셀피의 의미연결망 분석과 AR 카메라 앱 사용이 외모만족도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of selfie semantic network analysis and AR camera app use on appearance satisfaction and self-esteem)

  • Image-oriented information is becoming increasingly important on social networking services (SNS); the background of this trend is the popularity of selfies. Currently, camera applications using augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are gaining traction. An AR camera app is a smartphone application that converts selfies into various interesting forms using filters. In this study, we investigated the change of keywords according to the time flow of selfies in Goolgle News articles through semantic network analysis. Additionally, we examined the effects of using an AR camera app on appearance satisfaction and self-esteem when taking a selfie. Semantic network analysis revealed that in 2013, postings of specific people were the most prominent selfie-related keywords. In 2019, keywords appeared regarding the launch of a new smartphone with a rear-facing camera for selfies; in 2020, keywords related to communication through selfies appeared. As a result of examining the effect of the degree of use of the AR camera app on appearance satisfaction, it was found that the higher the degree of use, the higher the user's interest in appearance. As a result of examining the effect of the degree of use of the AR camera app on self-esteem, it was found that the higher the degree of use, the higher the user's negative self-esteem.

  • Recently, research on digital twins to generate digital information and manage construction in real-time using advanced technology is being conducted actively. However, in the construction industry, it is difficult to optimize and apply digital technology in real-time due to the nature of the construction industry in which information is constantly fluctuating. In addition, inaccurate information on the topography of construction projects is a major challenge for earthmoving processes. In order to ultimately improve the cost-effectiveness of construction projects, both construction quality and productivity should be addressed through efficient construction information management in large-scale earthworks projects. Therefore, in this study, a 3D digital map-based AR site management work support system for higher efficiency and accuracy of site management was proposed by using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in wide earthworks construction sites to generate point cloud data, building a 3D digital map through acquisition and analysis of on-site sensor-based information, and performing the visualization with AR at the site By utilizing the 3D digital map-based AR site management work support system proposed in this study, information is able to be provided quickly to field managers to enable an intuitive understanding of field conditions and immediate work processing, thereby reducing field management sluggishness and limitations of traditional information exchange systems. It is expected to contribute to the improvement of productivity by overcoming factors that decrease productivity in the construction industry and the improvement of work efficiency at construction sites.

Indoor Semantic Data Dection and Indoor Spatial Data Update through Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality Technology

  • Indoor POI data, an essential component of indoor spatial data, has attribute information of a specific place in the room and is the most critical information necessary for the user. Currently, indoor POI data is manually updated by direct investigation, which is expensive and time-consuming. Recently, research on updating POI using the attribute information of indoor photographs has been advanced to overcome these problems. However, the range of use, such as using only photographs with text information, is limited. Therefore, in this study, and to improvement this, I proposed a new method to update indoor POI data using a smartphone camera. In the proposed method, the POI name is obtained by classifying the indoor scene's photograph into artificial intelligence technology CNN and matching the location criteria to indoor spatial data through AR technology. As a result of creating and experimenting with a prototype application to evaluate the proposed method, it was possible to update POI data that reflects the real world with high accuracy. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as a complement or substitute for the existing methodologies that have been advanced mainly by direct research.

A Study on the Cognitive Potential of Pre-school Children with AR Collaborative TUI

  • The most important factor in pre-school children's psychological perception is ease of learning, and the closest measure is "natural" interaction. This study aims to explore the potential of tangible user interfaces (TUI) for AR collaboration for children's cognitive development. The conceptual model is constructed by analyzing physical interaction, spatial perception and social collaboration on the usability of TUI, to explore the role of TUI in pre-school children's cognition. In the empirical study, children aged 3-6 were taken as research objects. The experimental tool is "Plugo" education application. Parents answered questionnaires after observing their children's use. Research shows that physical interaction are the most critical factor in TUI. TUI is beneficial to the cultivation of spatial ability. The results are as follows: 1. Cronbach's Alpha and KMO were 0.921 and 0.965, which were significant and passed the reliability and validity test. 2. Through confirmatory factor analysis (model fit index, combinatorial validity), we found that physical interaction were closely related to usability. 3. The path analysis of the relationship proves that usability has a significant impact on the cultivation of pre-school children's spatial ability.

AR콘텐츠를 활용한 기후위기그림책 패키지의 개발 사례 (A Case Study of the Development of Climate Crisis Picture Book Package Using AR Contents )

  • Climate crisis is one of the most urgent and serious threats to the right to life. As AR picture books are particularly effective for safety education, this study aimed to produce an AR picture book featuring animals that are endangered due to the climate crisis. In order to increase the educational effect and enhance the climate sensitivity, this study developed a children's activity workbook (with follow-up activities) and a teacher's guide (with lesson plans) as a package. To this end, market research and surveys were first conducted. Next, through the management and support of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, this research team produced a climate crisis themed AR picture book package through expert advice, help from outsourcing companies, and field application. The package was promoted through publicity in various forms of media. The contents of the AR-using picture book package of this case study were introduced and then advantages and disadvantages were discussed.

구강건강 관련 스마트폰 애플리케이션 분석 (Analysis of oral health-related smartphone applications)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the current status of oral health applications developed for smartphones because they can be used as a new educational medium to manage and improve oral health. Methods: This study examined 60 basic oral health applications provided by Google Play Store and Apple App Store as of May 2019 and examined delivery contents, delivery methods, application types, and other information. Results: Apple included 65.4% of oral apps in the game category whereas Android included 64.3% in the education category (p>0.05). All Apple's apps and 71.4% of Android apps were developed overseas (p<0.01). The delivery contents were 61.5% for Brushing + tooth decay in Apple, and 78.6% for others (oral care products and gum diseases) in Android (p>0.05). For the delivery method, game + video was 65.4% in Apple, and game and other methods (text, image, augmented reality) was 42.9% in Android (p>0.05). In the case of application type, play type was the most common with 88.5% in Apple, and 46.4% play type and 39.3% other type (text, appreciation, problem-solving types) in Android (p<0.01). In addition, play type was high in both education (53.8%) and game (90.0%) categories (p>0.05). The average review score was 4.30 in the education category, 4.34 in the case of brushing and care (delivery contents), 4.37 in the case of using game + video (delivery methods), and 4.57 in the case of Play + other types (application type) (p>0.05). Conclusions: The use of healthcare apps is expected to increase owing to improved lifestyles, an increase in the elderly population, cost-effectiveness, and convenience that is not affected by time and place. Effective use of oral health apps will require the participation of dental professionals in the development process to identify the exact status, expand subjects, and provide appropriate information.

  • 본 연구는 이케아(IKEA)의 IKEA Place와 아마존(Amazon)의 Amazon AR View를 중심으로 AR 쇼핑 애플리케이션에 관하여 분석하고 고찰하여 어떤 차이가 있는지를 연구하였다. 먼저 문헌 연구를 통하여 AR 시장의 전망 및 현황 등을 고찰하였고 AR 쇼핑 애플리케이션에 관한 사례조사를 하였다. 2차로 AR 쇼핑몰 애플리케이션의 주요 기능을 위주로 피터 모빌(Peter Morville)의 허니콤 모형(Honeycomb Model)을 6가지 요소로 재구성하여 태스크를 기반으로 설문조사와 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그 결과 사용자들은 AR 쇼핑 애플리케이션을 사용할 때 기능을 사용하면서 거치는 행위들이 간소하고, 자신이 원하는 제품을 검색하기 수월한 애플리케이션을 선호한다는 것을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 AR 기반 쇼핑 애플리케이션 사용자 경험 증대에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

외국인 유학생의 대학생활 안내를 쉽게 돕는 AR 게이미피케이션 제작 사례 (A Case Study on AR Gamification to Help Easy and Funny College Life for Foreign Students)

  • 국제화에 따라 외국인 유학생 수가 갈수록 많아지고 있지만, 유학생은 학교 방문 초기에 캠퍼스 환경이 낯선 경우가 많다. 본 연구 목적은 외국인 유학생들이 입학한 후에 캠퍼스가 낯설고 학습생활이 불편한 점들을 개선하고자 게임화 기법을 적용한 AR 캠퍼스 안내 App를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작한 앱은 장소별 학습 목표, 임무(Mission), 및 보상(Reward)를 반영하여 디자인하였다. 공주대학교 재학 유학생에 대한 '캠퍼스 건물 위치정보 인지도 조사'에 따라 6개 표시를 POI(Point of Interest)로 선정하여 사용자가 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 적합한 임무 및 문제점을 설계하였다. 사용자는 학교의 중요한 장소를 재미있게 알 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 관련 기기의 사용법도 쉽게 이해 할 수 있게 한다.

u-GIS 국토정보 제공 시스템 (u-GIS National Land Information Providing System)

  • u-GIS 국토정보 제공 기술은 차세대 웹 기반의 국토정보 플랫폼 기술을 통해서 u-GIS 데이터의 활용을 극대화하고 유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자에게 맞춤형 국토정보를 제공하기 위한 기술이다. 최근 플랫폼으로서의 웹을 강조하는 'Web 2.0' 환경이 대두됨에 따라서 공간정보 영역에서는 Where 2.0이라는 패러다임이 확산되고 있으며, 그 중심에서 Geo-spatial Web 기술이 발전하고 있다. 또한 사용자 참여 기반의 개방형 플랫폼으로 변화되고 있으며, 지리공간정보의 수요자도 공공기관에서 일반 개인 중심으로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 기술적 변화 속에서 기존의 GIS 기술분야는 기술적으로 새로운 도전에 직면해 있으며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 기술적 수요와 패러다임에 대한 기술적 동향을 분석하고, 이를 극복하기 위한 핵심적 요소기술로 u-GIS 국토정보 플랫폼 기술, u-GIS 국토정보 시각화 기술, u-GIS 국토정보 GeoDRM(Geo-spatial Digital Right Management) 및 통합 기술, u-GIS 국토정보 모바일 응용 기술을 제시한다.

ARCS 동기 이론을 적용한 학습용 모바일 앱 설계 연구 (The Use of the ARCS Motivation Model in Mobile Learning Apps Design)

  • 증강현실까지도 구현할 수 있는 기능을 가진 스마트폰의 보급률이 높아지면서 그 활용 범위도 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 다양한 기능이 있음에도 학습용 앱은 부족한 상황이다. 모바일의 장점인 이동성은 학습자가 시공간의 제한 없이 학습할 수 있지만 학습자가 학습하는데 적합하지 않은 장소도 제공될 수 있다는 의미이다. 이러한 관점에서 학습 동기를 유발시키고 지속시킬 모바일 기반 학습용 앱이 필요한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 ARCS 이론의 동기 전략과 웹 기반 콘텐츠의 UI를 분석하여 모바일 학습용 앱 설계 시 고려할 사항을 제안하였다. 또한, ARCS 이론을 적용한 모바일 학습용 앱 설계의 절차적 모형을 구안하고 이를 바탕으로 모바일 학습용 앱 설계 방안을 제안하였다.
