A fuzzy control system typically requires“tuning,”or adjuctment of the parameters defining its linguistic variables. Automating this process amounts to applying a second“metacontrol”layer to drive the controller and plant to desired performance levels. Current methods of automated tuning rely on a single crisp numeric functional to evaluate control system performance. A generalization of Box's complex algorithm allows more realistic tuning based on lexicographic aggregation of multiple ordinal scales of performance, such as effectiveness and efficiency. The method is presented and illustrated using a simple inverted pendulum control system.

OLS 회귀분석은 환경적 형평성과 도시 삶의 질의 공간적 관계를 밝히기 위하여 사용되어 질수 있지만, 이러한 전역적 방법은 그 공간적 관계에 있어서 국지적 변이를 설명할 수 없다. 이들 지리적 변이를 밝혀 내기 위해서는 반드시 국지적 방법을 사용해야 한다. 이러한 맥락에서, 본 논문은 국지적 방법인 지리적 가중회귀분석(GWR)을 이용하여 애틀란타 대도시권에서 환경적 형평성과 도시 삶의 질간의 공간적 변이관계를 탐색하고자 한다. 환경적 형평성과 도시 삶의 질은 GIS와 원격탐사의 통합적 방법에 의하여 측정되었다. 연구결과에 따르면, 애틀란타 대도시권에서 환경적 형평성과 도시 삶의 질의 공간적 관계는 일반적으로 유의적인 부의 관계가 있었다. 또한, 환경적 형평성과 도시 삶의 질의 관계는 공간상에서 상당히 변이하고, 전역적 OLS 모델 보다 GWR 모델이 이러한 공간적 변이관계를 더 잘 설명할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

In order to establish micropropagation system Anthurium andreanum 'Atlanta', dwarf type, shoots of A. andreanum were cultured on medium supplemented with cytokinin. Callus was formed from the base of shoots. high frequency callus induction was obtained on medium with 10.0mg/L BA or 10.0mg/L TDZ(thidiazuron) at more than 71.8%. The shoots were cultured on media with various combinations and concentrations of TDZ, BA and 2.4-D to enhance callus induction. Callus was induced at more than 72.6% and grew vigorously on media containing 10.0mg/L BA and 0.0∼0.5mg/L 2.4-D, or 1.0mg/L TDZ. Stimulation effects of cytokinin by 2.4-D did not occur in combined treatments of cytokinin and 2.4-D. Callus was cut into sections(7${\times}$10mm), and then cultured on media with BA alone or BA and 2.4-D to regenerate shoots and to stimulate the callus growth. Shoot regeneration and callus growth were effective on media with 10.0mg/L BA alone, or 10.0mg/L BA and 0.1mg/L 2.4-D. In combined treatments of BA and 2.4-D, stmulation effects of cytocinin by 2.4-D also did not occur. Callus growth was decreased, accordiong to increasing the concentration of 2.4-D. In cimbined treatments of TDZ and 2.4-D in shoot regeneration and callus proliferation, stimulated effects of cytokinin by 2.4-D did not occur entirely. Media with 0.5∼1.0mg/L TDZ ingibited the regeneration and rooting of shoots, and callus growth from callus sections. Addition of 2.4-D on medium with TDZ ingibited the regeneration and rooting of shoots, and callus growth. Rooted plantdts were acclimatized in greenhouse. The plantlets were survived more than 98% in soil of vermiculite alone or mixed perlite 1 and vermiculite 1.

재미한인2세는 미국에서 태어나서 영어로 교육을 받고 자란 세대인데, 이들은 영어를 잘 구사하고 미국문화에 익숙하기 때문에 다양한 전문직에 진출하고 있다. 한인2세 성인들은 미국에서 출생하여 미국 문화에 동화되고 미국식 사고방식과 행동방식에 익숙해져 미국인 정체성을 내면화하게 된다. 미국의 대다수 한인교회의 운영이나 설교에서 한인1세들은 중심적 역할을 맡고 한인2세들은 극히 부차적인 역할을 맡고 있는데, 근래 상당수의 한인2세 성인들이 한인교회를 떠나고 있다. 또한 재미한인사회에서 한인2세 성인의 인구 비중이 점차로 커지고 있기 때문에 일부 한인교회에서는 영어예배를 제공하고 있다. 미국의 한인사회에서 한인2세들의 영향력은 점차로 커질 것이기 때문에 한인2세들의 교회 활동과 정체성 문제는 미국의 한인사회 미래를 예측하는 데 매우 중요한 연구주제가 된다.

This paper evaluates and maps the quality of life in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area in 2000. Three environmental variables from Landsat TM data, four socioeconomic variables from census data, and a hazard-related variable from toxic release inventory (TRI) database were integrated into a geographic information system (GIS) environment for the quality of life assessment. To solve the incompatibility problem in areal units among different data, the four socioeconomic variables aggregated by zonal units were spatially disaggregated into individual pixels. Principal components analysis (PCA) was employed to integrate and transform environmental, socioeconomic, and hazard-related variables into a resultant quality of life score for each pixel. Results indicate that the highest quality of life score was found around Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alphretta, and the northern parts of Fulton County along Georgia 400 whereas the lowest quality of life score was clustered around Smyma of Cobb County, the inner city of Atlanta, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The results also reveals that normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and relative risk from TRI facilities are two versatile indicators of environmental and socioeconomic quality of an urban area in the United States.

We discuss the effects of the ${\delta}^2$ and Lubkin acceleration methods on the partial sums of Fourier Series. We construct continuous, even H$\ddot{o}$lder continuous functions, for which these acceleration methods fail to give convergence. The constructed functions include some interesting trigonometric series whose properties were investigated by Hardy and Littlewood.

This study examines the effects of information and communication technologies on individual performance. The literature has paid a considerable amount of attention to social influence as a determinant of individual behavior. We combine task-technology fit with concepts from adaptive structuration theory to specify social influence. In our model, we suggest that individuals should receive support from proper social construction to have additional performance improvement. Empirical data from 317 individuals across 43 teams in 10 companies is used to assess the theoretical model. Our theoretical model received support from the data.
