  • The home environments, daily activities, caregiving behaviors of mothers and teachers, infant's verbal behaviors, attachment to mothers and teachers of day care infants were compared to those of home-reared infants. 30 two-year-old home-reared infants and their mothers were observed at home by the time sampling method and 31 two-year-old day care infants and their mothers and teachers were observed at home or at the center. The HOME scale, the behavioral checking lists for caregiving behaviors and for the infants' verbal behaviors, and the Attachment Q-set were used for the home and center observations. It was found that the characteristics of early environments of day care infants were different from those of home-reared infants, but that infants' attachment to the mothers were not different. However, day care infants' attachment security scores to their mothers were higher than to their teachers.

  • The socio-emotional behaviors of 2-year-olds were examined by multiple attachments to mothers and child care providers in the context of home and child care centers. Participants were 100 children (mean age: 30.2 months), their mothers, and 27 child care providers. Attachment security was assessed with attachment Q-set. Children's social interaction with peers and teachers were rated every 10 seconds during 10 minute observation periods for 4 days, totaling40 minutes per child. Mothers and child care providers completed the Infant Toddler Socio-Emotional Assessment (ITSEA). Results showed that secure attachment relationships with child care providers partly compensated for insecure attachments with mothers at home. In the context of the child care center, secure attachments with child care providers were more important determinants of the development of socio-emotional behaviors than secure attachments with mothers.

  • This study investigated peer competence according to children's types of multiple attachment for mothers and teachers. The subjects of this study were 129 five-year old children and their 7 teachers who attend 3 kindergarten in Busan. They completed Attachment Story Completion Task(ASCT), Attachment Q-set and Peer Competence Measure. Collected data were analyzed using t-test and two-way ANOVA. The major results of this study were as follows: First, for mother, children who were securely attached showed higher peer competence than children who were insecurely attached. Girls showed higher peer competence than boys. No significant differences were found between securely attached and insecurely attached children with teachers. Girls showed higher peer competence than boys. Second, children who were attached both mother and teacher or either mother or teacher showed higher competence than children who were insecurely attached with both mother and teacher.

  • The home environments, daily activities, caregiving behaviors of mothers, infant's verbal behaviors, attachment to mothers of home-reared infants from low SES families were observed. 30 two-year-old home-reared infants and their mothers were observed at home by the time sampling method. The HOME scale, the behavioral checking lists for caregiving behaviors and for the infants' verbal behaviors, and the Attachment Q-set were used for the observation. the total HOME scores were in the middle range and the scores of "Provision of apropriate play materials" was relatively high, but "Avoidance of restriction and physical punishment" was low. The most frequent caregiving behaviors shown by mothers were " Facilitating verbal development" and "Positive social-emotional inputs". The most frequent verbal behaviors shown by infants were " Information exchange" and " Language interpretation" . The infants' attachment security scores of their mothers tended to be low.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore about 2-year-old infants' attachment security to a child care teacher and peer play process through a case study. For this purpose, the attachment security was assessed with attachment Q-set to 2-year-old five infants at a day care center in Seoul. Participants of this study are four infants included two infants attached securely to their child care teacher and two infants attached insecurely to their child care teacher. Methods: Participant observation was conducted from April 12 to July 19 in 2018 through 36 observations in free play activities. The Data collected from the transcriptions of video shoots and teachers' interviews, child care plans, and reflexive journal was analyzed and interpreted. Results: The main results of the research were as follows: The beginning of peer play, when infants invited their peers to play, secure attachment infants selected suitable play partners and asked for a specific play behaviors. However, insecure attachment infants invited unsuitable play partners and asked uncertainly play actions to peers. In addition, when infants entered in-progress play, secure attachment infants understood the context of play but insecure attachment infants did not understand the context of play. In the progress of peer play, secure attachment infants cooperated with peers, shared play objects, but insecure attachment infants did not cooperate complementally with peers and express only their opinions. As well, insecure attachment infants could not play harmoniously without child care teacher's interventions. In the end of the peer play, secure attachment infants finished in collaboration with peers but insecure attachment infants failed to finish with the peers and was turned into play with the child care teacher because of peer conflict. Conclusion/Implications: This study has implications for basic resources to think about the role of child care teachers by helping them understand about the relation 2-year-old infants' attachment security to them and peer play process.

  • Diffusion coefficients Of electrons in $SF_6$-Ar mixtures gas used by MCS- BEq algorithm has been analysed over the E/N range $30\sim300$(Td) by a two term Boltzmann equation and by a Monte Carlo Simulation using a set of electron cross sections determined by other authors, experimentally the electron swarm parameters for 0.2[%] and 0.5[%] $SF_6$-Ar mixtures were measured by time-of-flight(TOF) method, The results show that the deduced electron drift velocities, the electron ionization or attachment coefficients, longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients and mean energy agree reasonably well with theoretical for a rang of E/N values The results obtained from Boltzmann equation method and Monte Carlo simulation have been compared with present and previously obtained data and respective set of electron collision cross sections of the molecules.
