This present research was carried out by dividing two parts; field surveying and data processing, in order to analyze changed patterns of a shoreline. Firstly, the shoreline information measured by the precise GPS positioning during long duration was collected. Secondly, the algorithm for detecting an auto boundary with regards to the changed shoreline with multi-image data was developed. Then, a comparative research was conducted. Haeundae beach which is one of the most famous ones in Korea was selected as a test site. RTK-GPS surveying had been performed overall eight times from September 2005 to September 2009. The filed test by aerial Lidar was conducted twice on December 2006 and March 2009 respectively. As a result estimated from both sensors, there is a slight difference. The average length of shoreline analyzed by RTK-GPS is approximately 1,364.6 m, while one from aerial Lidar is about 1,402.5 m. In this investigation, the specific algorithm for detecting the shoreline detection was developed by Visual C++ MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class). The analysis result estimated by aerial photo and satellite image was 1,391.0 m. The level of reliability was 98.1% for auto boundary detection when it compared with real surveying data.

Measuring nation images was a challenging task when employing offline surveys was the only option. It was not only prohibitively expensive, but too much time-consuming and therefore unfitted to this rapidly changing world. Although demands for monitoring real-time nation images were ever-increasing, an affordable and reliable solution to measure nation images has not been available up to this date. The researcher in this study developed a semi-automatic ontology construction algorithm, named "double-crossing double keyword collection (or DCDKC)" to measure nation images from Wikipedia in real-time. The ontology, WikiOnto, can be used to reflect dynamic image changes. In this study, an instance of WikiOnto was constructed by applying the algorithm to the big-three exporting countries in East Asia, Korea, Japan, and China. Then, the numbers of page views for words in the instance of WikiOnto were counted. A collection of the counting for each country was compared to each other to inspect the possibility to use for dynamic nation images. As for the conclusion, the result shows how the images of the three countries have changed for the period the study was performed. It confirms that DCDKC can very well be used for a real-time nation-image monitoring system.
In this paper. we propose a semi-automatic segmentation algorithm to extract organ in 3D medical data by using a manually segmentation result in a sing1e slice. Generally region glowing based tracking method consists of 3 steps object projection. seed extraction and boundary decision by region growing. But because the boundary between organs in medical data is vague, improper seeds make the boundary dig into the organ or extend to the false region. In the proposed algorithm seeds are carefully extracted to find suitable boundaries between organs after region growing. And the jagged boundary at low gradient region after region growing is corrected by post-processing using Fourier descriptor. Also two-path tracking make it possible to catch up newly appeared areas. The proposed algorithm provides satisfactory results in segmenting 1 mm distance kidneys from X-rav CT body image set of 82 slices.

This paper suggests a new algorithm automatically searching for Region-of-Interest(ROI) with high speed, using the edge information of high frequency subband transformed with wavelet. The proposed method executes a searching algorithm of 4-direction object boundary by the unit of block using the edge information, and detects ROIs. The whole image is splitted by $64{\times}64$ or $32{\times}32$ sized blocks and the blocks can be ROI block or background block according to taking the edges or not. The 4-directions searche the image from the outside to the center and the algorithm uses a feature that the low-DOF image has some edges as one goes to center. After searching all the edges, the method regards the inner blocks of the edges as ROI, and makes the ROI masks and sends them to server. This is one of the dynamic ROI method. The existing methods have had some problems of complicated filtering and region merge, but this method improved considerably the problems. Also, it was possible to apply to an application requiring real-time processing caused by the process of the unit of block.
Various adult diseases (cerebral apoplexy, athymiait, etc.) result from hypertension, blood circulation disturbance and increment of HBP. In early diagnosis of these diseases, MRI, X-ray and PET have been used rather aim for treatment than for a prevention of disease. Since. cerebral apoplexy and athymiait could appear to the regular/irregular persons, it is very important to measure HBP which has connection with cerebral blood flow state. HBP has more diagnosis elements than that of BP. So, we can diagnose accurate hypertension by measuring of HBP. But, existing sphygmomanometers and automatic BP monitors can not measure HBP, and can not execute complex function(measuring of BP/HBP, blood flow improvement). Purpose of this paper is to develop a system and algorithm which can measure BP/HBP for accurate diagnosis. Also, we extracted diagnosis factors by correlativity analysis of BP/HBP. Maximum pressure of HBP corresponds to 62% that of BP, Minimum pressure of HBP corresponds to 46% that of BP. Therefore, we developed the multi-function automatic blood pressure monitor which can measure BP/HBP and improve cerebral blood flow state.

Continuous monitoring of spatial and temporal changes in key marine environmental parameters such as SST (sea surface temperature) near IORS (Ieodo Ocean Research Station) is demanded to investigate the ocean ecosystem, climate change, and sea-air interaction processes. In this study, we aimed to develop the system for continuously measuring SST using a TIR (thermal infrared) sensor mounted at the IORS. New SST algorithm is developed to provide SST of better quality that includes automatic atmospheric correction and emissivity calculation for different oceanic conditions. Then, the TIR-based SST products were validated against in-situ water temperature measurements during May 17-26, 2015 and July 15-18, 2015 at the IORS, yielding the accuracy of 0.72-0.85 R-square, and $0.37-0.90^{\circ}C$ RMSE. This TIR-based SST observing system can be installed easily at similar Ocean Research Stations such as Sinan Gageocho and Ongjin Socheongcho, which provide a vision to be utilized as calibration site for SST remotely sensed from satellites to be launched in future.

In this paper, we propose a user friendly object-based image retrieval system using the interaction between cortex and hippocampus. Most existing ways of queries in content-based image retrieval rely on query by example or query by sketch. But these methods of queries are not adequate to needs of people's various queries because they are not easy for people to use and restrict. We propose a method of automatic color object extraction using CSB tree map(Color and Spatial based Binary をn map). Extracted objects were transformed to bit stream representing information such as color, size and location by region labelling algorithm and they are learned by the hippocampal neural network using the interplay between cortex and hippocampus. The cells of exciting at peculiar features in brain generate the special sign when people recognize some patterns. The existing neural networks treat each attribute of features evenly. Proposed hippocampal neural network makes an adaptive fast content-based image retrieval system using excitatory learning method that forwards important features to long-term memories and inhibitory teaming method that forwards unimportant features to short-term memories controlled by impression.
This paper describes Linear Discriminant Analysis and common vector extraction for speech recognition. Voice signal contains psychological and physiological properties of the speaker as well as dialect differences, acoustical environment effects, and phase differences. For these reasons, the same word spelled out by different speakers can be very different heard. This property of speech signal make it very difficult to extract common properties in the same speech class (word or phoneme). Linear algebra method like BT (Karhunen-Loeve Transformation) is generally used for common properties extraction In the speech signals, but common vector extraction which is suggested by M. Bilginer et at. is used in this paper. The method of M. Bilginer et al. extracts the optimized common vector from the speech signals used for training. And it has 100% recognition accuracy in the trained data which is used for common vector extraction. In spite of these characteristics, the method has some drawback-we cannot use numbers of speech signal for training and the discriminant information among common vectors is not defined. This paper suggests advanced method which can reduce error rate by maximizing the discriminant information among common vectors. And novel method to normalize the size of common vector also added. The result shows improved performance of algorithm and better recognition accuracy of 2% than conventional method.
Since the introduction of web 2.0 technology, social network service has been recognized as the foundation of an important future information technology. The advent of web 2.0 has led to the change of content creators. In the existing web, content creators are service providers, whereas they have changed into service users in the recent web. Users share experiences with other users improving contents quality, thereby it has increased the importance of social network. As a result, diverse forms of social network service have been emerged from relations and experiences of users. Social network is a network to construct and express social relations among people who share interests and activities. Today's social network service has not merely confined itself to showing user interactions, but it has also developed into a level in which content generation and evaluation are interacting with each other. As the volume of contents generated from social network service and the number of connections between users have drastically increased, the social network extraction method becomes more complicated. Consequently the following problems for the social network extraction arise. First problem lies in insufficiency of representational power of object in the social network. Second problem is incapability of expressional power in the diverse connections among users. Third problem is the difficulty of creating dynamic change in the social network due to change in user interests. And lastly, lack of method capable of integrating and processing data efficiently in the heterogeneous distributed computing environment. The first and last problems can be solved by using FOAF, a tool for describing ontology-based user profiles for construction of social network. However, solving second and third problems require a novel technology to reflect dynamic change of user interests and relations. In this paper, we propose a novel method to overcome the above problems of existing social network extraction method by applying FOAF (a tool for describing user profiles) and RSS (a literary web work publishing mechanism) to OLAP system in order to dynamically innovate and manage FOAF. We employed data interoperability which is an important characteristic of FOAF in this paper. Next we used RSS to reflect such changes as time flow and user interests. RSS, a tool for literary web work, provides standard vocabulary for distribution at web sites and contents in the form of RDF/XML. In this paper, we collect personal information and relations of users by utilizing FOAF. We also collect user contents by utilizing RSS. Finally, collected data is inserted into the database by star schema. The system we proposed in this paper generates OLAP cube using data in the database. 'Dynamic FOAF Management Algorithm' processes generated OLAP cube. Dynamic FOAF Management Algorithm consists of two functions: one is find_id_interest() and the other is find_relation (). Find_id_interest() is used to extract user interests during the input period, and find-relation() extracts users matching user interests. Finally, the proposed system reconstructs FOAF by reflecting extracted relationships and interests of users. For the justification of the suggested idea, we showed the implemented result together with its analysis. We used C# language and MS-SQL database, and input FOAF and RSS as data collected from livejournal.com. The implemented result shows that foaf : interest of users has reached an average of 19 percent increase for four weeks. In proportion to the increased foaf : interest change, the number of foaf : knows of users has grown an average of 9 percent for four weeks. As we use FOAF and RSS as basic data which have a wide support in web 2.0 and social network service, we have a definite advantage in utilizing user data distributed in the diverse web sites and services regardless of language and types of computer. By using suggested method in this paper, we can provide better services coping with the rapid change of user interests with the automatic application of FOAF.
Comparison shopping is a merchant brokering process that finds the best price for the desired product from several Web-based online stores. To get a scalable comparison shopper, we need an agent that automatically constructs a simple information extraction procedure, called a wrapper, for each semi-structured store. Automatic construction of wrappers for HTML-based Web stores is difficult because HTML only defines how information is to be displayed, not what it means, and different stores employ different ways of manipulating customer queries and different presentation formats for displaying product descriptions. Wrapper induction has been suggested as a promising strategy for overcoming this heterogeneity. However, previous scalable comparison-shoppers such as ShopBot rely on a strong bias in the product descriptions, and as a result, many stores that do not confirm to this bias were unable to be recognized. This paper proposes a more scalable comparison-shopping agent named MORPHEUS. MORPHEUS presents a simple but robust inductive learning algorithm that antomatically constructs wrappers. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is to recognize the position and the structure of a product description unit by finding the most frequent pattern from the sequence of logical line information in output HTML pages. MORPHEUS successfully constructs correct wtappers for most stores by weakening a bias assumed in previous systems. It also tolerates some noises that might be present in production descriptions such as missing attributes. MORPHEUS generates the wrappers rapidly by excluding the pre-processing phase of removing redundant fragments in a page such as a header, a tailer, and advertisements. Eventually, MORPHEUS provides a framework from which a customized comparison-shopping agent can be organized for a user by facilitating the dynamic addition of new stores.
