  • We present a formation technique of thin film heater for heat transfer components. Thin film structures of Cr-Si have been prepared on top of alumina substrates by magnetron sputtering. More samples of Mo thin films were prepared on silicon oxide and silicon nitride substrates by electron beam evaporation technology. The electrical properties of the thin film structures were measured up to the temperature of $500^{\circ}C$. The thickness of the thin films was ranged to about 1 um, and a post annealing up to $900^{\circ}C$ was carried out to achieve more reliable film structures. In measurements of temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), chrome-rich films show the metallic properties; whereas silicon-rich films do the semiconductor properties. Optimal composition between Cr and Si was obtained as 1 : 2, and there is 20% change or less of surface resistance from room temperature to $500^{\circ}C$. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) were used for the material analysis of the thin films.

  • Electromagnetic shielding, transparent ITO coating layers have deposited on ocular lens substrate by magnetron sputtering. We investigated the effect induced by the substrate temperature on coating layer. The characteristics of the coating layers were analyzed using surface profiler, four-point probe, XRD, spectrophotometer and Auger Electron spectroscopy. As substrate temperature became higher, carrier concentration was increased and transmittance in the visible region was increased, too.

  • The SIP method developed by low noise-vibration from Japan is appropriate to the construction at urban area. However, this method has been misused as a pre-driiled driven pile method in Korea. Hence, Korea Expressway Corporation proposed 'Design & Construction Guideline for the SIP Method' following the original concept of the SIP method at 2004 and 2006. Also construction guideline of another auger-drilled piles were introduced.

  • Recently, as device techniques are advancing and its size become smaller, the hot carriers transport analysis has more important. Impact ionization(I.I.) effect is electron-hole pair generation process by the dispersion of hot carrier in the contrast with Auger process. Complete I.I. model is essential to simulate and analysis the device transport characteristics. In the study, we will try to analysis I.I. models using Monte Carlo simulator, TCAD and Micro-Tec and present more accurate I.I. model.

  • The application of BZO (Boron-doped Zinc Oxide) films use as the TCO(Transparent Conductive Oxide) material for display and solar cell industries, where the conductivity of the BZO films plays a critical role for improvement of cell performance. Thin BZO films are deposited on glass substrates by using RF sputter system. Then charging flow rates of O2 gas from zero to 10 sccm, thereby controlling the impurity concentration of BZO. BZO deposited on soda lime glass and RF power was 300 W, frequency was 13.56 MHz, and working pressure was $5.0{\times}10-6$ Torr. The Substrate and glass between distance 200 mm. We measured resistivity, conductivity, mobility by hall measurement system. Optical properties measured by photo voltaic device analysis system. We measured surface build according to oxygen flow rate from XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) system. The profile of the energy distribution of the electrons emitted from BZO films by the Auger neutralization is measured and rescaled so that Auger self-convolution arises, revealing the detail structure of the valence band. It may be observed coefficient ${\gamma}$ of the secondary electron emission from BZO by using ${\gamma}$-FIB (Gamma-Focused Ion Beam) system. We observed the change in electrical conductivity by correlation of the valence band structure. Therefore one of the key issues in BZO films may be the valence band that detail structure dominates performance of solar cell devices. Demonstrating the secondary electron emission by the Auger neutralization of ions is useful for the determination of the characteristics of BZO films for solar cell and display developments.

  • The rotation of uniaxial anisotropy field of 700 ${\AA}$ thick sputtered NiFe thin film due to magnetic annealing was investigated. NiFe film was annealed in a magnetic field which is perpendicular to the initial induced uniaxial anisotropy field. The NiFe film becomes nearly isotropic after 1 hour annealing at 160 $^{\circ}C$. With increase of annealing temperature over 160 $^{\circ}C$, the film gets uniaxial anisotropy field again. An abrupt increase of H$\sub$c/ was observed with annealing temperature over 400 $^{\circ}C$. The X-ray diffraction analysis and Auger electron spectroscopy with Ar ion etching showed extensive grain growth in NiFe film with (111) texturing and interdiffusion with adjacent Au electrode layer by 400 $^{\circ}C$ magnetic annealing.

  • Construction work noise has caused much annoyance for a number of dwellers nearby construction field and has become a very serious issue in our living environment. Therefore, practical solutions for reducing construction work noise are highly required in construction field. Practical solutions for the construction work noise, however, are very difficult because of the poorness of basic data and research. Especially, in order to establish a sound insulation plan about pilings work noise that has highly sound pressure level and impactive, it is necessary to investigate the characteristics of construction noise such as pilings work noise, mechanical operating noise, etc. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to get the basic data about construction noise by SDA(Separated Doughnut Auger) method. And in this study, we attempt to survey the characteristics of attenuation and propagation of construction equipment noise and to estimate the power level in pilings work, using SDA method.

  • In the past decades, complain about ground vibration and noise induced by pile driving has been quickly increased. Because of that, auger drilled piling methods have frequently used specially in urban area. However, the present auger drilled piling methods induce inevitable ground disturbance as well as a certain degree of vibration and noise due to the final hammering. For these reasons, a new auger drilled piling method is required to be developed. This paper introduces PDT(Pulse Discharge Technology) piling method and presents the characteristics of bearing capacity. The PDT piling method is to install in-situ piles using electric power so called Pulse. The pile installed by PDT appears to be able to develop shaft and end bearing capacity efficiently. This paper introduces PDT(Pulse Discharge Technology) piling method, which is the 512nd new construction technology. The PDT piling method is to install in-situ piles using electrical power so called Pulse power. The pulse power is physical value that indicates the energy change per unit time(dE/dt). Since the pulse power is to push ground, using the pulse power is enable a hole to be expanded as well as the ground to be improved by compaction. Therefore, The pile installed by PDT appears to be able to develop shaft and end bearing capacity efficiently. In this study, couples of pile loading tests were carried out to figure out whether or not the PDT piling method is applicable to constructions like rail road facility. As a result, it was concluded that the PDT piling technique meet the requirements for such a rail road related construction.
