumption rate demand information of pressure fraction and heat characteristics. To be able to determine these factor for we experiment on each case of exhaust system unit. In this study, how back pressure is distributed in flow-through in exhaust system and how to design exhaust system flexibleness, efficiency and combustion charateristics influenced by back pressure. This study furnish basic data for engineers, technicians.

자동차 실내의 전자파 복사원에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Radiating Source of Electro-magnetic Waves in the Cabin of Automobile)

  • This paper investigates the radiating source of electro-magnetic waves in the cabin of automobile with spark ignition engine. Front seats are very close to the engine room where electro-magnetic waves are expected to be radiating. But front seat area is believed to be a blind zone, which is not affected by radiating electro-magnetic waves, because a bulk board and floor board shield the front seat area. The level and frequency spectrum of electro-magnetic waves are measured at the passenger seat and the engine room. The measured frequency range is $145{\sim}365MHz$. As a results, the level of the electro-magnetic waves of automatic transmission vehicle is greater than -82dBm. The shapes of frequency spectrum of both engine room and passenger seat are look alike. But the level of electro-magnetic waves of manual transmission vehicle is less than -82dBm and the shapes of frequency spectrum of engine room and passenger seat are different to each other. From these results, we can say that any mal-function caused by electro-magnetic waves in the automobile cabin are only possible for automatic transmission vehicle. Also, it is believed that the radiating source of electro-magnetic waves is inside the vehicle. Thus, based on the transmission line theory, this paper presumably concludes that the cables which connect all the components inside a automatic transmission vehicle must be a radiating source of electro-magnetic waves in the cabin.

Electrical Impedance Change due to Contamination at the Contact Interface of Connectors for Automobile Crank Shaft Position Sensor

  • Numerous connectors are used in automobiles for transmission of electrical signals across various electro-mechanical components. The connectors must operate with high reliability in order to minimize failures due to signal degradation. In this work, the effects of contamination at the contact interface of connectors used fur automobile crankshaft position sensor on the impedance change were investigated. An experimental set-up was built to simulate the electrical signal transmitted from the sensor to the engine control unit through a connector. Output from the connector was investigated using connectors contaminated with engine block residues and water droplets. It was found that slight contamination of the connectors could lead to significant signal degradation which can lead to engine failure. Also, the effect of water in the connector altered the signal severely. However, the signal gradually regained the original state as the water evaporated from the interface.
