The importance of protection for information is increasing by the rapid development of information communication and network. Asymmetric crypto-system is the mainstream in encryption system rather than symmetric cryptosystem by above reasons. But asymmetric cryptosystem is restricted in applying to application fields by the reason it takes more times to process than symmetric cryptosystem. In this paper, the proposed cryptosystem uses an algorithm that combines block cipherment with stream ciphcrment. Proposed cryptosystem has a high stability in aspect of secret rate by means of transition of key sequence according to the information of plaintext while asymmetric /symmetric cryptosystern conducts encipherment/decipherment using a fixed key Consequently, it is very difficult to crack although unauthenticator acquires the key information. So, the proposed encryption system which has a certification function of asymmetric cryptosystcm and a processing time equivalent to symmetric cryptosystcm will be highly useful to authorize data or exchange important information.
A new modal analysis method for rotor systems with periodically time-varying parameters is proposed. The essence of method is to introduce modulated coordinates to derive the equivalent time-invariant equation. This paper presents a modal analysis method using modulated coordinates fur general rotors, of which rotating and stationary parts both possess asymmetric properties. The equation of motion with time-varying parameters is transformed to an infinite order matrix equation with the time-invariant parameters. A theory of modal analysis for the system is presented with the infinite order equation and a couple of reduced order equations. A numerical example with simple asymmetric rotor is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method
This study proposes a new vibration control approach for adjacent twin structures, which is termed as viscous damper asymmetric coupling system in this paper. The proposed system takes a concept that the diagonal bracing viscous dampers are asymmetrically distributed in two buildings to break the behavior symmetry of the twin buildings and then the coupling viscous damper is additionally installed at the top floor of the two buildings to couple both buildings and interactively transfer the asymmetric behavior-caused damping forces into both buildings. These asymmetric damping distributions and interacting damping forces of the connection damper efficiently suppress the overall vibration of the damper-coupled adjacent twin buildings efficiently. Genetic algorithm (GA) based multi-objective optimization technique is adopted for optimal design of the proposed system. In the numerical example of adjacent twin 10-story building structures, the conventional control approach, that is, uniform damping distribution system (UDS) is also taken into account for comparison purpose. The optimization results verify that the proposed system either can improve the control performance over the UDS with the same damping capacity, or can save the damping capacity significantly while maintaining the similar level of control performance to the UDS.

This study aims to examine whether symmetric effects or asymmetric effects of exchange rates exist in determining the money demand in Indonesia. Simple-sum money and Divisia money were included in different models for comparison due to the financial developments in Indonesia. This study uses time-series data from 1996Q1 to 2019Q4 for the estimation. The nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model is utilized to verify the asymmetric effects of exchange rates on money demand. The Augmented Dickey-Fuller and Phillips-Perron unit root tests were performed to verify the order of integration of the variables. The findings of this study revealed that the exchange rate is one of the most important determinants of money demand in Indonesia and the effect is asymmetric. The findings further indicated that money demand function, which incorporates Divisia monetary aggregate is parsimonious. Monetary targets such as money supply and interest rates are critical for monetary policy conduct to achieve inflation levels set by government. As the adoption of an inflation targeting framework needs to be in keeping with the flexible exchange rate system, the asymmetric effect of exchange rate changes can be used in exchange rate policy conduct to achieve financial system and price stability.
The asymmetric pulsed DC reactive magnetron sputtering system is widely used for the high quality plasma sputtering process such as a thin film deposition. In asymmetric pulsed DC power supply a reverse voltage is applied to the target periodically to minimize arc discharging effect. When sputtering in the mid-frequency range (20-350 kHz), the periodic target voltage reversals suppress arc formation at the target and provide long-term process stability. Thus, high quality, defect-free coatings of these materials can now be deposited at competitive rates. In this paper, a new style asymmetric pulsed DC power supply including mid-transformer is presented. In the proposed, an energy recovery circuit is adopted to reduce the mutual inductance of the transformer. As a result, the system dynamics of the voltage control loop is increased highly and the non-linear voltage boosting effect of the conventional system is removed. This work was proved through simulation and laboratory based experimental study.
This paper presents an efficient method for determining the forced response of a spinning flexible disk-spindle system supported by fluid dynamic bearings(FDBs) in a computer hard disk drive(HDD). The spinning flexible disk-spindle system is represented by the asymmetric finite element equations of motion originating from the asymmetric dynamic coefficients of the FDBs and the gyroscopic moment of a spinning disk-spindle system. The proposed method utilizes only the right eigenvectors of the eigenvalue problem to transform the large asymmetric finite element equations of motion into a small number of coupled equations, guaranteeing the accuracy of their numerical integration. The results are then back-substituted into the equations of motion to determine the forced response. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by comparing it with the responses from the classical methods of mode superposition with the general eigenvalue problems, and mode superposition with modal approximation. The proposed method was shown to be effective in determining the forced response represented by the asymmetric finite element equations of motion of a spinning flexible disk-spindle system supported by FDBs.

The simultaneous suppression of sidelobes and the sharpening of the central peak in the process of diffraction pattern detection based on asymmetric apodization have been investigated. Asymmetric apodization is applied to a semicircular array of two-dimensional (2D) aperture functions, which is a series of 'coded-phase arrays of semicircular rings randomly distributed over the central circular region of a pupil function' and is similar to that used in the field of diffractive optics. The point spread function (PSF) of an imaging system with asymmetric apodization of the discrete type has been found to possess a good side with suppressed sidelobes, whereas its bad side contains enhanced sidelobes. Further, the diffracted field characteristics are obtained in the presence of these aperture functions. Asymmetric apodization is helpful in improving the performance of the optical gratings or 2D arrays used in real-time imaging techniques.
This paper proposes a high efficiency wireless power transfer system with an asymmetric 4-coil resonator. It presents a theoretical analysis, an optimal design method, and experimental results. In the proposed asymmetric 4-coil system, the primary side consists of a source coil and two transmitter coils which are called intermediate coils, and in the secondary side, a load coil serves as a receiver coil. In the primary side, two intermediate coils boost the apparent coupling coefficient at around the operating frequency. Because of this double boosting effect, the system with an asymmetric 4-coil resonator has a higher efficiency than the conventional symmetric 4-coil system. The prototype operates at 90 kHz ofswitching frequency and has 200 mm of the power transmission distance between the primary side and the secondary side. An AC-DC overall system efficiency of 96.56% has been achieved at 3.3 kW of output power.
A Low cost and variable speed brushless motor drive system with single switch per phase is presented. The motor drive is realized with a novel two-phase flux-reversal-free switched reluctance motor and a split AC two switch converter. The strategy of the controller and the converter for its realization are described. Comparisons between a split AC converter, asymmetric converter, split DC converter, single controllable switch converter, and N+1 converter are performed for its device rating, cost, switching losses and conduction losses, and converter efficiency. The split AC converter is analyzed and simulated to verify the characteristics of the converter circuitry and control feasibility and the simulation results are presented. The efficiency with various loads is numerically estimated and experimentally compared from viewpoint of subsystem and system in details. The focus of this paper is to compare the presented motor drive system to the asymmetric converter system throughout experiments and demonstrate single switch per phase converter having comparable efficiency as the asymmetric converter system.
