Effect of the Affordance Characteristics of VR Game UI on the User Experience (VR 게임 UI의 어포던스 특성이 사용자 경험에 미치는 영향)

  • Advances in IT technologies are developing VR content technologies that provide five senses information to users and interact with them. These VR content technologies are widely used by users not only for time and space limitations but also for providing immersion experiences. VR contents are contents that allow users to experience images that are played on the screen through five senses such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and holograms as well as visuals. VR games are also becoming more diverse in interfaces for the interaction of users with VR games. This study recognized the importance of the interface and analyzed the impact of the application characteristics of VR game UI on user experience and satisfaction from the user perspective. Research shows that VR game UI interacts with user experience and satisfaction. This appears to affect user experience based on how well people using VR game UI can understand and utilize the characteristics and functions of UI.

  • As computer graphics, virtual reality and augmented reality technologies have been developed, in many application areas based on those techniques, interaction for 3D space is required such as selection and manipulation of an 3D object. In this paper, we propose a framework for a vision-based 3D interaction which enables to simulate functions of an expensive 3D mouse for a desktop environment. The proposed framework includes a specially manufactured interaction device using three-color LEDs. By recognizing position and color of the LED from video sequences, various events of the mouse and 6 DOF interactions are supported. Since the proposed device is more intuitive and easier than an existing 3D mouse which is expensive and requires skilled manipulation, it can be used without additional learning or training. In this paper, we explain methods for making a pointing device using three-color LEDs which is one of the components of the proposed framework, calculating 3D position and orientation of the pointer and analyzing color of the LED from video sequences. We verify accuracy and usefulness of the proposed device by showing a measurement result of an error of the 3D position and orientation.

  • We proposed a marketing plan for the performing arts venue using realistic contents(VR, AR, and MR). The venue is a place where the audience can experience the performance directly. The marketing plan of the performance venue is as follows. Firstly, it is a marketing strategy that utilizes an arrangement of venue seats. It is possible to predict for watching a performance at angle and sight in performance venue seats that audience want through VR. This allows the theatre seats to be experienced in advance with the VR contents inducing the reservation of the seats with a high sense of immersion. Secondly, it is a marketing using PR and AD of performing arts through MR in the space with a large transient population. It is possible to promote dynamic promotion utilizing the sense of the presence of performing arts compared with existing static promotion means. Thirdly, it is a marketing strategy that utilizes actor characters in performance. The audience could be interested in the performing arts in advance via a preview of the AR contents of the pamphlet. Fourthly, it is a way to communicate with customers directly by establishing a VR social network to manage venue members. This will help attract an audience to revitalize the theatre venue.

An Approach to Realistic Contents of T-ball for VR Sports Room Classes (가상현실 스포츠실 수업을 위한 티볼 실감 콘텐츠 접근)

  • This research presented development contents for application of realistic content approach study that can experience T-ball sports used in regular physical education classes at indoor space with screen. The scope of application can be used for ball sports training in virtual reality sports room of elementary and junior high schools. The approach process presents an appropriate approach system for sustainable training education which is to improve T-ball sports training to target users through consultation-based collaboration with sports experts and T-ball leaders, focusing on basic training content of T-ball textbooks. In other words, the training mode was designed to induce immersion in T-ball sports classes and provide natural basic training for students at elementary schools rather than simply experience-based realistic content. The developed training content provided basic attack training according to weekly differentiated curriculum, and the approach process of training mode by difficulty level was presented to allow the user to improve the training by the degree of difficulty. In addition, the match mode approach process that reflects the game rules of T-ball sports was presented. This study can be presented as a reference production case that can be used to improve basic training and physical exercise of ball sports for industries related to development of realistic content.

Analysis of the Perception of Radiological Technology University Students about the Latest Technology in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4차 산업혁명시대 최신 기술에 대한 방사선과 대학생의 인식도)

  • Transcendence of space and time, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. are being realized through the latest technologies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. In a situation where they are currently experiencing artificial intelligence, augmented reality, big data, etc., the degree of interest in the latest technologies of the 4th industrial revolution for radiology students, the necessary competencies in the 4th industrial revolution era, and the prospect of the radiation field employment environment in the 4th industrial revolution era The purpose of this study was to find out the level of awareness of From February 7th to February 18th, 2022, surveys on awareness were analyzed using questionnaires for 2nd and 3rd year students in the Department of Radiology at S University in Daegu. As a result of the study, the level of interest in 3D modeling was shown to be the highest with an average of 3.34 ± 1.09 points, and interest in big data and artificial intelligence was also shown with an average of 3.27 ± 1.17 and 3.33 ± 1.07 points. In addition, the correlation between the awareness of the necessary competencies in the 4th industrial revolution era and the awareness of the prospects for employment in the radiation field in the 4th industrial revolution era was the highest (r=0.778, p<0.01), and the interest in the latest technologies in the 4th industrial revolution and the 4th industrial revolution It was found that there was also a correlation between the perceptions of the necessary capabilities of the times (r=0.694, p<0.01). In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, it is judged that it is necessary to strengthen professional education that can handle the latest technologies such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and big data, and to strengthen employment capabilities related to the latest technologies in the field of radiation medical technology.

Exploring the 4th Industrial Revolution Technology from the Landscape Industry Perspective (조경산업 관점에서 4차 산업혁명 기술의 탐색)

  • This study was carried out to explore the 4th Industrial Revolution technology from the perspective of the landscape industry to provide the basic data necessary to increase the virtuous circle value. The 4th Industrial Revolution, the characteristics of the landscape industry and urban regeneration were considered and the methodology was established and studied including the technical classification system suitable for systematic research, which was selected as a framework. First, the 4th Industrial Revolution technology based on digital data was selected, which could be utilized to increase the value of the virtuous circle for the landscape industry. From 'Element Technology Level', and 'Core Technology' such as the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Robot, 'Peripheral Technology', Virtual or Augmented Reality, Drones, 3D 4D Printing, and 3D Scanning were highlighted as the 4th Industrial Revolution technology. It has been shown that it is possible to increase the value of the virtuous circle when applied at the 'Trend Level', in particular to the landscape industry. The 'System Level' was analyzed as a general-purpose technology, and based on the platform, the level of element technology(computers, and smart devices) was systematically interconnected, and illuminated with the 4th Industrial Revolution technology based on digital data. The application of the 'Trend Level' specific to the landscape industry has been shown to be an effective technology for increasing the virtuous circle values. It is possible to realize all synergistic effects and implementation of the proposed method at the trend level applying the element technology level. Smart gardens, smart parks, etc. have been analyzed to the level they should pursue. It was judged that Smart City, Smart Home, Smart Farm, and Precision Agriculture, Smart Tourism, and Smart Health Care could be highly linked through the collaboration among technologies in adjacent areas at the Trend Level. Additionally, various utilization measures of related technology applied at the Trend Level were highlighted in the process of urban regeneration, public service space creation, maintenance, and public service. In other words, with the realization of ubiquitous computing, Hyper-Connectivity, Hyper-Reality, Hyper-Intelligence, and Hyper-Convergence were proposed, reflecting the basic characteristics of digital technology in the landscape industry can be achieved. It was analyzed that the landscaping industry was effectively accommodating and coordinating with the needs of new characters, education and consulting, as well as existing tasks, even when participating in urban regeneration projects. In particular, it has been shown that the overall landscapig area is effective in increasing the virtuous circle value when it systems the related technology at the trend level by linking maintenance with strategic bridgehead. This is because the industrial structure is effective in distributing data and information produced from various channels. Subsequent research, such as demonstrating the fusion of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology based on the use of digital data in creation, maintenance, and service of actual landscape space is necessary.
