Recently, automobile industry expands from mechatronics area through intelligent information area, and the telematics technology is one of the greatest developing points. The telematics is utilizing the on-board-unit of vehicle's communication system, and it provides necessary information and value-added service to vehicles as well as drivers. Most of the telematics offers the solution of searching a route or generates an optimal path. This paper investigates telematics with the logistics point of view, such as freight location tracking, vehicle emergency information, etc. The telematics is a core technology of automobile industry, and it becomes new business paradigm of IP(information provider). Especially, ETA(estimated arrival time) of freight and distribution tracing information are critical issues in the logistics industry. The successful integration with telematics is introduced in the paper.

연구에서 우리는 국내 및 국외의 자동차산업의 사례를 통해 과거의 제조중심에서 서비스 분야로 가치창출이 이루어짐을 보여준다. Servicizing이라고 불리는 이러한 새로운 전환은 새로운 IT기술에 의해 더욱 더 발전이 가속화 되고 있다. 이미, 미국, 일본, EU등에서는 산업의 경쟁력 향상을 위해 전략적으로 추진하고 있다. 단지 자동차 산업뿐만 아니라 물류, 보험 등 연관산업에까지 파급효과가 크기 때문인 것으로 풀이되고 있다. Telematics, 충돌방지 시스템, 중고자 판매, 렌탈등의 다양한 분야에 어떻게 IT기술이 응용되고 있고 부가가치가 창출되는지 다양한 사례를 본 논문에서 보이고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 자동차 관리 및 진단, 차량 편의장치 제어 동의 보다 향상된 텔레매틱스 서비스 제공을 위해 단말기용 서비스 플랫폼을 설계 구현한다. 서비스 플랫폼은 텔레매틱스용 소프트웨어를 개발하는 개발자에게 하부 자동차 내부 네트워크와 각종 하드웨어 장치, 무선 네트워크 장치에 독립적인 개발방법을 제공한다. 이를 위해 각 장치별로 제공되는 서비스를 분류하고 정형화한 텔레매틱스 API(Application Programming Interface)를 설계하였다. 제안된 서비스 플랫폼은 무선 네트워크 장치들과 단말기 간의 데이터 송수신을 위한 무선 접속부분과 자동차 내부 네트워크 장치들의 서비스를 위한 CAN 네트워크 부분, 위치기반 서비스를 위해 필요한 GPS 데이터 수신부분, 그리고 이기종의 네트워크 간 통신 시 발생하는 상이한 데이터 포맷의 상호 호환성을 위한 메시지 파서 부분으로 구성된다.

텔레매틱스(Telematics)는 IT와 인터넷의 발달로 인해 유비쿼터스라는 큰 흐름 속에 가상공간을 확장해주는 개념으로 자동차의 역사를 새롭게 변화시키고 있다. 현재는 태동 단계의 편의성과 약간의 엔터테인먼트성의 콘텐츠에 초점이 맞추어져 있지만 향후 텔레매틱스를 통해 제공되어지는 콘텐츠는 상상하기 힘들 정도로 풍부해지리라 본다. 현재 텔레매틱스 콘텐츠는 운전자와 동승자에게 구분없이 제공되고 있어 운전자의 안전을 위협하고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 운전자와 동승자에 따라 어떤 형태로 콘텐츠가 제공되어야 적합한지에 대해 연구해 보았다. 연구결과 운전자에게는 안전과 편의성 위주의 콘텐츠를 제공하고 동승자에게는 엔터테인먼트성 위주의 콘텐츠를 제공해야 하는 것으로 연구결과 나타났다.

The advanced technology called Telematics appeared with the development of automobile industries and IT technologies. In Telematics it is important to offer good quality information to the car which loads the terminal, so in this paper, for this, we propose the intelligent information service method using artificial intelligence(A. I.). In this paper, through the concept of multi-agent, we represent Telematics system and show the interaction between information service center and a terminal for smooth information service. Finally, we mention the way that Telematics should persue for the enhancement of information service.

The Advanced Safety Vehicle (ASV) allows drivers not only convenience and safety, but also many useful services provided by the Telematics technology. Since ASV is expected to be widely used in the near future, it is necessary to ensure the safety of ASV systems. Among several aspects of ASV, this paper investigates the safety of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. Field tests are carried out under the domestic roadway and traffic conditions, according to International Standard Organization (ISO) requirements for ACC. The test data are analyzed whether the requirements are adequate for domestic circumstances, and the suggestions for findings are given.

자동차 텔레매틱스 용 음성 HMI(Human Machine Interface) 기술은 차량 내 음성정보기술 활용을 위하여 차량 잡음환경에 강인한 내장형 음성 기술을 통합한 음성 HMI 기반 텔레매틱스 용 DSP 시스템의 개발을 포함한다. 개발된 내장형 음성 인식엔진을 바탕으로 통합 시험을 위한 자동차 텔레매틱스 용 DSP 시스템 구현 개발을 수행하는 본 논문은 자동차용 음성 HMI의 요소 기술을 통합하는 기술 개발로 자동차용 음성 HMI 기술 개발에 중심이 되는 연구이다.

Development of an automobile antenna printed on-glass for FM radio receptions was discussed in this study. NEC-2 code was used as the design tool in this research. An omnidirectional radiation pattern and reception power level of the newly designed antenna were compared with those of the conventional pole antenna for the evaluation of its performance. The test sites for the reception power level measurement were chosen by their signal enbironmental condition, such as multipath fading, and strong field effect area.

텔레매틱스는 자동차, 통신, 컨텐츠 등 다양한 산업 간의 융합(convergence)을 기초로 하고 있기 때문에 타 분야와 함께 동반성장할 수 있는 가능성을 가지고 있는 산업으로 정부가 추진하는 핵심전략 사업이다. 텔레매틱스의 성공적 추진과 활성화를 위해 제주도를 텔레매틱스 시범도시로 선정하여 발전방안을 모색하고 있다. 텔레매틱스는 서비스를 제공하는 형태의 사업임으로 구매자의 선호는 무엇보다도 중요한 사안이며 따라서 구매자가 원하는 컨텐츠의 개발은 향후 텔레매틱스 사업의 성패를 가릴 수 있는 조건이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 측면에서 본 논문은 텔레매틱스에 대한 국내외의 동향과 흐름을 파악하고 제주 텔레매틱스의 주 고객인 관광객을 대상으로 선호도와 향후 원하는 서비스에 대해 조사하였다. 이의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 제주 텔레매틱스 사업의 발전을 위한 방안을 제시한다.

For the past several years, many countries have passed or have recommended legislation making it illegal to use in-hand mobile phones while driving and several manufacturers have released car kit solutions enabling hands-free operation of the mobile phone. But an automobile environment can pose extremely harsh physical conditions impacting audio quality, safety, and reliability. This article introduced a Car Kits that provided a total entertainment and telematics solution, which support all current features within the constraints of low power consumption, form factor, price, ease-of-use, manufacture ability, testability and high total quality.
