The selection criteria of the Authorized Stockage List(ASL) in the Army is based on Army Regulation(AR)409, the selection method of ASL is not considered in cost, weight and volume of repair parts. This paper is focused on developing for a new selection model taking account of cost, weight and volume of repair parts. This model is applied to data of a division. The ASL selected in the model is more reduced in cost, weight and volume than that of the previous method.

Different units of cost, and volume are normalized for using weighing value. Real data of a field division are applied to the model. Results of the new selection model are more reduced in cost, weight and volume than those of the previous method.

In this study, It is assumed that customers are both usage unit of spare parts and stores of displaying and selling the goods that are installation unit of having the spare parts. The demand pattern through the effective order of spare parts and issue list in installation unit is investigated based on the assumption. Current ASL (Authorized Stockage List) selection of the army has been conducted in the way of using the analysis result of real usage experiences on spare parts used during the Korea War. For this study, ASL selection criteria and procedures based on army regulations and field manuals are specified. Since the traditional method does not presents the association analysis on spare parts used for the current equipment operating and does not have the clear criterion and analysis system about the ASL selection, in order to solve these problems, it was carried out that the association rule is employed for analyzing relationship between the effective order and issue list of the spare parts in point of the spare parts between usage unit and occurring month about purchase spare parts based on the star-schema table. Finally the new ASL selection way using the analysis result is proposed.

This paper deals with (s, S) spare part inventory model. Maintaining appropriate spare parts is one of the most important military affairs related to the readiness of military forces. In the problem under consideration, a military unit possesses n equipments and all the n equipments should be in operational readiness for the military purpose. The lifetime distribution of a part has been assumed to be exponential. This paper suggests the reorder point and order quantity under the assumption that the lifetime distribution of a part is weibull.

The national Logistics Information system has been rapidly developed on account of the dramatic improvements in the military's logistics support system and supply support system, making a transition from manual work system to computerized work system. Supply level, however, does not reflect these changes in the overall logistics environment and still retains the state it was in the 1970s. This research uses the accumulated data from the equipment maintenance information system developed in the year 2009 to analyze RWT(Requisition Wait Time) and CWT (Customer Wait Time). The analysis estimated the realistic transportation and ordering time and led to the conclusion that the differentiated ASL operation system that considers demand level should be adopted instead of the uniform ASL employment system.
