  • It has been estimated the total factor productivity(TFP)of the city of Seoul. Average TFP growth rate during 1974-1992 has been estimated as 0.0602. TFP growth rate has been decreased from 0.0804 of 1970's to 0.0561 of 1980 and 1990's Factsro affecting the TFP are found to be core infrastructure, capital stock and land price growth rate. High land price growth rate depresses the TFP growth rate. During 1989, due to the high land price growth rate and extremely low building costruction permit TFP rate has been estimated as negative.

DMF rate DMFT rate index DT rate MT rate and FT rate had been calculated and Compared with Common Popular's in same ages group. Following are the obtained results 1. In the mental Disorders, Caries experience rate was 52.19% 2. D.M.F. rate and index were lower in the females than in the males 3. The Caries experience rate in the mental Disorders was lower than in the Common Populars 4. In the mental Disorders the F.T. rate was higher in females than in males D.T. rate higher in males than in females and MT rate, lower in males than in females 5. In generally D.T. rate in the mental Disorders was lower than in Controls, M.T. rate resembled as Controls and F.T. rate higher

  • Objective: A formula is needed that is practical for current livestock breeding methods and that predicts the approximate rate of inbreeding (ΔF) in populations where selection is performed according to four-path programs (sires to breed sons, sires to breed daughters, dams to breed sons, and dams to breed daughters). The formula widely used to predict inbreeding neglects selection, we need to develop a new formula that can be applied with or without selection. Methods: The core of the prediction is to incorporate the long-tern genetic influence of the selected parents in four-selection paths executed as sires to breed sons, sires to breed daughters, dams to breed sons, and dams to breed daughters. The rate of inbreeding was computed as the magnitude that is proportional to the sum of squared long-term genetic contributions of the parents of four-selection paths to the selected offspring. Results: We developed a formula to predict the rate of inbreeding in populations undergoing four-path selection on genomically enhanced breeding values and with discrete generations. The new formula can be applied with or without selection. Neglecting the effects of selection led to underestimation of the rate of inbreeding by 40% to 45%. Conclusion: The formula we developed here would be highly useful as a practical method for predicting the approximate rate of inbreeding (ΔF) in populations where selection is performed according to four-path programs.

  • In this study, the data and the Statistical Annual Report of the Korean Dental Technology Association and the yearbook of Health-Welfare Ministry from 1990 to 2002 were surveyed to study and analyze the yearly increase rate and regional distribution rate of the national dental laboratories and dental clinics, the rate of dental laboratories to dental clinics. The purpose of the thesis is to help dental technicians to open the rational and effective dental laboratory which considers the regional condition and the distribution of dental clinics. The result of the study is as follows; 1) The yearly increase rate of overall dental laboratories is 2.01 times to 2002 by the criteria of 1990. The most laboratories was increased in 1995(+94) but the least laboratories was increased in 2000(+13). According to the regional increase rate, Kyounggi Association showed the highest increase rate (7.00 times) but Woolsan Association showed the least increase rate (1.45 times) for the past 5 years. Busan Association had increased by 1.47 times by the criteria of 1990. 2) According to the regional distribution rate of dental laboratories, Seoul area showed the highest distribution rate from the minimum 26.72%(in 2002) to the maximum 35.23%(in 1990) every year, and before 1993, Busan area showed the high distribution rate of 12.49% and Daegu area 12.38%. 3) In the case of the national increase rate, dental clinics had increased by 2.01 times to 2001 by the criteria of 1990 and dental laboratories, whose number was 1,482 in 2002, had increased by 2.01 times to that year. The rate of the national dental laboratories to dental clinics went up an average of 1: 7.57 for 12 years. In 1994, the rate showed the highest 1:7.91 and in 1990, the rate showed the least 1:7.17. 4) The metropolitan rate of dental laboratories to dental clinics showed the average of 1:6.70 for 12 years, and the rate was highest in 1992(1:7.15) and the rate lowest in 1999(1:6.33). 5) The rate of dental laboratories to dental clinics in other areas was 1:9.53, the average of 12 years and was highest in 1991(1:9.97) and was lowest in 1990(1:8.79). (6) The rate of the Korean dental laboratories to dental clinics was 1:7.37 in 2001, the metropolitan rate was 1:6.53 and the rate in other areas was 1:9.10. According to the regional distribution rate, the rate of Kyounggi was highest (1:15.58) and the rate of Daegu was lowest(1:3.03).

  • In order to collect some necessary data to promote correcting the toothbrushing technic on the Korean public, the author had examined the number of present teeth on which had cervical abrasion and the most basic home dental care in 2,000 Korean male and female adults from 19 to 52 years in the age. Then, the cervical abrasion experience rate and the cervical abrasion experience teeth rate were calculated and evaluated. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Cervical abrasion experience rate was 32.45% 2. Cervical abrasion experience rate was gradually increased by ageing. 3. Cervical abrasion experience rate in male adults was higher than that in female adults. 4. Cervical abrasion experience rate in the lower jaw was higher than that in the upper jaw. 5. Cervical abrasion experience rate of the teeth at the right side was higher than that of the teeth at the left side. 6. Cervical abrasion experience teeth rate was 3.82%. 7. Cervical abrasion experience rate was highest on the first bicuspid, and followed in the sequence of the second bicuspid, canine, first molar, incisors, and 2nd and 3rd molars.

  • Using the 1987-2008 quarterly aggregated data of the Household Income and Expenditure Survey, this study investigated the factors influencing household saving rate. The independent variables in the AR regression model were the GDP growth rate, shares of the total household expenditure allocated to tax & social insurance, and education, the variables reflecting the conditions of the asset market including interest rate, stock market index, and real estate price index, and the variables representing the social economic conditions including the index of aging and income inequality. Among the independent variables interest rate, stock market index, and income inequality were found to be significantly associated with the household saving rate. These results suggested that the redistribution and financial market policies favorable to savers may be effective for raising the household saving rate.
