어패럴 CAD 시스템 기능적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the functional Charaterictics of Apparel CAD Systems)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the reference information for user and potential users of apparel CAD system is Korea. Two interviews were carried out for the study. The apparel CAD system of Assyst, Gerber and Yuka was selected for technical comparative study. The results were as follows: 1. The future development of the apparel CAD system is the transfer of the developed pattern design from a 3D design system and of CIM concept. 2. The share of data is working closely in a module function. So the Assyst system provide connectivity and communication between all apparel CAD system's module and other automation programs. This system is suitable for CIM production line. 3. The Gerber system is developed the Apparel CAD system which is given by the CAM system's technical ability. This system is given high insurance of ability to the service and data transportation with other systems from users in the Korea. 4. The Yuka system is developed pattern making by the Apparel CAD system. This system's different methods which is compared with other systems are the split grading and auto pattern making. So this system is suitable for users which want to product many items and a little amount garment by using the Apparel CAD system.

  • In order to minimize turnaround of machining in FMS lines, CAD/CAM/CAT integrated system called MascCAM was developed. Developing enhanced CAM and inspection modules in the MascCAM environment, 2D came, 2 $^{1}$2/ D prismatic parts and 3D free-formed surfaces were able to be automatically designed, manufactured and inspected on the machine tools by using AutoCAM and Z-map. Introducing Z-map technique, the MascCAM was able to be interfaceed with and CAD system. Developed QPPGT module generates a quick and fool-proof inspection work to users. A vertical and a horizontal machining center equipped with FANUC OMC were used for experiments. Performance of the system was confirmed by a large amount of experiments.

  • In the future, the sorting machines will be taken charge of the most part of the letter sorting operations. At present, in order to deliver the sorted letters by the next day, many labors are intensively committed in the letter sorting operations. This research analyzes the problem of the facilities layout in registry department of mail center. It presents an improved design of facilities layout in comparison with several alternatives including the current layout using AutoCAD and FactoryCAD. It presents the optimized facilities layout using the algorithm which is embedded in the FactoryOPT. By the result of this research, we expect that the productivity of sorting letter will be improved and the related total labor cost will be minimized.

  • This paper deals with some critical activities of CAPP system such as generation of part description database, part feature recognition, process and operation selection, and sequencing method for turning operation of symmetric rotational parts. The part description database is generated by data conversion module from CAD data, and the part feature is recognized by using both pattern primitives and feature recognition rules. Machining processes and operations are selected based on machining surface features and its sequence is determined by rules acquired from process planning expert. AutoCAD is employed as CAD system and computer program is developed by using Turbo-C on IBM PC/AT compatible system.

  • The BOM(Bill Of Material) contains various important information for establishing production scheduling and purchasing process. For effective and efficient constructing of the BOM, some methods, such as, conventional BOM, Modular BOM and Generic BOM are developed. Many companies input the BOM information with manual process. During this process, no one can avoid human errors, that is input error and to omit input necessary Information. We must to remove the possibility of these human errors, and to construct BOM effectively. To do this, we try to take the BOM from CAD data automatically We have developed a supporting system for extracting BOM from AutoCAD files.

  • After investigating repeatedly results obtained through gear stress analysis, we make a determination of an optimal gear shape. But its design process was not only complex but also difficult to get a precise profile curve from operating by hand. In this study, relating shape of gear profile curves was generated automatically with standard spur gear, equivalent helical gear, shifted gear & pinion by using developed program which is using Auto_LISP language in Auto-CAD. This program which can design rapidly gear shapes will successfully support gear designing and manufacturing fur Small & Medium companies.

가구 오토캐드 인터넷 강좌 운영을 통한 교육효율성 제고방안 연구 (A Study on Measures to Improve Educational Efficiency through the Operation on AutoCAD Internet Lecture for Furniture)

  • The efficiency of internet lectures has been proved in many areas, and its significance and role theory has been consistently mentioned in the fields of furniture design education that demand a large amount of educational contents and practice in visual education. However, it reveals weaknesses without satisfying the demand owing to various realistic issues. In this study, the significance and developmental process of internet lecture as well as its effect after the development in terms of the education on furniture design were analyzed by counting some development cases of internet educational program in relation with AutoCAD educational course, a computer design program for furniture design. Also through such analysis, it intended to promote the development of design education by assessing the merits and problems, assignments to be supplemented, and utilization of the educational course development.

  • 공정계획(Process planning)이란 소재로 부터 제품을 경제적, 효율적으로생산하는데 필요한 방법의 체계적 인 결정이라고 정의 할수 있다. 일반적으로 공정계획에 관한 지식은 전문가의 오랜 경험을 통해 얻어지므로 공정계획을 수행하기 위해 전문가를 양산하기에는 많은 어려움의 따른다. 그리고 전문가의 지식 및 가공방법 자체가 여러가지 경우의 수를 가지는 불명확한 것이 많으므로 이를 체계적으로 지식 베이스(knosedge base)화 하여 이것을 이용한 자동공정계획시스템의 개발이 필연적이다. 본 연구에서는 절삭가공의 핵심이 되는 밀링가공을 대상으로 하며, AutoCAD 로 부터 자동 또는 대화식으로 부품의 형상 및 치수 데이타를 인식하고, 이 데이타를 기준으로 가공의 지식 베이스와 이론을 접목시켜 개발한 규칙을 통해 공구결정과 가공 표준시간 계산을 수행 하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 사용된 언어는 형상특징인식을 위한 ADS(AutoCAD Deveolpment System)와 객체지향적 언어인 Borland C 이다.

  • In this study, Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) has been improved with the implementation of marker particles. Convectional FDS is able to implement only two curved geometries, namely, circular cylinders and spheres. The introduction of marker particles made it possible to implement arbitrarily curved objects. Moreover, an algorithm that extracts the marker particle information from a model designed by AutoCAD was developed. With the present implementation, applicability of FDS is greatly enhanced, beneficial to both academia and industry.
