  • In this research, we developed video analytic algorithms to detect water-level automatically and a system for proactive alarming using intelligent CCTV cameras. We applied these algorithms and a system to test-beds and verified for practical use. We made camera-selection policies and operation plans to keep the detection accuracy high and to optimize the suitability for the ever-changing weather condition, while the environmental factors such as camera shaking and weather condition can affect to detection accuracy. The estimation result of algorithms showed 90% detection accuracy for all CCTV camera types. For water level detection, NIR camera performed great. NIR camera performed over 95% accuracy in day or night, suitable in natural weather condition such as shaking condition, fog, and low light, needs similar installment skills with common cameras, and spends only 15% high cost. As a result, we practically tested water level detection algorithms and operation system based on intelligent CCTV camera. Furthermore, we expect the positive evidences when it is applied for public use.

  • This paper describes the application method of bumper area defined in the ship domain theory and it is to identify risky sectors in VTS(Vessel Traffic Services) area. The final goal of this work is to develop early warning system providing the location information with high traffic risks in Mokpo VTS area and to prevent the human errors of VTS Officer(VTSO). The current goal of this paper is to find evaluation and detection method of risky sectors. The ratio between overlapped bumper area of each vessels and the summing area of a designated sector, Ratio to Evaluate Risk(RER) ${\gamma}$ is used as one of evaluation and detection parameter. The usability of overlapped bumper area is testified through three kinds of scenarios for various traffic situations. The marine traffic data used in the experiments is collected by AIS(Automatic Identification System) receiver and then compiled in the SQL(Structured Query Language) Server. Through the analysis of passing vessel's tracks within the boundary of Mokpo VTS area, the total of 11 sectors are identified as evaluation unit sector. As experiment results from risk evaluation for the 11 sectors, it is clearly known that the proposed method with RER ${\gamma}$ can provide the location information of high risky sectors which are need to keep traffic tracks of vessel movements and to maintain traffic monitoring by VTSO.

  • In this paper, a Kalman filter application for GDSS(Group Digital Surveillance System) developed to protect an aquaculture farms is discussed GDSS is composed by a WIWAS(Watching, Identification, Warning, and Action System) and a FDS(Fishery Detection System) that will monitor incoming and outgoing vessels in the aquaculture farms. In the FDS, a tracking function to track vessels without F-AIS(Fishery Automatic Identification System) is needed and the Kalman filter is applied to track vessels around the aquaculture farms. Some simulation results for the multi-objects with white noise is presented and the adaptation possibility for tracking system is discussed.

  • Internet of things has revolutionaries every field of life due to the use of artificial intelligence within Machine Learning. It is successfully being used for the study of Radiation monitoring, prediction of Ultraviolet and Electromagnetic rays. However, there is no particular system available that can monitor and detect waves. Therefore, the present study designed in which IOT enables intelligence system based on machine learning was developed for the prediction of the radiation and their effects of human beings. Moreover, a sensor based system was installed in order to detect harmful radiation present in the environment and this system has the ability to alert the humans within the range of danger zone with a buzz, so that humans can move to a safer place. Along with this automatic sensor system; a self-created dataset was also created in which sensor values were recorded. Furthermore, in order to study the outcomes of the effect of these rays researchers used Support Vector Machine, Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Decision Trees, Extra Trees, Bagging Classifier, Random Forests, Logistic Regression and Adaptive Boosting Classifier were used. To sum up the whole discussion it is stated the results give high accuracy and prove that the proposed system is reliable and accurate for the detection and monitoring of waves. Furthermore, for the prediction of outcome, Adaptive Boosting Classifier has shown the best accuracy of 81.77% as compared with other classifiers.
