Korean Academy of Medical Sciences began developing Korean Medical Citaton Index(KoMCI) database in 2002, and has announced the impact factors of Korean medical journals published since 2000. In July 2005, Korea Research Foundation also announced the KCI impact factor of journals covering all subject areas for the 2003 and 2004. We compared the impact factor(IF), impact factor excluding self-citation(ZIF), and self-citation impact factor(SIF) of KoMCI 2004 and KCI 2004 in order to disclose why there is such a great difference in the values of impact factors between two databases. Out of 72 medical journals in both database, 59 journals were compared after excluding the missing data in KCI. Mean IF of KoMCI 2004 was 0.2 and that of KCI 2004 was 0.03(p=0.0000). Mean ZIF of KoMCI was 0.06 and that of KCI was 0.01(p=0.000). Mean SIF of KoMCI was 0.139 and that of KCI was 0.02(p=0.0000). We presumed that the major difference in the impact factor values was originated from the fact that KCI does not control the authority of journal names cited in the references. We strongly recommend that it is necessary to control the authority especially if Korea Research Foundation wants to ensure the validity and reliability of KCI data in the evaluation of korean journals.

This study was conducted with the aim of providing a foundation for high-quality national place name authority data by developing Korean-specific guidelines for place name authority data in response to the need for systematic construction and standardization of authority databases. To this end, a survey of domestic and international trends and cases related to place name authority data was conducted, and the rules and guidelines of each country for establishing place name authority data were analyzed. Based on these surveys and rule analyses, the scope of concepts and terminology required to build a place name authority database were defined and the direction for the development of place name authority data guidelines was set. The analysis also determined the scope and framework of the guidelines, and how they should be referenced to existing rules. The structure of the guidelines proposed in this study is based on the original RDA and NCR. Based on the implications derived from the analysis process, the guidelines were organized and presented in terms of scope of construction, selection and recording of preferred place names, recording of variant place names, and attributes of place names to propose a technical guideline for place name authority data that fits the Korean situation. Future discussions were revealed accordingly.
The food composition database is used to evaluate the nutritional value of foods in Korea. It is used as a source for basic data in many fields, not only for the establishment of the National Food Supply Plan but also for nutritional research, to aid in the drafting of the National Food Policy, and in clinical and epidemiological research. The database is also used by institutional and commercial food services and by the food processing industry among others. In 1970, the Rural Development Administration(RDA) published the "Korean Food Composition Table" for the first time and it has since become the established authority on food composition for the entire nation. The latest published food composition table (the 6th edition, published by the National Rural Living Science Institute, KDA) covers 2,337 kinds of foods and consists of two volumes. The National Rural Living Science Institute, the Korea Food and Drug Administration, and the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute have continuously improved production of food composition data in Korea. As consumers have grown more interested in the quality and safety of foods and raw agricultural products, we can expect even further development of food composition data through improvements in quality and increases in quantity. We need to develop more comprehensive food composition data by diversifying the kinds of foods that are included, unifying analytical methods, and increasing the number of nutrients covered. Moreover, food composition data must be modified in other ways to make for a better food composition database for the convenience of users. of users.
Existing Web authentication method utilizes the resident registration number by credit rating agencies separating i-PIN authentication method which has been improved authentication using resident registration number via the real name confirmation database. By improving the existing authentication method, and it provides the available integrated ID authentication on Web. In order to enhance safety, the proposed authentication method by encrypting the user of the verification value, and stores the unique identifier in the database of the certificate authority. Then, the password required to log in to the Web is for receiving a disposable random from the certificate authority, the user does not need to remember a separate password and receives the random number by using the smart phone. It does not save the user's personal information in the database, and it is easy to management of personal information. Only the integration ID needs to be remembered with random number on every time. It doesn't need to use various IDs and passwords if you use this proposed authentication methods.

Domestic information service authority and company provide database services to introduce the newest scientific and technological information, trend, and research data. Among many databases, FSTA((Food Science and Technology Abstracts)) is a bibliographic database providing worldwide coverage of all scientific and technological aspects of the processing and manufacturing of human food products. To service FSTA database through KRISTAL search engine developed by KISTI(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information) need many process such as data obtainment, building, search, modification, rebuilding, and statistics. In this paper, we present implementation of management tool used to build FSTA database effectively. The management tool provides graphical user interface and controls all process from data obtainment to building of KRISTAL information searching system. By building FSTA database fast and accurately, user can get information that they want to find from the newest FSTA database.

The article sets forth a problem on international exchange and cooperation In the field of library and information science in the People's Republic of China from engles of academic and publication's exchange, It points out international exchange and cooperation between China and Korea should be developed from international exchange of publications and interlibrary loan to openning up standard, authority and current database on publications step by step. China and Korea should supply the database to all of the world, In order to come up to shared resources, the author has compared the Descriptive Cataloguing Rules for Western Language Materials, and the Bibliographical Description for Monographes with the Korean Cataloguing Rules for Description, and analyzed their different. In the end, the article presents the result that the documentation standardzation is the only way of accomplishing shared resources in the world from indentity of description for publications and materials, and unity of cataloguing rules.
Due to the advance of computer and communication technology, intrusions or crimes using a computer have been increased rapidly while tremendous information has been provided to users conveniently Specially, for the security of a database which stores important information such as the private information of a customer or the secret information of a company, several basic suity methods of a database management system itself or conventional misuse detection methods have been used. However, a problem caused by abusing the authority of an internal user such as the drain of secret information is more serious than the breakdown of a system by an external intruder. Therefore, in order to maintain the sorority of a database effectively, an anomaly defection technique is necessary. This paper proposes a method that generates the normal behavior profile of a user from the database log of the user based on an association mining method. For this purpose, the Information of a database log is structured by a semantically organized pattern tree. Consequently, an online transaction of a user is compared with the profile of the user, so that any anomaly can be effectively detected.

In a multi-cloud environment, it is necessary to minimize physical movement for efficient interoperability of distributed source data without building a data warehouse or data lake. And there is a need for a data platform that can easily access data anywhere in a multi-cloud environment. In this paper, we propose a new platform based on data fabric centered on a distributed platform suitable for cloud environments that overcomes the limitations of legacy systems. This platform applies the knowledge graph database technique to the physical linkage of source data for interoperability of distributed data. And by integrating all data into one scalable platform in a multi-cloud environment, it uses the holochain technique so that companies can easily access and move data with security and authority guaranteed regardless of where the data is stored. The knowledge graph database mitigates the problem of heterogeneous conflicts of data interoperability in a decentralized environment, and Holochain accelerates the memory and security processing process on traditional blockchains. In this way, data access and sharing of more distributed data interoperability becomes flexible, and metadata matching flexibility is effectively handled.
Purpose - While microfinance institutions(MFIs) from Bangladesh, such as Grameen Bank, received worldwide recognition and the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006, however, there is a paucity of research that provided a comprehensive discussion on the characteristics of the microfinance industry. Hence, the aim of this paper is to discuss some important aspects of the microfinance sector in Bangladesh. Research design, data, and methodology - This study used secondary sources of data, such as annual reports of the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) and the World Bank database in its descriptive analysis. Results - This study found that Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in her socio-economic and economic development in the last few decades. It is also generally perceived that microfinance has placed significant contribution on such socio-economic development. While microfinance observed unprecedented growth domestically, however, the regulatory framework is still rather weak, and a majority of the MFIs are found to be concentrated in the well-off areas (e.g., Dhaka, Chittagong etc.). Conclusions - The findings are significantly important for the parties who are interested to know the microfinance sector in Bangladesh. To some extent, the findings of this study will provide policy implications that may benefit the industry.
