  • Current IEEE 802.11 standard is very vulnerable that between the AP and STA authentication and security mechanisms is widely known. Therefore, IEEE has proposed security architecture RSN (Robust Security Network) for 802.11. RSN is used the access control, authentication, and key management based on the IEEE 802.1X standard. In this paper, IEEE 802.1X or 802.11 a combination of several models proposed for the vulnerability, and session hijacking or MiM (Man-in the-Middle) attacks to respond, the authentication mechanism Was designed to the access control between the STA and the AP.

  • The big data term refers to the great volume of data and complicated data structure with difficulties in collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing these data. Big data analytics refers to the operation of disclosing hidden patterns through big data. This information and data set cloud to be useful and provide advanced services. However, analyzing and processing this information could cause revealing and disclosing some sensitive and personal information when the information is contained in applications that are correlated to users such as location-based services, but concerns are diminished if the applications are correlated to general information such as scientific results. In this work, a survey has been done over security and privacy challenges and approaches in big data. The challenges included here are in each of the following areas: privacy, access control, encryption, and authentication in big data. Likewise, the approaches presented here are privacy-preserving approaches in big data, access control approaches in big data, encryption approaches in big data, and authentication approaches in big data.

  • The development of IT technology and breakthrough of the network and the wired network, wireless network boundaries disappear and wired and wireless integrated service environment is the advent in online game environment. However, the wired and wireless integrated service environment appropriate security technology is still inactive, wired and wireless integration environment due to the characteristic as well as security threats wired network and security threats in wireless networks should be considered. Therefore, This wired and wireless integrated environment has been considering studied various, Among them wired and wireless environment considering the lightweight of ID-based authentication and key management has been in progress. In recent, Moon et al. pervasive environment in authentication and ID-based key management protocol is proposed. However, Moon et al.'s scheme is use the ID-based public-key approach to decreased the amount of computation. However, pairing by using a technique similar to the existing public key scheme can represent the amount of computation. Therefore, In this paper the way of Moon etc in security vulnerability analysis.

  • ICN architecture, one of future Internet technologies, proposes that content request packets toward a content source can be responded by several distributed nodes. So, ICN can solve network congestion which is happened around content sources and provide a seamless content distribution service regardless of the network and system statuses of content sources. Especially, CCN implements content caching functionality in network nodes so that such intermediated network nodes can themselves respond to content requests. However, when receiving content from distributed nodes, users receiving content cannot authenticate the nodes providing the content. So CCN is vulnerable to various attacks such as an impersonation attack, a data pollution attack, and so on. This paper first describes CCN content authentication and its weakness. Then it proposes an improved content authentication scheme based on a blockchain and evaluates the performance of the proposed scheme.

  • Various technologies have been developed to more efficiently share content such as P2P, CDN, and CCN. These technologies take a common approach that content request packets is responded by distributed network nodes or hosts, not by a single content distributor. Such approaches not only resolve network congestion around content distributors, but also make it possible to distribute content regardless of the system and network status of content distributors. However, when receiving content from distributed nodes/hosts, not from authenticated distributors, users cannot practically identify which node/host sent content to them. Due to this characteristic, various hacking caused by the malicious modification of content is possible. Therefore, to make such approaches more secure, a content authentication technique is required. In this paper, we propose a improved operation of MHT used in CCN for authenticating distributed content. Then we evaluate the proposed method by comparing its performance with the existing technology.

  • The authentication in WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) usually means the entity authentication, but owing to the data centric nature of sensor network, much more importance must be put on the authentication(or attestation) for code of sensor nodes. The naive approach to the attestation is for the verifier to compare the previously known memory contents of the target node with the actual memory contents in the target node, but it has a significant drawback. In this paper, we show what the drawback is and propose a countermeasure. This scheme can verify the whole memory space of the target node and provides extremely low probability of malicious code's concealment without depending on accurate timing information unlike SWATT. We provide two modes of this verification method: BS-to-node and node-to-node. The performance estimation in various environments is shown.

  • According to augmentation about interesting and demanding of privacy over the rest few years, researches that provide anonymity have been conducted in a number of applications. The ad hoc routing with providing anonymity protects privacy of nodes and also restricts collecting network information to malicious one. Until recently, quite a number of anonymous routing protocols have been proposed, many of them, however, do not make allowance for authentication. Thus, they should be able to have vulnerabilities which are not only modifying packet data illegally but also DoS(denial of service) attack. In this paper, we propose routing protocol with providing both anonymity and authentication in the mobile ad hoc network such as MANET, VANET, and more. This scheme supports all of the anonymity properties which should be provided in Ad Hoc network. In addition, based on the group signature, authentication is also provided for nodes and packets during route discovery phase. Finally, route discovery includes key-agreement between source and destination in order to transfer data securely.

  • VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a type of MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) which is the next-generation networking technology to provide communication between vehicles or between vehicle and RSU (Road Side Unit) using wireless communication. In VANET system, a vehicle accident is likely to cause awful disaster. Therefore, in VANET environment, authentication techniques for the privacy protection and message are needed. In order to provide them privacy, authentication, and conditional, non-repudiation features of the group signature scheme using a variety of security technologies are being studied. In this paper, and withdrawal of group members to avoid frequent VANET environment is suitable for vehicles produced by the group administrator for a private signing key to solve the key escrow problem of a group signature scheme is proposed. We proposed a message batch verification scheme using Bloom Filter that can verify multiple messages efficiently even for multiple communications with many vehicles.

  • Lora, a non-band network technology of the long-distance wireless standard LPWAN standard, uses ABP and OTTA methods and AES-128-based encryption algorithm (shared key) for internal terminal authentication and integrity verification. Lora's recent firmware tampering vulnerability and shared-key encryption algorithm structure make it difficult to defend against MITM attacks. In this study, the consensus algorithm(PBFT) is applied to the Lora network to enhance safety. It performs authentication and PBFT block chain creation by searching for node groups using the GPS module. As a result of the performance analysis, we established a new Lora trust network and proved that the latency of the consensus algorithm was improved. This study is a 4th industry convergence study and is intended to help improve the security technology of Lora devices in the future.

  • This paper proposes a new security system to detect cyber-attacks based on message authentication in a in-vehicle network. In the in-vehicle network, when a sending node transmits messages in a broadcast manner, it only uses a message identifier, rather than a node's identifier. It leads to a problem not identifying the source. In the proposed system, the sending node generates a message authentication code (MAC) using a cryptographic hash function to the control data and transmits it with the control data. When generating the MAC for each message, a multidimensional chaotic map is applied to increase the randomness of the result. The receiving node compares its MAC generated from the control data in the received message with the MAC of the received message to detect whether the message transmitted from the sending node is forged or not. We evaluate the performance of the proposed system by using CANoe and CAPL (Communication Access Programming Language). Our system shows a 100% of detection rate against cyber-attacks injected.
