The effects of evaluation attributes on their attitudes were also investigated. In this study, the reference of the evaluation of uniforms was based on the concepts of serviceability, which implies the fitness for purpose of products and consists of durability, care, comfort and aesthetic appearance. Of 400 questionnaires, 253 of them were used for data analysis. The data were analyzed by descriptives, t-test, factor analysis, reliability test and regression analysis with SPSS 12.0. As a result, it showed that workers have set low values on easy care, physiological comfort, aesthetic appearance and durability among the evaluation attributes. In attitudes toward the uniforms, emotional attitude was negative whereas behavioral attitude positive. It appeared that the evaluation attributes had influence on the attitude toward the uniforms and esthetic appearance among the attributes had the biggest effects on the workers' attitude. • In this study, causal relationships of belief-attitude-purchase intention for unfamiliar-branded cosmetics (UBC) were tested based on the theory of reasoned action. Data of 249 consumers who have purchased UBC were submitted to the descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and regression analysis with SPSS. In results of exploratory analysis, three factors of beliefs on UBC were generated and titled as ingredients, publicity, and subsidiary features. In regression analysis results, ingredient factor affected attitude toward UBC while publicity and subsidiary features did not influence attitude toward UBC. It implies that consumers build their attitude toward brands focusing on ingredients that are core elements of cosmetic products. Attitude toward UBC solely influenced purchase intention while the effect of social acceptance on purchase intention was not found. In conclusion, consumers depend much on ingredients when they purchase UBC so brands newly launched or brands without reputations need to focus more on an excellence in ingredients and special functions of UBC to appeal to consumers when penetrating to the new market.

  • The main objectives of this study were to (1) examine and compare the importance of store attributes, store commitment, store attitude, and revisit intention concerning Korean mass cosmetic brand stores between female teenage consumers and those in 20's, and (2) investigate and compare the two groups in terms of the influences of five store commitment factors on store attitude and revisit intention. On-line surveys were conducted by the marketing research company, and a total of 354 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The results showed several significant differences between the female consumer groups in 10's and 20's. The teenage respondents placed greater importance on all store attributes except price and sales, and showed higher commitment in terms of affective commitment, and normative commitment factors than the respondents in 20's. For the teenage respondents, all four commitment factors except the normative commitment significantly influenced their store attitude and revisit intention, while the affective commitment factor did not have significant influence on either store attitude and revisit intention for the group in 20's. Normative commitment factor also did not have significant influence on revisit intention of the group in 20's. For both age groups, the negative affects of the forced commitment on store attitude and revisit intention were found.
