M-band 웨이블릿 변환을 이용한 볼테라 적응 등화기 (An Adaptive Volterra Series-based Nonlinear Equalizer Using M-band Wavelet Transform)

  • This paper proposes and adaptive nonlinear equalizer based on Volterra Series along with M-band wavelet transform(M-DWT). The proposed wavelet transform-domain approach leads to diagonalization of the input vector auto-correlation matrix, which yields clustering its eigenvalue spread around one, and improving the convergence rate of the corresponding transform-domain LMS algorithm. In particular, the proposed adaptive Volterra equalizer is employed to compensate for the output distortion produced by a weakly nonlinear system. Finally, some simulation results obtained by using a TWT amplifier model are provide to demonstrated the converging performance of the proposed approach.

AIS 기반 관제의 문제점 보완 및 모니터 화면 개선을 통한 관제향상 방안

  • 기존 RADAR 기반의 VTS에 AIS를 연계 집약하면서 예측 불가능한 데이터 전송률에도 동일선박으로부터의 AIS 및 RADAR 데이터는 상관관계를 유지하면서 물표에 대한 Tracking이 지속적으로 이루어져야 하지만 AIS 신호 Lost시 RADAR Tracking 자동 전환이 안 되는 경우가 많이 발생하고 있다. 또한 3개의 VTS 모니터 화면에 각각 다른 Scale과 다른 관제구역이 디스플레이 됨으로써 특히 모니터 가장자리 부근의 관제구역은 사각지대로 관제사의 집중도가 떨어질 수밖에 없다. 이러한 문제점들은 관제사의 Traffic Image구성 및 Situational Awareness를 방해하는 요소로 작용하며 사고의 개연성을 높이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 VTS 모니터상의 화면 재구성 방법을 통해서 관제사의 SA를 돕고, AIS-RADAR Tracking 알고리즘 보완을 통한 Target Tracking의 안정성을 확보하고, 교육 훈련을 통해서 AIS특성과 Error현상에 대한 관제사들이 충분히 이해하도록 하여 관제업무의 향상을 기하는 방안을 제시하였다.

ECG를 이용한 심박수 자동측정기기 개발에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research for Auto Measuring Machine of Heart Rate from ECG)

  • 본 연구에서는 ECG를 통하여 심박수를 R-R 간격을 이용한 방법으로 자동 추출하는 방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 육안으로 측정한 심박수를 기준으로, 2차 미분을 이용하여 심박수를 추출하는 방법, 자기상관함수를 이용하여 심박수를 추출하는 방법을 비교하여 고찰하였다. 실험 데이터는 MIT/BIH database를 이용하였다. 이를 바탕으로 직접 ECG 측정기를 제작하여 심박수를 자동 측정하여 보고 기존의 환자감시장치(ICU)와 비교하여 보았다.

  • In this study, methane gas adsorption ability of activated carbon (AC) with surface functional group effect, adsorbed methane amount was evaluated after nitric acid and ureatreatment of AC surface. Specific surface area and pore distribution of AC were studied though nitrogen adsorption isotherm at 77 K. Micro pore volume was calculated through H-K method. Adsorbed methane amount was evaluated through volume method at room temperature by using auto adsorption apparatus. Adsorbed methane amount of AC was found to increase with to specific surface area increase.Correlation proposed between the methane adsorption amount and surface nature indicates that the surface nature plays an important role on the adsorption amount at a given temperature.

  • This paper describes the AR model of EMG signal during maximum voluntary contraction. By comparing the AR coefficients and the reflection coefficients of the AR model with the median frequency of power spectrum, it if proved that muscle fatigue can be measured by the AR and the reflection coefficients. In the estimation procedure of AR model parameter, the auto-correlation method is superior to the covariance method, and it is determined that the optimal order is six. As the muscle becomes fatigue, the median frequency of power spectrum is declined, and the AR coefficient [$a_1$ ] and the reflection coefficient [$k_1$ ] are also decreased. Therefore the muscle fatigue can be measured by the AR parameter.

  • This paper presents a new signature and Fourier descriptor based algorithm for recognizing a rotated object and its rotation angle. Fourier descriptor is used to represent an object using its frequence parameters which are not influenced by rotation. once the object is recognized, the point with the largest auto-correlation coefficient which can be calculated from signature of the object is used to find angle of the object. The outstanding performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested with the test images where more than 10 2D objects arbitrarily located on a table.

Geometrical Distortion-Resilient Watermarking Based on Image Features

  • The major threat of geometric manipulations is that they change the positions of watermarks, therefore the detection process fails to extract watermark properly. Since they cause the same effects on the host image as watermarks simultaneously, evaluating the distorted host image can be helpful to measure the nature of distortions. In this paper, we propose a geometrical distortion-resilient watermarking algorithm based on this property. Firstly we evaluate the orientation of a host image by filtering it with directional Gabor kernels, then we insert embedding pattern aligned to the estimated orientation. In its detection step, we evaluate the orientation again by Gabor filtering, then simply project and average the projected value to obtain a 1-D projection average pattern. Finally, auto-correlation function of the 1-D projection average pattern identifies periodic peaks. Analysed are experimental results against geometrical attacks including aspect ratio changes.

서울 일부지역의 도로변 대기중 $SO_{2}$ 농도와 은행나무잎의 수용성 황함량과의 관계 (A Relationship Between AtmosPheric $SO_{2}$ Concentrations and Water Soluble Sulfur Contents in Gingko biloba in Seoul)

  • The atmospheric SO$_{2}$ concentrations and water soluble sulfur contents in Ginkgo biloba were measured and analyzed in auto-measuring station, Kwangleung, and Yongmun from August 5 to October 21, 1990. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Atmospheric SO$_{2}$ concentrations between the seoul area(Pulkwang, Ssangmun, Myonmok, Oilurn) in which the concentrations exceeded the air quality standards and the surburb of seoul (Kwangleung, Yongmun) revealed the significant difference (p<0.01). 2. Water soluble sulfur contents in Ginkgo biloba in autumn were higher than those in Ginkgo biloba in summer (p<0.01). Water soluble sulfur contents in leaves showed a significant difference between seoul and its surburb(p<0.01). 3. Correlation between atmospheric SO$_{2}$ concentration and water soluble sulfur content of Ginkgo biloba in autumn was as follow Y=0.2714+9.8123 X, r=0.6362 (X: Airborne SO${_2}$ Concentration according to sampling location, Y: Water Soluble Sulfur Contents)

Efficiency of Lamarckian Genetic Algorithm in Molecular Docking of Phenylaminopyrimidine (PAP) Derivatives: A Retrospect Study

  • Molecular docking using Lamarckian genetic algorithm of AutoDock 3.0 (AD3) was employed to understand in retrospect the selectivity of phenylaminopyrimidine (PAP) derivatives against the kinase domain c-Abl, implicated in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). The energetics of protein-ligand complex was scored using AD3 to identify active drug conformations while Ligplot and ligand protein contact (LPC) programs were used to probe schematic molecular recognition of the bound inhibitor to the protein. Results signify correlation between model and crystal structures of STI-571 compound or Imatinib (IM), a PAP derivative and now clinically proven for its efficacy in CML. A prospect active form Abl inhibitor scaffold from matlystatin class of compounds will be published elsewhere.

지적센서의 형태에 따른 센싱능력 평가 (Estimation of the Sensing Ability According to Smart Sensor Types)

  • In this paper, we will propose the new method that estimates the sensing ability of smart sensor. A study is estimation method that evaluates the sensing ability about smart sensor respectively. According to acceleration(g) and displacement changing, we estimated the sensing ability of smart sensor using the SAI(Sensing Ability Index) method respectively. We made the smart sensors in our experiment. The types of smart sensor are three types(H1, H1, H3 smart sensor). The smart sensors were developed for recognition of materials. Experiments and analysis were executed to estimated the sensing abili-ty of smarty sensor. Dynamic characteristics of smart sensors(acceleration changing) were evaluated respectively through a new method(SAI) that uses the power spectrum density.
