난류 이중동심관 유동에 미치는 표면거칠기 효과 (Effect of Surface Roughness on Turbulent Concentric Annular Flows)

  • The structure of turbulence of fully developed flow through three concentric annuli with both rough inner and outer walls was investigated experimentally for Reynolds number range Re=15000-93000. Turbulence intensities were measured in three (u, v, w) directions, and turbulence shear stresses in annuli of radius ratios .alpha.= 0.26, 0.4 and 0.56, respectively. The result showed that the structure of turbulence for these asymmetric flows was not the same as that for the annulus with smooth walls. The velocity fluctuations of all three components (u, v, and w-directions) showed little discernible variation with Reynolds numbers, but became apparent with the influence of radius ratio (.alpha.) The experimental results for an annulus with the roughened outer wall and a smooth annulus were shown in the figures as a reference. The eddy diffusivities and friction factors were also presented and discussed.

Inclusion Complexation of Cyclodextrin with Prothionamide in Aqueous Solution

  • The inclusion of ${\beta}-cyclodextrin$ $({\beta}-CyD)$ with prothionamide in aqueous phase was investigated by circular dichroism(CD), ultraviolet (UV) absorption, and solubility technique. The results suggested that a region of drug chromophore was located within the asymmetric center of ${\beta}-cyclodextrin$. Solubility and spectral changes were quantitatively treated to obtain stoichiometric ratio, which was found to be 1 : 1, and formation constants which were determined by solubility, CD, and UV method were 257, 367, and 389 $M^{-1}$, respectively. Also, the formation constant of the inclusion complex was determined by CD method at various pH. The result was that $K_c$ depended upon the pH of medium, and this fact also supported that thioamide moiety was accomodated in the cavity of ${\beta}-cyclodextrin$.

Electrochemical characterization of supercapacitors based on carbons derived from Sorona activated by ZnCl2

  • Carbons derived by the pyrolysis of Sorona activated by $ZnCl_2$ in the ratio of 1:20 and non-porogen Sorona carbons are used as the electrode materials in asymmetric electrochemical supercapacitors and electrochemical behavior is investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) reveals the porogen free carbons show a flake-like structure and the $ZnCl_2$-treated Sorona carbons have a loose, disjoint structure without any particular shape. Cyclic voltammetric (CV) studies show specific prolate rectangular shape and gives good capacitive properties.

Quantitative Determination of Eugenol in Eugenia Caryophyllata Thunb by Three Wavelength Spectrophotometry

  • Three wavelength spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of eugenol in Eugenia Caryophyllata Thunb. Using this method could effectively eliminate the deviation of background absorption caused by the change of concentration and the error of quantitative analysis caused by asymmetric peaks, and at the same time the leaning degree of base line was corrected. This method was simple the recovery ratio was 90.05%-116.94% and the coefficient of variation was 3.5%.

A Study on the Coolant Mixing Phenomena in the Reactor Lower Plenum

  • When asymmetric thermal-hydraulic conditions occur between cold legs, the core inlet temperature will be nonuniform if the coolant is not mixed perfectly in the lower plenum. These uneven core inlet conditions may induce the change in core power distribution. Thus realistic prediction of thermal mixing is important in such abnormal conditions. In this study, reactor internals, which are scaled down as to conserve the flow area ratio, are set up in the model of KORI Unit 1 with the scaling factor of 1/710 by volume and coolant temperatures are measured beneath the lower core plate. Based on experimental results, the ability of COMMIX-1B code to simulate the coolant mixing phenomena in the lower plenum is estimated. The results show that complete mixing never occurs in any conditions and the mixing pattern is characterized according to the plant type.

비대칭 이중게이트 MOSFET의 상하단 산화막 두께비에 따른 문턱전압이하 스윙의 변화 (Deviation of Subthreshold Swing for the Ratio of Top and Bottom Oxide Thickness of Asymmetric Double Gate MOSFET)

  • 본 연구에서는 비대칭 이중게이트 MOSFET의 상하단 게이트 산화막 두께 비에 대한 문턱전압이하 스윙 및 전도중심의 변화에 대하여 분석하고자한다. 문턱전압이하 스윙은 전도중심에 따라 변화하며 전도중심은 상하단의 산화막 두께에 따라 변화한다. 비대칭 이중게이트 MOSFET는 상단과 하단의 게이트 산화막 두께를 다르게 제작할 수 있어 문턱전압이하 스윙의 저하 등 단채널효과를 감소시키기에 유용한 소자로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 포아송방정식의 해석학적 해를 이용하여 문턱전압이하 스윙을 유도하였으며 상하단의 산화막두께 비가 전도중심 및 문턱전압이하 스윙에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 결과적으로 문턱전압이하 스윙 및 전도중심은 상하단 게이트 산화막 두께 비에 따라 큰 변화를 나타냈다. 또한 채널길이 및 채널두께, 상하단게이트 전압 그리고 도핑분포함수의 변화에 따라 문턱전압이하 스윙 및 전도중심은 상호 유기적으로 변화하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • The short channel poly-Si TFT is important in aspect of transistor characteristics, packing density and aperture ratio. In this paper, we have reported the degradation phenomena of short channel poly-Si TFT's which had significantly degraded device parameters, such as threshold voltage shift and a great asymmetric degradation, due to gate and drain electrical stress. The reduced effective channel length and expanded depletion region may be the main reason of these significant device parameters.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 영역해석법을 사용하여 대칭 및 비대칭 광역 결합 동일평면 도파관 선로의 특성을 연구하였다. 이 구조는 기모드와 우모드 사이의 위상속도비가 크기 때문에 광대역특성과 결합특성을 갖는 마이크로파 회로의 설계에 유용하다. 광역결합 동일평면 도파관 선로내의 스트립의 폭과 슬롯의 폭을 조절하면서 모드 유효유전율과 특성임피던스를 얻었으며 이로부터 효율적인 설계 파라미터를 얻을 수 있다.

얕은 사각용기에서의 순간 회전가속 유동에 관한 연구 (The Study for an Impulsive Spin-Up Flow in a Shallow Rectangular Container)

  • The impulsive spin-up flow in a shallow rectangular container is analyzed numerically by quasi 3-D unsteady laminar flow. In the non-inertia coordinates, the flow is generated by the virtual forces as Coriolis force, etc.. After the boundary layers grow up near sidewalls, primary vortexes separate from the sidewalls. As the Reynolds number increases, the subsidiary vortexes take place in the boundary layer. The rigid body rotation is started from the inner region and propagated to the outer region, finally all the fluid reaches the rigid body rotation. According to the Reynolds number and the aspect ratio, the development of vortex pattern is symmetric or asymmetric.

The Effect of a Wing on the Heat toss from a Modified Rectangular Fin

  • A modified asymmetric rectangular fin is analysed using the two-dimensional separation of variables method. This modified rectangular fin is made by attaching the wing on the top side of a rectangular fin. Heat loss from each side of this modified rectangular fin is calculated. The relative increasing ratio of heat loss between a modified rectangular fin and a rectangular fin is presented as a function of dimensionless fin volume, wing height and the location of the wing. Especially, to show the remarkable effect of the wing on the heat loss, the relative increasing ratios of heat loss between two different volume increasing methods are listed.
