  • Recently, the cultural industry has become an attractive industry which is having a dramatic effect with the rise of Hallyu offering many possibilities for development. Specially, the marketing techniques employed by the performing arts industry started to change to respond to consumer tastes and demands like other commodity markets, as the popular performing arts industry began to receive attention as a promising industry. It is important to identify the behavior of consumers in order to actively deal with the demands and tastes of consumers that are becoming increasingly diverse and individualized. The performing arts market needs to recognize the importance of its audience and to apply appropriate marketing techniques. This study attempted to empirically identify the value of performing arts perceived by the audience and to investigate the influence of the relationship between the perceived value, attitude formation and satisfaction with performing arts. In order to examine the influence of the value of performing arts on attitude and customer satisfaction, a reliability analysis and factor analysis were conducted to investigate the dependability and validity of the measured variables. In order to achieve the study's intended purpose, the structural equation model (SEM) was utilized as the core analysis method. As a result, it was found that the perceived value and attitude towards performing arts have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. The results of this study are expected to be used as the basic data for organizations that plan performances to improve their marketing and promotion around the audience and for more specific and detailed research in the future.

  • Molecular gastronomy is a science that deconstructs the classic haute cuisine and applies science knowledge and laboratory techniques to create textures and flavors in unusual ways. The term 'Molecular Gastronomy' was introduced in 1988 by French chemist 'Herve This' and Oxford physicist 'Nicholas Kurti'. It has since been adopted by both world culinary establishments and scientists, from 'El Bulli' to 'Harold McGee'. Since most world-top prestigious restaurants and chefs were enthralled by this revolunary culinary movement, molecular gastronomy and molecular cooking have drawn a growing interest of lots of Korean people in the food industry until now. However, Korean foodservice industry is unlikely to be ready to develop this advent-garde culinary movement because molecular gastronomy is still an insufficiently established concept of culinary science and philosophy in Korea. Besides, there are many clumsy abuses of putative and clinically unproven bio-chemical components in kitchens and restaurants in the name of culinary science or culinary arts. Such a careless approach and attitude towards an important exercise like a cooking is highly deplorable. Thus it is still too far early to expect the prospective path of molecular gastronomy in Korea without understanding the core principle of molecular gastronomy and having any cultural support.

Specifically, the relationship between the body, the face, the audio, the direction and the attitude toward film technology mentioned in the interview dictation of actor Choi Min-sik was analyzed. In conclusion, Min-sik Choi's acting cannot be defined only by method acting, but implies or integrates the typical or avant-garde acting theories such as Stanislavsky, Strasberg, Mayerhold, Brecht and Grotovski. Above all, it is the presentation that expresses the flow of life through movement suggested by S. Kracauer. The feeling of compassion that Choi Min-sik himself emphasizes is in contact with the essence of the film that reproduces the flow of life, and it expands to an intended screen performance with a certain purpose. The screen performance that can be compressed with compassion and the flow of life is expressed by Min-sik Choi's various personas. His persona, transcending good and evil, reflects the present of Korean society.
