Study on Effective Noise Management Plan of Construction Site (건설공사장의 효율적인 소음관리방안을 위한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to prepare the plans for managing construction noise effectively and solving the popular enmity from construction noise reasonably. In order to carry out this purpose, it covers the efficient improvement plans for adjusting the construction noise regulation standard rationally and managing the automatic noise measuring system which shows the advantage for construction noise management and popular enmity solution due to construction noise. The three alternative plans of the construction noise regulation standard and the recommendation plan including the guideline for installing and managing the automatic noise measuring system are suggested consequently.

  • This study is about correlation between WECPNL and other units such as NNI, Leq and Ldn for aircraft noise that ere measured by automatic measuring system networks for grasping the effect of aircraft noise and investigated the aircraft noise level from 2004 to 2005 nearby 10 airports in Korea. It is very important to find the relationship among the various noise units, because exchange between the results of many other nation's study can improve the assessment and mitigation study of the aircraft noise. Correlation between WECPNL and M is better than one between WECPNL and Leq and between WECPNL and Ldn, because WECPNL and NNI are based on the PNL.

  • The best sunroof wind noise quality is mainly related to the sunroof deflector which affects both low-speed buffeting and high-speed aerodynamic noise. An automatic deflector-moving and noise-measuring apparatus is developed to obtain hundreds of measuring data which haven't been available by hand. With an additional program for fast and easy noise analysis, this device leads quickly to the better position and angle of the deflector. Now, the 'better' means the lower noise level and the robuster design solution. From these kinds of better solutions, more meaningful guidelines on the deflector design and sunroof wind noise reduction can be suggested.

  • Currently domestic criteria for the aircraft noise is being adapted WECPNL(weighted equivalent continuous perceived noise level), while internationally preferred method is which is originated from $L_{eq}$ and can evaluate even environmental noise. WECPNL used in domestic as a evaluation method is only for the aircraft noise. It is, therefore, not adequate for the evaluation of residents' injury, moreover, it is very difficult to measure the aircraft noise with WECPNL due to the complicated calculating procedures as long as automatic measuring system is not used. Accordingly, this study aims to propose alternative evaluation method for the aircraft noise. To achieve this purpose, the data measured by automatic measuring system were gathered and calculated with three evaluation methods: WECPNL, $L_{eq}$ and $L_{dn}$ and the results calculated from different methods were compared and analyzed.

  • In this paper the development of an automatic body temperature measuring system which can be attached to the milking machine has been studied. Since the disease is highly related to the body temperature of the cattle, early detection of the abnormal temperature would prevent the severe problems which may occur in dairy farms. The electronic component AD590 is used as a temperature sensor for the system. The device is highly robust against the noise since the output signal is the current. So it can be applied to the long distance sensing. The resolution of the signal is $0.1{\circ}C$ and the current is 10 mV. Also the A/D converter is designed for interfacing the sensor with a computer. A temperature measuring experiment using the developed system has been done for measuring the temperature of human beings and the system was proven to be useful for measuring the body temperature of the dairy cattle properly.

  • Automakers have been forcing their suppliers to guarantee qualities of parts. Then, the suppliers have met the fundamental quality requirements such as dimensions and functions, but they could not sufficiently satisfy the automakers' noise requirements yet because automatic noise inspection systems were little successfully adopted In mass-production lines. This study tried to develop a system for automatically checking noise radiated from a rotating engine part and filtering parts emitting noise higher than criteria: the upper limits of a overall noise level or a noise spectrum. A commercial noise measurement system was used for measuring noise, and then the noise data was transmitted to a governing program through OLE(object, linking and embedding) functions. The governing program, belonging to a total noise inspection system managed the noise measurement and analysis. This system was successfully adapted for distinguishing bad parts according to the noise criteria.

  • This paper presents the automatic plumbness measuring system form improving the accuracy and working time for plumbness measuring of semi-umbrella type hydraulic turbine generator. It is general practice that rotating shaft should run within acceptable vibration limit. In order to obtain more accurate measuring data for single stage shaft on the semi-umbrella type, plumbness approach must be established carefully and accurately. Generally, present plumbness procedure is required several calculation algorithm, laser sensor and data acquisition devices. As a result of application to actual new system it is confirmed that working time could be saved over 80% and accurate measurement data could be acquired.

Among them WECPNL (weighted equivalent continuous perceived noise level) is the rating scale for aircraft noise currently being used in domestic and applied only for aircraft noise. However $L_{dn}$ calculated from $L_{eq}$ $L_{eq}$ is used as a rating scale for not only aircraft noise but also environmental noise. Besides, it is easy to calculate and internationally preferred. It is, therefore, not adequate for the evaluation of residents' exposure. Moreover it is very difficult to measure the aircraft noise by WECPNL due to the complicated calculating procedures if automatic measuring system is not used. Accordingly. this study aims to propose alternative evaluation procedure for the aircraft noise. Since e disease is strongly related to the body temperature of cattle, early detection of the abnormal temperature would prevent the severe problems which nay occur in dairy farms. An electronic component AD590J is used as temperature sensor for the system, The device is highly robust against the noise since the output signal is the current so it can be applied to a long distance sensing The resolution of signal is 0.1$^{\circ}C$ and the current is 10㎷ Also 12-bit A/D converter is desisted fir interfacing the sensor with a one-chip microprocessor. A temperature measuring experiment using the developed system has been done for measuring the temperature of human beings and the system was proven to be useful for measuring the body temperature of dairy cattle properly. A geared AC motor is used for the feed supplying unit The heater and fm are used as temperature control unit. The feed supplying unit and temperature control unit are well operating in the laboratory experiment.

  • This paper presents the automatic alignment measuring system for improving the accuracy and working time of alignment of large vertical hydraulic pump turbine. It is general practice that rotating shaft should run within acceptable vibration limit. In order to obtain better run-out data of multi-stage rotor, careful and accurate alignment approach must be established. Generally, present alignment procedure are required several iterative works and so many manpower. Therefore, the new system has been developed using a vector calculation algorithm, laser sensor and data acquisition devices. As a result of appling to actual machines, it is confirmed that manpower is saved up to an average 90%.
