This study aimed to explore whether and how smartphone-based multiscreening affects a consumer's attitude toward mobile video advertising. For the latter purpose, this study proposed and empirically tested whether perceptions of advertising informativeness and advertising intrusiveness mediate the impact of smartphone-based multiscreening on attitude toward mobile video advertising. The results of an online survey (n=155) indicated that smartphone-based multiscreening was significantly and positively related to consumer attitude toward mobile video advertising and that the effects of multiscreening were partially transmitted via perceived advertising informativeness. Unexpectedly, however, the mediating role of perceived advertising intrusiveness was not supported in this study.
Femvertising is an advertising campaign for women's rights, and has recently been used as a marketing strategy for various brands along with feminism, an important social discussion. This study analyzed the effect of consumer's factors such as gender, age, and attitude to feminism on advertising attitudes. As a result, the factor of 'gender' showed statistically significant differences about attitudes toward femvertising. but 'gender' factor was not. And 'attitudes to feminism' factors have proven to have a significant influence on attitudes toward femvertising. This study will serve as a platform for femvertising to be discussed as an important social agenda, not just a marketing tool.

This study aimed to examine the effect of ad attributes on engagement, the mediating effect of engagement on the relationship between ad attributes and advertising effectiveness (attitudes toward ads, continuous intention to search, and e-WOM intention), and the differences in advertising effectiveness at different levels (low vs. high) of curiosity toward fashion video ads in the online context. For this purpose, a total of 408 responses were collected from consumers who were aged 20-40 years and had viewed fashion video ads via PC/mobile channels in the preceding six months. The results showed that three advertising attributes, namely informativeness, entertainment, and personalization, were significant predictors of engagement. Additionally, engagement had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between entertainment and ad effectiveness. Moreover, both informativeness and entertainment had a significant direct effect on the behavioral intention to search and engage in e-WOM. At the high-curiosity level, engagement had a significant influence on ad attitudes and e-WOM intention. In contrast, at the low-curiosity level, entertainment had a significant influence on e-WOM intention and continuous intention to search. These findings are meaningful in that they extend the advertising attitude model to fashion video ads in the online context.
The present study is to analyze the dimensions of affective responses according to the types of appeal in underwear advertisements and to find out the influences of affective res-ponses on the attitudes toward advertisement and brands. The research has been made by normative-descriptive survey method with the sample of 654 consumers residing in Seoul and Incheon. The data gaathered was analyzed by the methods of means, standard deviation, ANOVA, factor analysis and regression. The result are as follows : 1. There are 4 dimensions of affective responses ; Emotional dimension, Negative dimen-sion, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual activation dimension. 2. Affective responses to the advertising were different according to the characteristics of the consumers. According to the consumer's sex, there are significant differences in each dimension of their affective responses. To the sex appeal advertisement, man show higher degree of affective responses in Emotional, Upbeat-activation and Sexual-activation dim-ensions, while women show higher degree of affective responses in Negative dimension. 3. In case of female consumers, there are significant differences in affective responses to the both appeal type of advertisements according to consumer's age. As the age is increasing. Emotional dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing, but Negative dimension is decreasing in the Ads with sex appeal. In particular, the 19∼24s age group shows strong responses in the Emotional dimension, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension to Ads with sex appeal, while it shows the lowest affective responses in Negative dimension. It represents the 19-24s age group is the most positive one to the under-wear advertisements with sex appeal. Consequently, it is proved that the Ads with sex appeal focusing on this age group can be one of the most effective advertising plans. 4. The involvement gets higher, Upbeat-ac-tivation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing both in males and female groups. But Negative dimension is in-creasing in the female consumer group of low involvement. 5. The attitudes toward advertisements and brands are comparatively stronger in the advertisements using sex appeal type. Regardless of types of appeal in the advertisements, there is a significant difference in their attitudes tow-ard Ads between male and female consumer groups. When Ads are sexual, attitudes toward Ads and Brands are stronger in the female consumer group. But males consumers show com-paratively strong attitudes toward the advertis-ements and brands in both types of appeal. 6. The age of consumers doesn't make any significant difference in their attitudes toward advertisements and brands in both types of appeal. 7. According to the involvement level of the consumers, there are significant differences in their attitudes toward advertisements. In the groups of low involvement, the female consumers show more favorite attitudes toward the advertisements with sex appeal, while the male group show more favorite attitudes toward the non-sex appeal advertisement. But there is no significant difference in consumer's attitude toward brands according to the types of appeal of the advertisement. 8. The affective responses of the consumers caused by the underwear advertisements have a respectable influence on their attitudes toward the advertisements and brands. This research represents that the advertisers should try to arise consumer's positive affective responses such as pleasant, happy, cheerful and warm-hearted emotions by the advertisements. Based on the above results of the research, it can be said that the consumer's affective responses have a strong effect not only on their attitudes toward adver-tisements but on those toward attitude toward the brands.
This paper compares the difference in the degree of advertising avoidance between traditional media and the Internet. The study also examines customers' beliefs, attitudes, and behavior toward advertising to build a theoretical model that explains advertising avoidance. A survey was conducted to identify the influential factors. Findings indicate that on comparison, YouTube advertisements on the Internet were more problematic than TV commercial breaks, leading to high advertising avoidance on the part of consumers. Finally, using path analysis, a general advertising avoidance model based on the belief-attitude-behavior hierarchy is tested. The model shows that certain beliefs about advertising have direct effects on advertising avoidance behavior as well as on the attitude toward advertising.

One important online marketing practice to emerge in recent years is online behavioral advertising. Online behavioral advertising entails a range of issues, including the following: personal information collection and usage agreements (three conditions: no agreement, agreement, or agreement with a reward), consumers' levels of perceived personalization (low vs. high), and consumers' level of online privacy concerns (low vs. high). The effects of all these is what this study is designed to examine, as it evaluates online behavioral advertising. Study findings suggest that types of information collection and usage agreement play a pivotal role in the evaluation of online behavioral ads. Individuals who provided the informed consent form with the possible reward had a more favorable attitude toward the brand than individuals who provided the informed consent form without a possible reward. In terms of personalization, the level of perceived personalization of the advertising message impacted consumers' attitudes toward the online behavioral ad and toward the brand. Finally, online privacy concerns appear to impact consumers' attitudes toward the online behavioral ad and toward the brand. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the construal level and temporal distance of a message and consumer's Social Network Service (SNS) self-efficacy on consumers' attitudes toward SNS fashion advertising. This study employed a 2 (message configuration: high construal level/low construal level) ${\times}$ 2 (temporal distance: distant future/near future) ${\times}$ 2 (SNS self-efficacy: high/low) between-subject factorial design. The survey was conducted on Facebook users in their twenties (N=216). The results are as follows: First, attitude toward SNS fashion advertising and purchase intention was higher when the message construal level was lower and when the temporal distance was closer. Second, no interactions between temporal distance and message construal level for attitude toward SNS advertising and purchase intention were found in this study. However, interactions between temporal distance and SNS self-efficacy for attitude toward SNS advertising and purchase intention were found. When the SNS self-efficacy was high, message with the low construal level reacted significantly positive in terms of attitude toward the ad as well as purchase intention. It is expected that this study will provide insight for apparel makers or retailers to use SNS as a new advertising media for fashion marketing. Practical implications and limitations are discussed.

Results - The results show that advertising campaign can enhance a salesperson's selling activities and provide wide managerial implications to a multilevel marketing firm by filling the gaps for the field of advertising research. Conclusions - Managerial implications include: i) multilevel marketing firms should consider advertising campaigns as a means of changing customer responses because advertising plays a significant role in increasing familiarity with, and knowledge of, attitudes toward the brand, which also helps salespeople interact with customers; ii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to support the sales activities of salespeople including sales effectiveness, work attitudes, and perceived performance, and iii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to enhance a salesperson's pride and motivation for selling their brand, which will lead to improved sales performances.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of comparative advertisement brand typicality and need for recognition in outdoor apparel market. This study was created with a mixed factorial design of 2 (Advertisement types: Comparative advertisement vs. General advertisement) X 2(Brand Typicality: High Brand vs. Low Brand) X 2 (Need for Cognition: High vs. Low). The results of this study are as follows: First, it was shown that comparative advertisement had a greater positive influence on attitudes toward advertising intentions in comparison to general advertisements. Second, while comparative advertisement was more effective than general advertisement for outdoor apparel brands with low typicality. Third, consumers with higher need for cognition showed a preferred attitude toward advertising intention when met with comparative advertising in contrast to general advertisement. Fourth, when consumers with higher needs for cognition were exposed to advertisement for brands of lower typicality, there was higher positive influence on the attitudes toward advertisement intention with comparative advertisement in comparison to general advertisement. This means the comparative advertisement may be effective for the new garment brand or the garment brands having low typicality to secure the cognition quickly from the consumers having high need for cognition.
