  • Purpose - O2O (online to off-line) is a new economic concept being emerged in the 4th industrial age. Automobile distribution is also undergoing a change to the O2O system. In overseas, vehicles are already being sold through various online platforms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and foreign automobile distribution structure and intends to suggest the desirable direction of automobile sales in the 4th industrial age. Research design, data, and methodology - Through the investigation of previous studies and the actual cases, the advantages and disadvantages and trends of different types of automobile distribution structures. Result - It can be seen that domestic and foreign automobile brands have quite diverse distribution structures such as direct managed system, agency system, dealer system, direct sales system, online system and online/offline parallel system. Each type has its own characteristics. Conclusion - The distribution structure of automobiles is very diverse, and in particular, it is rapidly changing to an online sales system thanks to the development of information and communication technology and Internet technology and the popularization of smartphones. Through the online system, consumers can quickly and conveniently obtain vehicle information. Although the online sales system has many advantages, it requires continuous management

  • The latest cars give much importance in the role of HVAC system that controls the environment of the area for passengers more than just basic capability In this study, we drew the automobile interior as three dimension and arranged a method of numerical analysis on HVAC environment in the automobile interior displaying air current distribution and temperature distribution through simulation of the automobile interior on the ventilation volume and outlet area, The aim of this study is to develop the estimated method for HVAC environment in the automobile interior. Results of numerical analysis, to cool automobile interior needs more considerations if thinking cheerful surroundings of automobile interior air but the more magnitude of outlet is small, the more cooling capability is excellent and realistic countermeasures about a realistic geometry and boundary condition.

  • Modern people spend more and more time in an automobile in their daily life. In this life, drivers and passengers should create HVAC environment in the automobile interior which is not only for convenient transportation but also give comfortable feeling with dwelling culture. Also, the latest cars give much importance for the role of HVAC system that controls the environment of the area for passengers more than just basic capability. There are solar radiant heat, surface temperature, refrigeration system(temperature, humidity, air current, velocity), and dust for the factor which have an effect on the HVAC environment in the automobile interior, also these are being carried for the HVAC environment delivered an individual character. In this study, we drew the automobile interior as three dimension and arranged a method of numerical analysis on HVAC environment in the automobile interior displaying air current distribution and temperature distribution through simulation of the automobile interior on the ventilation volume and outlet area. The aim of this study is to develop the estimated method for HVAC environment. in the automobile interior.

  • The aim of this study is to consider the physical distribution system of assembly supplied from $1^{st}$ supplier and module corporation to automobile assembly plant through analysis of existing literatures and interview survey. The major findings of this study are as follows. Parts supply of automobile are to bind together with many regional parts supplier than using multi frequency and small delivery of JIT. Regional physical distribution center of joint parts and integrated physical distribution information center is to be installed in neighboring region of automobile assembly plant in order to reduce the transport cost by designating and activating multiple physical distribution and transport companies in each automobile assembly plant and turning into effective high volume shipping system.

  • Many of logistics-related research in automobile industry has focused on inbound logistics and procurement. Research into outbound logistics is relatively few. As a starting research into outbound logistics in automobile industry, this paper examined its logistics network problems with three aspects - location strategy, inventory strategy and transportation strategy. We proposed alternatives of logistics network design resolution, and presented three practical scenarios based on those alternatives. Based on interview, on-site visit and internal data collection processes, we identified major domestic outbound logistics problems such as redundant logistics bases, inefficient delivery policy, insufficient inventory capacity, inventory stock quality deterioration, inefficient transportation system, and etc. In order to cope with those problems, we proposed such strategic alternatives as introduction of hub-and-spoke system, integration of logistics bases, introduction of (automatic) parking building, diversification of transportation mode, and etc. At the same time, we constructed three practically executable scenarios based on those ideas. The first is "Center Hub" scenario, the second is "Metropolitan Hub" scenario. The third and last scenario is "Regional Consolidation of Warehouses (distribution centers)".

  • Until now, used parts of automobiles necessary for the remake of automobiles have been recovered from auto repair shops. But it takes much time and cost to collect those parts because the recovery system has not been set up. Furthermore. used parts from auto junk yards have rarely been used for the remaking. This current situation will improve by adopting DISRMPA(Distribution Information System for Recovery and Management of used Parts of Automobiles) designed by the author. Auto repair shops or junk yards input the information of used parts to make a database in the system. Remaking companies use the database to find and recover used parts. The DISRMPA can help prepare stabilized ways to supply used parts.

  • S-Distribution Center supplies parts to three plants of K-automobile manufacturing company. Since the three plants employ the JIT production system, it is important for S-Distribution Center to deliver small quantities of parts frequently and quickly on time. This paper presents a case study on the improvement of order-picking operation in S-Distribution Center. The study is focused on the reductions of move time and waiting time by redesigning the parts storage location, picking-order terminal location, retrieval policy, and equipment operation policy. The proposed operation system for S-Distribution Center is evaluated through a simple computation analysis and computer simulation. Furthermore, the reducible numbers of equipment and order pickers are investigated by performing a sensitivity analysis.
