원단 불량 검사기의 자동 마킹 시스템 개발 (Development of an Automatic Marking System for Fabric Inspection Machine)

  • In this study, an automatic marking system for fabric inspection machines was developed. The main objectives of the study were to promote intelligence and automation for the inspection process, as well as to increase textile industrial productivity. Generally, when a worker manually inspects and marks a fabric, human error and reduced efficiency are unavoidable. To overcome these problems, we developed an automatic marking system that uses robots. This system incorporates a vision camera to automatically recognize defects, and an optical fiber sensor to detect the side of the fabric. To verify the performance, the control system sends a command directly to the robot to mark the fabric. Finally, the actual production confirmed that the proposed system could perform the desired motion.

정면밀링 절삭력 예측을 위한 이론적 모델링 (Theoretical Modeling for the Prediction of Face Milling Forces)

  • In order to design establish automation or optimization of the machining process, predictions of the forces in machining are often needed. In this paper, a theoretical model in face milling is presented based on Oxley's predictive machining theory, where the cutting forces are predicted from input data of fundamental work material properties, tool geometry and cutting conditions without any preliminary cutting experiment. A simulation system for the cutting forces in face milling is developed using the model. Milling experimental tests are conducted to verify the model and the predictive results are compared and discussed with the experimental results.

  • Burr is a projected part of finished workpiece. It is unavoidable and undesirable by-product of most metal cutting or shearing process. Also, it must be removed to improve the fit of machined parts, safety of workers, and the effectiveness of finishing operation. But deburring process is one of manufacturing processes that have net been successfully automated, so deburring automation is strongly needed. This paper focused on developing a basic algorithm to find edge of workpiece and match two different image data for deburring automation which includes automatic recognition of parts, generation of deburring tool paths and edge/corner finding ability by analyzing the DXF drawing file which contains information of part geometry. As an algorithm for corner finding, SUSAN method was chosen. It makes good performance in finding edge and corner in suitable time. And this paper suggested a simple algorithm to find matching point between CCD image and drawing file.

  • One of the most important technology in PA(Factory Automation) is to construct the diagnostic system for manufacturing process. To improve the productibility in the factory, the state of tools such as bite, drill, endmill should be monitored continuously. In this study, fuzzy logic was used to check the wear of drill in drilling process. The input variables to construct the fuzzy rules are cutting force and the rate of cutting force's change. The experiment was done with the fixed spindle speed and feed rate in cutting condition.

  • Rod consolidation is a method of increasing spent nuclear fuel storage capacity by disassembling fuel assemblies thus storing the fuel rods in a tighter array. It involves some basic operations which closely resemble to the material handling of a manufacturing process. But all the operations must be controlled remotely in shielded environment from outside due to the highly radioactive nature of the workpiece. In this study the status of the rod consolidation technology in other countries has been surveyed and a feasibility study for the conceptual design of this process have been made.

  • The feasibility of generating controlled surface topographies in single-point conventional turning operations is investigated. First a mathematical model of the surface generation process was developed. Second in order to control the texture of the machined surface a micro-positioning stage and the associated command generation software were designed and built. Experimental examples have shown that surface texture can be precisely controlled and is in good agreement with the theoretical predictions.

  • The automobile industry is ubiquitous and involved in the handling of metal, machines, electricity, electron, and chemistry including the products of many types of processes. In the process of installing engines as a part of the car assembly line, the measurement and correction of the position of the stud bolts consumes a great deal of time. Additionally, defective parts must be manually removed. In the process of engine installation, the speed of the operation, related to the economics of vehicle assembly, is dependent upon measuring the precise position of the stud bolt, reducing the length of correction time, and increasing the working rate. This paper deals with securing the economic feasibility of the manufacturing process, increasing the safety by removing risk factors in the working area, and improving and equalizing the quality by developing an automatic system for the process involving a stud bolt.

  • Most of all manufacturing industries are pursuing the manufacturing process innovation through the production process automation but the printing industry still does not get out of the analog ways of the entire process compared the entire manufacturing industry. Today, many printing enterprises have the difficulties by the short for delivery, multi-item small amount printing, high quality, rise in raw material cost, drop in receiving order cost, and etc. The printing industry can get over these difficulties and issues by implementing the compact workflow line, merge with the others, automatization and networking, minimization of the repetitive operation, efficiency of the working process, optimization of the operators' value creation, minimization of cost and materials and fast make-ready. The object of this thesis establishes the experimental data and study cases applicable in the printing industry by having high labor productivity and work in line with printing industry processes through "lean printing system".

  • 최근 적층제조기술을 활용한 건축 상품 시공방법이 제안되고 있다. 적층제조기술은 건축 상품 시공과정을 자동화하여 작업자 안전을 확보한다. 또한, 비정형 형상의 구현효율성이 높아 건축물과 기반시설제조과정에 적용 가능성을 주목 받고 있다. 적층제조기술은 현대의 건설 산업에서 요구되는 컴퓨터 기반의 시공자동화, 자원관리, 시공기간예측 등을 만족할 수 있는 기술이다. 하지만, 아직 부족한 누적 데이터와 표준, 규제, 운영방법 등에 의해 산업 적용이 제한되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 건축 적층제조기술 적용가능성을 분석하기 위해 2개의 적층제조시스템으로 건축 상품을 제조한다. 또한 각 건축 상품은 적층생산결정모델을 통해 적합한 제조시스템으로 투입하는 방법이 적용되고, 실증 실험을 통해 제조과정의 문제를 확인한다. 결과적으로 건축 상품의 품질 향상을 위한 확장된 적층생산결정모델을 제안한다.

  • 적층제조(AM, 3D프린팅) 기술은 건설업계에서 다양한 효과로 주목받고 있다. 특히 시공자동화, 자원관리, 시공기간 정밀도 향상, 작업자 안전 등의 문제점을 해소하는 능력을 기대하고 있다. 하지만, 적층 시공 과정은 축적된 데이터가 많은 기존 시공기술과 달리 성숙하지 못한 절차 및 시공방법으로 인해 시행착오와 예측이 어려운 사고를 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 현장 시공형 건설 AM 프로세스를 설계하고 실증을 위한 실험이 진행된다. 또한, 정성적인 실험결과의 원인 분석이 진행되었다.
