  • The major purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the presentation undo combined by main four media(moving Image, audio, turf image) of web contents on the children's information processing process. So children were assigned to one of five experimental medium conditions: 'moving Image1 (auditory-visual redundancy)', 'moving Image2 (auditory-visual dissonance)', 'text', 'text-with-image', 'audio'. Results indicated that the moving image was found to be the most effective transmitter of internet news information for children's recall. And the recall advantage of moving image was found to be particularly pronounced for verbal information supplemented with redundant visual.

  • Recently, user-created video shows high increasing in production and consumption. Among these, videos records an identical subject in limited space with multi-view are coming out. Occurring main reason of this kind of video is popularization of portable camera and mobile web environment. Multi-view has studied in visually representation technique fields for point of view. Definition of multi-view has been expanded and applied to various contents authoring lately. To make user-created videos into multi-view contents can be a kind of suggestion as a user experience for new form of video consumption. In this paper, we show the possibility to make user-created videos into multi-view video content through analyzing multi-view video contents even there exist attribute differentiations. To understanding definition and attribution of multi-view classified and analyzed existing multi-view contents. To solve time axis arranging problem occurred in multi-view processing proposed audio matching method. Audio matching method organize feature extracting and comparing. To extract features is proposed MFCC that is most universally used. Comparing is proposed n by n. We proposed multi-view video contents that can consume arranged user-created video by user selection.

  • As the ability and technology develops for mobile devices, it now is possible to play audio files that are downloaded from the internet on the mobile devices. The audio and video files that are provided through the internet became 'podcast,' which has an auto-update service system. The major broadcasts and universities in Europe and America are using podcasts as one of their major service. Therefore large amount of Knowledge and Lecture podcasts are actively being provided. In this paper, we will analyze the Knowledge and Lecture podcasts, and suggest improving solutions.

  • The Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(DMB) system is developed to offer high quality audio-visual multimedia contents to the mobile environment. The system adopts MPEG-4 standard for the main video, audio and other media format. It also adopts the MPEG-4 scene description for interactive multimedia contents. The animated and interactive contents can be actualized by BIFS(Binary Format for Scene), the binary format for scene description that refers to the spatio-temporal specifications and behaviors of the individual objects. As more interactive contents are, the scene description is also needed more high bitrate. However, the bandwidth for allocating meta data such as scene description is restrictive in mobile environment. On one hand, the DMB terminal starts demultiplexing content and decodes individual media by its own decoder. After decoding each media, rendering module presents each media stream according to the scene description. Thus the BIFS stream corresponding to the scene description should be decoded and parsed in advance of presenting media data. With these reason, the transmission delay of BIFS stream causes the delay of whole audio-visual scene presentation although the audio or video streams are encoded in very low bitrate. This paper presents the effective optimization technique for adapting BIFS stream into expected MPEG-2 TS bitrate without any bandwidth waste and avoiding the transmission delay of the initial scene description for interactive DMB contents.

  • IPTV service is one of the representatives for the integration of broadcasting industry and communication industry, which also can meet users' various demands and provide efficient service. As the increasing number of IPTV users and contents servers, it is necessary to provide the safety authority system to prevent the illegal audio-visual, incorrect audio-visual authority, and illegal authority control. This thesis puts forward PKI(public Key Infrastructure) as the foundation key production mechanism. Through this mechanism, the key can be transferred safely to users and authenticate the ID of users and contents servers. In a word, our system can provide safe and efficient service for mutual authentication.

  • Recently, explosive popularity of multimedia information has triggered the need for retrieving multimedia contents efficiently from the database including audio, video and images. In this paper, we propose an XML-based retrieval scheme and a data model that complement the weak aspects of annotation and conent based retrieval methods. The Property and hierarchy structure of image and video data are represented and manipulated based on the Multimedia Description Schema (MDS) that conforms to the MPEG-7 standard. For audio contents, pitch contours extracted from their acoustic features are converted into UDR string. Especially, to improve the retrieval performance, user's access pattern and frequency are utilized in the construction of an index. We have implemented a prototype system and evaluated its performance through various experiments.

  • In this paper, we propose a new pornographic content detection scheme using bi-directional relationships between neighboring auditory signals in order to accurately detect sound-centered obscene contents that are rapidly spreading via the Internet. To capture the bi-directional relationships between neighboring signals, we design a multilayered bi-directional dilated-causal convolution network by stacking several dilated-causal convolution blocks each of which performs bi-directional dilated-causal convolution operations. To verify the performance of the proposed scheme, we compare its accuracy to those of the previous two schemes each of which uses simple auditory feature vectors with a support vector machine and uses only the forward relationships in audio signals by a previous stack of dilated-causal convolution layers. As the results, the proposed scheme produces an accuracy of up to 84.38% that is superior performance up to 25.80% than other two comparison schemes.

  • In the age of personal media such as YouTube and Twitch, individual media content creation and consumption have become simpler. A huge amount of media content is created and consumed through platform services. In this regard, interest in copyright of media contents is increasing. In particular, the sound source is an indispensable element in almost all media contents production. In this paper, we propose a method to store the sound source and its signature using blockchain and distributed storage system to verify the copyright of music contents. We Identify the possibility of including the audio signature extraction result of the sound source as blockchain transaction data. Through experiments, we compare the input and output speed when the sound source and its signature are stored in the distributed storage system.

  • Technology for compressing low-bitrate multichannel audio coding should be developed owing to the increasing need of consumer for multichannel audio contents and services. To meet this requirement, MPEG has standardized MPEG Surround. In this paper, we introduce status on MPEG Surround standardization and analyze techniques adopted in the current MPEG Surround.
