머신비젼 시스템을 이용(利用)한 스크랩 자동선별(自動選別) 연구(硏究) (Machine Vision Applications in Automated Scrap-separating Research)

  • 본 연구에서는 색도인식이 가능한 버신 비젼시스템을 설계 제작하고, 제작한 시스템을 이용하여 철스크랩에 혼합되어 있는 Cu스크랩을 자동으로 분리하는 시험연구를 행하였다. 머신비젼시스템은 크게 측정부, 이송부 그리고 ejector로 구분되며, CCD카메라, 광원 및 frame grabber로 구성된 측정부에서 이메지 프로쎄싱 알고리즘에 의해 이송되어 오는 스크랩 표면의 색도를 인식하게 된다. 또한 그 인식결과에 따라 I/O interface가 구성된 콘트롤러에 의해 에어노즐을 작동하도록 하여 임의로 지정한 특정 표면색상의 스크랩만을 분리하도록 되어 있다. 본 시스템을 이용하여 철스크랩에 포함된 Cu스크램의 선별실험을 수행한 결과, 스크랩 이송속도가 15 m/min.에서 90%이상의 선별효율을 나타내어, 향후 선별기능의 고속화가 실현될 경우 산업적으로 적용 가능성이 매우 높은 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 자율주행차의 도입으로 인적 오류에 의한 교통사고가 크게 줄어드는 것과 같은 긍정적 파급효과를 기대할 수 있다. 그러나 자율주행차의 H/W 또는 S/W의 오류 및 기능 부족등으로 새로운 교통안전 이슈가 앞으로 발생할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 자율주행차의 주행 안전성을 평가하기 위한 현실적이고 체계적인 시나리오 구축이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 경찰청 교통사고 데이터를 바탕으로 자율주행차 주행 안전성을 평가하기 위한 상황 시나리오(functional scenario)를 개발하였다. GIS 프로그램인 QGIS를 활용하여 국내 고속도로 톨게이트 및 램프 구간에서 발생한 교통사고 데이터를 추출하고 교통사고 개요 항목을 확인한 후, 교통사고 유형을 분류하였다. 또한, 교통사고 유형 분류 결과를 바탕으로 톨게이트와 램프 구간의 다양한 위험 상황을 내용으로 하는 상황 시나리오를 개발하였다.

소형 부품 자동화 조립시스템의 근골격계질환 예방을 위한 인간공학적 개선안 연구 (Ergonomic Interventions to Control Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders in Automated Light Assembly Manufacturing System)

  • Ergonomic intervention techniques were adopted to assess and control potential risk factors of work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) in the automated light assembly manufacturing system. Ten different kinds of assembly workstations implemented with a conveyor system and twelve female workers were observed and evaluated with careful video film analysis. Several close examinations using sets of checklists established by qualified safety and health organizations, such as NIOSH, OSHA, and ANSI, were conducted and every workers and staffs in the site participated in the self-report questionnaires and off-line interviews. Typical risk factors and symptoms of the upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders were found and categorized into specific parts of body. To reduce risk factors of WMSDs and improve system productivity new revised workstation standards, physical dimensions, were suggested accordant with anthropometric characteristics of workers and a heuristic decision strategy of rotating shift work schedules according to work contents has proposed to mitigate cumulative physical stress. Finally, ergonomic programs of entire company to prevent WMSDs were structured.

경로 점유권을 이용한 AGV의 경로 제어 알고리즘 (Path Control Algorithm for AGV Using Right of Path Occupation)

  • 본 논문에서는 AGVS(Automated Guide Vehicle System)의 충돌 및 교착 상태를 예측 및 회피하는 방법을 제안하고 회피에 따른 AGV의 지연 시간을 분산시킬 수 있도록 경로 점유권(PO: right of Path Occupying)을 제안한다. 이를 위해 먼저, AGV의 복잡한 작업 환경을 AGVS의 필요한 요소로 분류하는 모델을 제시한다. 이후, AGV의 최단 경로 탐색 알고리즘을 그래프 탐색 기법인 A* 알고리즘을 이용하여 구현하고 경로의 소요 시간, 방향 및 방향 전환 벡터를 얻은 뒤 이를 시뮬레이션 프로그램의 입력 데이터 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 수행은 충돌 예측과 회피를 평가하기 위해 사용되었으며 그 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 지연시간을 최소화하는데 효과적임을 입증하였다.

Utilization of Thematic Mappers Data for the Comparison of Methods to Create Watersheds

  • Delineation of watersheds is one of the most basic steps for water resource management and National Park management. The purpose of this study is to investigate how to utilize Thematic Mappers scenes to compare watersheds created by running a model with those produced by digitizing topographic maps of Keum River basin. A methodology is designed and tested using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing to map areas with various thematic maps. A CAD data on watersheds from the Decision Support system for Water Quality is converted into GIS format. The digital elevation model with 100-meter resolution is used to create watershed by cumulative watershed method. TM scenes are also classified by new procedures including stacking method, NDVI, NDWI, and unsupervised classification methods. To evaluate the relative correctness Kyerongsan National Park was studied intensively whose area was divided into 6 watersheds in both cases. The boundaries of watershed from the model are less correct than those of the topographic maps. This result shows that automated watershed creating system needs higher-resolution digital elevation model than 100-meters.

CoDABot: An Agent-Based Continuous Double Auction System

  • Most of current Internet auction systems are simple server programs that partly automated the function of the conventional auction house. These system do not provide sufficient independence, distribution and parallelism between the functions of the conventional auction house. In there are automated by server program, but still users need to execute a repetitive task to monitor the dynamic progress of a certain auction, decide proper bid price, and submit the bid. Another problem is that they support only single as English auction and Dutch auction, but they do not support the double auctions are superior to the single auction with respect to speed., efficiency, and the fair distribution of profit. In this paper, we present design and implement of an agent-based continuous double auction system, called CoDABot, in order to mitigate the limitations of current auctions system. CoDABot supports continuous double auction, provides various bidding agent for users to select, and has been implemented into a multi-agent system that realize more independent, distributed, and parallel subsystems.

수면다원검사의 정도관리 - 한국에서의 경험 및 제언 (Quality Assurance in Polysomnography - A Korean experience and critical suggestions)

  • Polysomnography is an essential methodology for diagnosing and following up sleep disorders and doing researches on human sleep. Sleep medicine, mainly with the utilization of polysomnographic techniques, has developed itself as one of the promising fields in the 21st century medicine. Korea is not an exception in importing and developing sleep medicine into the conventional medicine. However, it still remains to be clarified what polysomnography is for and how it should be done, considering the relatively recent introduction of sleep medicine into Korea. The author, being a board-certified sleep medicine specailist, having experienced spreading out sleep medicine within Korea for the past four years, and having recently set up a major sleep study facility in Korea at Seoul National University Hospital, attempts in this introductory critical article to review the essential issues related to quality assurance in polysomnographic study of human sleep. Also, unconditional introduction of "automated" sleep scoring system, which has been found to have significantly reduced reliability in various studies including the author's own, is critically reviewed. The author suggests that quality assurance and training program should be initiated and established by a responsible sleep medicine-related organization such as the Korean Association of Sleep Medicine and Psychophysiology.

린 6시그마 분석을 통한 도면 주기 품질 향상 방안 연구 (A Study on the Quality Improvement of Mechanical Drawing Notes Using Lean 6 Sigma Analysis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find useful solutions by analyzing causes and results about defects on mechanical drawing notes and provide an automated tool with solutions to mechanical engineers. Methods: The collected data for defects on mechanical drawing notes were from ongoing development and mass production projects. Various measurement methods were used based on the Lean 6 Sigma analysis such as Process analysis, C&E diagram and some statistical analysis. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The results of the Lean 6 Sigma analysis, the validity of the selected indicators for improving drawing notes quality was verified through the verification of cause variables. The strategy established to improve the mechanical drawing notes was reflected as an automated program, and the defects were within a manageable range and achieved target Sigma level. Conclusion: Through the application of the "Mechanical drawing notes automation tool", it is expected to resolve the "Voice of Customer, VOC" and "Voice of Business, VOB".

복합형상 및 다중경로에 대한 Exit Burr 판별 알고리듬의 개발- 스플라인을 포함한 Exit Burr의 해석 - (Development of Exit Burr Identification Algorithm on Multiple Feature Workpiece and Multiple Tool Path)

  • In the automated production environment in the present days, the minimization of manual operation becomes a very important factor in increasing the efficiency of the production system. The exit burr produced through the milling operation on the edge of workpiece usually requires manual deburring process to enhance the level of precision of the resulting product. So far, researchers have developed various methods to understand the formation of exit burr in cutting process. One method to analytically identify the formation of exit burr was to use the geometrical information of CAD and CAM data used in automated machining. This method, in turn, generated the information resulting from the analysis such as burr type, cutting region, and exit angle. Up to now, the geometrical data were restricted to the single feature and single path. In this paper, a method to deal with the complicated geometric features such as line segment, arc, hole, and spline will be presented and validated using the field data. This method also deals with the complex workpiece shape which is a combination of multiple features. As for the cutting path, multiple tool path is analyzed in order to simulate the real cutting process. All this analysis is combined into a Windows based software and real data are used to validate the program in the conclusion.
