In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

This research presents distributed database and knowledge-base modeling approach for intelligent product design system. The product design information in this study is described by a collection of rules and design knowledge that are utilized according to the product development procedures. In this work, a network-based architecture has been developed to enable dispersed designers to simultaneously accomplish remote design tasks. A client/server communication diagram has also been proposed to facilitate consistent primary information modeling for multi-user access and reuse of designed results. An intelligent product design system has been studied with the concepts of distributed database and network-based architecture in order to support concurrent engineering design and automatic design part assembly. The system provides the capability of composing new designs from proper design elements stored in the database and knowledge-base. The distributed intelligent product design is applied to the design of an automobile part as an example.

This paper introduces a new web based method to remotely upgrade firmwares of Cable Modems (CM) which are integral part in providing high-speed Internet access through Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks. Also, it discusses various practical problems arising in the upgrading process. Traditional upgrade has been performed by modifying the CM configuration fie. This paper shows a new web based CM firmware upgrade method using SNMP and MIB which greatly reduces upgrading time, cost and man-hour than traditional firmware upgrade methods. This method has been shown to be very efficient and practical. This method will make significant impact especially because tens of million cable modems are currently waiting to be upgraded soon to the next version from the current version.

According to the results of analyzing the space composition by focusing on the impediment persons latrines among the public latrines, the conclusions of this study are as follows. In order to eliminate the rejection feeling which the word feeling of impediment persons' latrine communicates, its name should be changed into the impediment persons latrine. Thus, the impediment persons, the old and the weak, the pregnant women and the nursing mothers, who suffer the difficulty to use the general latrines, should use such impediment persons latrines jointly. By lowering the height from the ground to the latrine floor, the impediment persons, who use their wheel chairs, should gain the easy access to such impediment persons latrines. By equipping the doorway of public latrines and impediment persons latrines with the automatic door instead of the sliding door, the impediment persons should use such latrines conveniently. The locations and sizes of impediment persons latrines differ with one another. Therefore, it is necessary to unite constantly their location, scale, and facilities.

Recent development of IT industry including smart phones and communication technologies has resulted in rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and relevant markets. The access to IoT is becoming easier thanks to the boards and IoT products, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Large-scale business sites use IoT technology to manage inventories, but small-scale business sites do not. In the present study, We ported Linux-based Raspbian to Raspberry Pi, It utilizes web server communication to control the Arduino through the application We used a color sensor to figure out the kind of inventory. We also built a database using MySQL to store the data. We used raspberry pi to check whether the proposed system works and apply it to small-scale business.

In this paper, we present a retransmission power adjustment (RPA) scheme for DS/SSMA ALOHA packet radio systems with packet combining. In the proposed RPA scheme, retransmission power is adjusted in such a way that the erroneously-received packet can be recovered with a minimized interference to other user packets. We analyze the performance of the system with the RPA by employing the equilibrium point analysis (EPA), and confirm that the results obtained from the EPA are very close to the simulation results in low power cases. Simulation results demonstrate that the RPA scheme brings forth performance gain in the throughput and the average delay while saving a significant amount of transmission power. We also investigate the stability of the system from the EPA results, and conclude that the system becomes stable as the offered load increases or the level of retransmission power decreases.

We fabricated superconducting magnet for MRI and tested it using automatic field mapping system. This magnet has 20cm diameter of room temperature bore for the sample access. In this paper, the fabrication of MRI magnet system and the test results of field homogeneity are described.

This paper presents an approach to automate process planning of press dies for manufacturing of car bodies. Considering that the press-dies used at the same press operations regardless of the panels they produce or the car models of which they produce panels have similar shapes except for the forming part of the dies, general approaches to recognize manufacturing features from CAD models are not necessary. Therefore, a hybrid approach is proposed combining feature-based design and feature-extraction approaches. The proposed method recognizes features by parsing the parameters extracted from CAD models and finds proper operations by querying the database by the recognized features. An internet-based process planning system is developed to demonstrate the proposed approach and to suggest a new paradigm of process planning system that utilizes an internet access to the CAD system.

With the advent of the ubiquitous technology age, the progress of network technology has enabled a robust sensor communication, not just in cities, but also in poor surroundings such as deserts, polar regions, or underwater environments. In this paper, we propose a Multiple Acknowledgement (MA) technique to replace the conventional Automatic Repeat request (ARQ) technique. The MA mechanism is to send an Ack to many receivers simultaneously. The CH (master, coordinator) of the unit cluster broadcasts a Beacon frame where Ack information of the previously transmitted data is included. This technique can reduce the number of transmissions and overhead significantly. The proposed technique is a scheme improving the efficiency of an underwater sensor network where the uplink data transmission is the mainstream. The Performance of the ARQ, Block Ack, Pervasive Block Ack and the proposed method were compared with one another and analyzed. The proposed method showed significant performance improvement as compared with the ARQ, BA, and PBA in its channel efficiency.

In this paper, presented was the research work of finding practical application systems using IT that would be adopted by the next generation high speed train for the safety, convenience, and comfort of the passengers and crew members. Study on the applications using smart sensors and IT brought up 26 feasible application cases. Among them 16 cases were related with IT applications and 10 cases smart sensor applications. After having public hearings and surveys to make the decision more objective and generally acceptable, 7 applications - such as information providing service using personal LCD monitor, alarm service, individual internet access service, automatic and remote air conditioning, wireless visual communication with an attendant, extraordinary sound detection, urgent situation in toilet monitoring - out of those 26 were chosen as the final applications.
