The DNA chips are devices associating the specific recognition properties of two DNA single strands through hybridization process with the performances of the microtechnology. In the literature, the "Gene chip" or "DNA chip" terminology is employed in a wide way and includes macroarrays and microarrays. Standard definitions are not yet clearly exposed. Generally, the difference between macro and microarray concerns the number of active areas and their size, Macroarrays correspond to devices containing some tens spots of 500$\mu$m or larger in diameter. microarrays concern devices containing thousnads spots of size less than 500$\mu$m. The key technical parameters for evaluating microarray-manufacturing technologies include microarray density and design, biochemical composition and versatility, repreducibility, throughput, quality, cost and ease of prototyping. Here we report, a new method in which minute particles are arranged in a random fashion on a chip pattern using random fluidic self-assembly (RFSA) method by hydrophobic interaction. We intend to improve the stability of the particles at the time of arrangement by establishing a wall on the chip pattern, besides distinction of an individual particle is enabled by giving a tag structure. This study demonstrates the fabrication of a chip pattern, immobilization of DNA to the particles and arrangement of the minute particle groups on the chip pattern by hydrophobic interaction.ophobic interaction.
The objective of this paper was to show the possibility of demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) using the current Korean ventilation standard for multi-purposed facilites. Two attractive DCV approaches; $CO_2$-DCV and RFID-DCV were applied to DCV simulations for a theoretical public assembly space served by a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with enthalpy recovery device. A numerical model for predicting realtime occupant number, ventilation rate, and $CO_2$ concentration under given conditions was developed using a commercial equation solver program. It was found that the current ventilation standard causes unstable ventilation system control in DCV applications, especially under $CO_2$-DCV. It is because the ventilation rate (per person) used in Korea is the sum of the outdoor air required to remove or dilute air contaminants generated by both occupant and building itself, and not a pure function of occupant numbers. Finally, it makes DCV control unstable when ventilation flow is regulated only by the number of occupants. In order for solving this problem, current Korean ventilation standard was modified as a form of ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2007 showing good applicability to various DCV approaches. It was found that this modification enhances applicability of the current ventilation standard to DCV significantly.

Traditional block cipher Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is widely used in the field of network security, but it has high overhead on each operation. In the 15th international workshop on information security applications, a novel lightweight and low-power encryption algorithm named low-power encryption algorithm (LEA) was released. This algorithm has certain useful features for hardware and software implementations, that is, simple addition, rotation, exclusive-or (ARX) operations, non-Substitute-BOX architecture, and 32-bit word size. In this study, we further improve the LEA encryptions for cloud computing. The Web-based implementations include JavaScript and assembly codes. Unlike normal implementation, JavaScript does not support unsigned integer and rotation operations; therefore, we present several techniques for resolving this issue. Furthermore, the proposed method yields a speed-optimized result and shows high performance enhancements. Each implementation is tested using various Web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox, and on various devices including personal computers and mobile devices. These results extend the use of LEA encryption to any circumstance.

A mixed model assembly line (MMAL) is a special type of production line where a variety of product models similar in product characteristics are assembled. Determining the model sequence is an important problem for the efficient use of MMALs. This paper considers interactive multiobjective decision making problems for MMAL sequencing. Evolution program is employed as an underlying framework. In this study, a way of approximating the linear utility function is first studied. To improve its search efficiency to the solution space preferred by a decision maker, some modifications of a standard evolution program are made: operating several subpopulations instead of a single population and merging two or more subpopulations to a single subpopulation, and using a Pareto pool. Extensive computational experiments are carried out to verify the performance of the proposed approach. The computational results show that our approach is promising in solution quality.
The summary of this paper is as follows. The literature on existing expert system maintenance software technique are reviewed in Module program, a case of assembly line process problem at construction industry and planning expert system to solve this problem at construction as a standard configured process system are discussed. the regenerative expert system approach for the construction process expert system and its example for the assembly line construction process appear in the research also, this paper shows the architecture and some feature of the CES.(Construction Expert System), which is a prototype implemented for the regenerative expert system approach. the paper introduce the framework of the regenerative expert approach as a general framework of developing and maintaining a large-scale expert systems.

This paper introduces the development of design capabilities for air cylinders and jig bases in a three-dimensional jig design system for automobile body assembly. We first built the standard part library for these parts, and then developed the dedicated 3D design capabilities based on the Unigraphics system. By using this 3-D jig design system, design can be performed more intuitively, and verification and simulation of design results can be done more easily as the 3-D design result can be used readily for virtual manufacturing simulation.
This paper presents a fabrication method of microcapsules encapsulating fluorescent nanoparticles sensitive to an organic liquid, which is potentially applicable to the encapsulation of protein, cell and drug. It uses the supra-molecular self-assembly of a block copolymer at the interface of the stable and controllable droplets of water suspended with fluorescent nanoparticles and the polymer solved organic. The size and uniformity of the microcapsules were examined for the various polymer concentrations by using SEM image analysis. The maximum standard deviation of the produced microcapsules of less than 3.5% was obtained from the microcapsules produced from the same conditions. The inclusion of fluorescent nanoparticles was visualized in the fluorescence microscope and by using TEM image. It is shown that this fabrication method can provide the uniform size microcapsules with a higher inclusion.

The dynamic characteristics of rotor shafts for electric motors were investigated through the modal tests. The natural frequencies and modal dampings in each manufacturing stage of rotor core assembly were analyzed from the frequency response functions fer all 6 motors of a product model. The deviation of the each individual modal feature was found dependent on the mode shapes as well as the rotor assembly stage. The core stacking itself is known to widen the deviation of modal properties but fellowing processes of rotor bar insertion and swaging are confirmed to reduce the deviation. Finally the equivalent diameter of core part was estimated from the comparison of measured and calculated results to include the stiffness of core part.

Estimating the construction period at the initial stage of the project and determining whether it is appropriate is very important for the developer's decision-making and the success of the construction company's business. Existing researchers have conducted various studies to calculate the appropriate construction period, but there is no study on the influencing factors and methodology for the construction period of beam-column PC apartment building frame construction. The purpose of this study is to calculate the PC member assembly time using the mathematical algorithm of PC member assembly. The results of this study can be used as basic data to calculate the construction date of the standard floor of PC construction.

The performance analysis of an electronic equipment test is very complicate due to the variety o vehicles. In this study, automatic design system for the electronic equipment test has been carried out using the standard load patterns. For the test, standard signal patterns for each item are modeled. The test items can be decided by the user by means of these patterns. Also, engineering software modules are developed and proved to be very efficient for analyzing the test results statistically. Experiments are performed for the test system in the vehicle assembly line. By analyzing the test results, it is found that bad samples can be detected without failure. Also, the engineering software modules provide an analytical tool for the automation of the test process.
