다목적 시뮬레이션 통합 하이브리드 유전자 알고리즘을 사용한 수동 조립라인의 동기 작업 모델 (A Synchronized Job Assignment Model for Manual Assembly Lines Using Multi-Objective Simulation Integrated Hybrid Genetic Algorithm (MO-SHGA))

  • The application of the theoretical model to real assembly lines has been one of the biggest challenges for researchers and industrial engineers. There should be some realistic approach to achieve the conflicting objectives on real systems. Therefore, in this paper, a model is developed to synchronize a real system (A discrete event simulation model) with a theoretical model (An optimization model). This synchronization will enable the realistic optimization of systems. A job assignment model of the assembly line is formulated for the evaluation of proposed realistic optimization to achieve multiple conflicting objectives. The objectives, fluctuation in cycle time, throughput, labor cost, energy cost, teamwork and deviation in the skill level of operators have been modeled mathematically. To solve the formulated mathematical model, a multi-objective simulation integrated hybrid genetic algorithm (MO-SHGA) is proposed. In MO-SHGA each individual in each population acts as an input scenario of simulation. Also, it is very difficult to assign weights to the objective function in the traditional multi-objective GA because of pareto fronts. Therefore, we have proposed a probabilistic based linearization and multi-objective to single objective conversion method at population evolution phase. The performance of MO-SHGA is evaluated with the standard multi-objective genetic algorithm (MO-GA) with both deterministic and stochastic data settings. A case study of the goalkeeping gloves assembly line is also presented as a numerical example which is solved using MO-SHGA and MO-GA. The proposed research is useful for the development of synchronized human based assembly lines for real time monitoring, optimization, and control.

수치해석을 이용한 마스트집합체 내 핵연료 집합체의 열수력적 안전성 연구 (Numerical study on the thermal-hydraulic safety of the fuel assembly in the Mast assembly)

  • 본 연구에서는 전산유체역학(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) 해석코드를 사용하여 마스트집합체의 열수력적 안전성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 자연대류 벤치마크 문제를 선정하여 CFD 코드의 물리모델을 선정 및 해석 능력을 검증하고 이를 이용하여 마스트집합체에 대한 자연대류 열전달 해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 Betts et al.의 사각 수직공동에서 난류 자연대류 실험결과를 대상으로 CFD 해석을 수행하여 자연대류 조건에 적용하기 위한 난류 모델로 표준 $k-{\omega}$ 모델을 선정하였다. 이렇게 도출된 난류모델을 CFD코드에 적용하여 Bates et al.에 의해 수행된 PNL(Pacific Northwest Laboratory)의 $2{\times}6$ 번들 실험과 이에 대한 Kwon et al.의 MATRA, Fluent 코드의 해석과 비교 계산을 수행하여 CFD코드의 부수로조건 자연대류 열전달 해석 능력을 검증하였다. 최종적으로 도출된 $k-{\omega}$ 난류 모델을 사용하여 마스트집합체 및 핵연료 집합체에 대한 자연대류 해석을 수행하였다. 해석 결과 수조 내부 및 부수로 내에서 안정적인 자연대류 유동이 발생함을 확인하였으며, 본 유동 조건에서 핵비등이탈비를 계산함으로써 열수력적 안전성을 정량적으로 평가하였다.

이종결합 고속회전 발사 탄의 비행 안정성에 결합력이 미치는 영향성 분석 (Analysis of How the Bonding Force between Two Assemblies Affects the Flight Stability of a High-speed Rotating Projectile)

  • Purpose: We sought to understand why a high-speed rotating projectile featuring a fuze-and-body assembly sometimes exhibited airburst, and we intended to improve the flight stability by eliminating airburst. Methods: We performed characteristic factor analysis, structural mechanics modeling, and dynamic modeling and simulation; and we scheduled firing tests to discover the cause of airburst. We used a step-by-step procedure to analyze the reliability function for selecting the bonding force standard that prevents airburst. Results: The 00MM high-speed rotating projectile features a fuze bonded to a body assembly; the bonding sometimes can break on firing. The resulting contact force, vibration and roll damping during flight generated yaw. Flight became unstable; fuze operation triggered an airburst. Our reliability test improved the bonding force standard (the force was increased). When the bonding force was at least the minimum required, a firing test revealed that airburst/flight instability disappeared. Conclusion: Analysis and identification of the causes of flight instability and airburst render military training safer and enhance combat power. Ammunition must perform as designed. Our method can be used to set standards that improve the performances of similar types of ammunition.

An Integrated ECAD Library System for Standard Part Management in a Heterogeneous ECAD Environment

  • In this study, we propose an integrated CAD(Computer Aided Design) library database in a heterogeneous commercial ECAD(Electronic CAD) environment. To effectively solve engineering problems focused on BOM data extraction we use a software system called schematic capture and company-wide standard electronic part information loaded on different commercial ECADs. We unify many commercial ECADs into one schematic capture and a variety of PCB(Printed Circuit Board) design tools. For this purpose we develope a model for linking CAD symbol library with company-wide standard part information. We also develope a schematic design data conversion scheme and show how to extract PBA level BOM data using our customized schematic capture. This system is being operated in an X-Window based engineering work station and commercial RDBMS base.

생산직 남성근로자의 작업 중 에너지 소모량 (Energy Expenditure of Male Blue Collar Workers)

  • Predicting energy expenditure (EE) is important to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs). The problem to predict EE is that the standard of EE is based on western data. The authors checked average EE by job categories to provide basic data for suggesting proper work intensity for Korean workers. This study was conducted from 2003 to 2005. Study subjects were recruited from 4 car parts assembly plant, 2 car assembly plant, 2 Heavy machine manufacturing plant and 2 shipyards. Total study subjects were 515 male workers. To estimate VO2max, sub-maximal test was conducted to measure VO275%max by bicycle ergometer (Combi Co, Aerobike 75XL II). Heartbeats were recorded with heartbeat recorder (Polar Electro Co, Finland, S810) during work. EE of work was calculated by recorded heartbeat and individual regression equation which was derived from sub-maximal test. Subjects were classified into 4 industry and 8 work posture, 23 job task categories. Mean EEs (S.D.) according to industry classification (kcal/min) were 4.9 (0.7), 4.8 (0.7), 4.9 (0.7), 5.0 (0.9), and 4.0 (0.5) for Car Part manufacture, Car Assembly, Ship Building, Heavy Machinery Manufacture, and Hospital Office, respectively. The results suggest that Korean male workers of exceeding to the NIOSH criteria will be needed to plan for job rescheduling to maintain $worker^{\circ}$Øs health. Further study to establish Korean work intensity standard would be needed.

지방의회 회의기록물 관리방안 연구 - 대전광역시 유성구 지방의회 사례를 중심으로 - (Research on Development of Management System for Local Council Assembly Records)

  • 지방의회 기록물은 지방의회가 의결기능, 집행기관 견제 감시기능, 주민대표기능 등의 기능을 수행하는 과정에서 생산된다. 지방의회 기록물 중에서, 가장 핵심적인 기록물은 회의기록물이다. 지방의회의 본질적인 기능이 의원 개개인과 의원들로 구성된 회의체의 활동을 통해서 수행되며, 지방의 법률과 정책을 심의, 토론, 표결하는 의결기관, 회의기관이라는 점에서, 의사결정과정의 결과물이 회의기록물이기 때문이다. 이에 본 논문은 지방의회의 회의기록물의 가치와 중요성을 인식하고, 현 관리 현황을 파악하여 이를 토대로 제도적 측면과 기록물관리 국제표준인 ISO 15489를 준거로 한 주요 기록관리 단계별 측면으로 나누어 지방의회 회의기록물의 체계적인 관리를 위한 개선방안을 각각 제언하였다.

Experimental Evaluation of Filter Performance of Depth Filter Media Cartridge with Varying the Pleat Count and the Cartridge Assembly Arrangement

  • A new depth filter media was designed and samples of flat sheet as well as cartridge assembly were prepared and tested to evaluate the filtration performance and compare with the commercial product. The arrangement of the depth filter media layers is important to reach the optimal filtration parameters like filter pressure drop, particle collection efficiency and dust holding capacity. Initially, both flat sheet samples of new media and commercial product have been tested using standard test units. Tests with new depth filter media cartridges of various pleat count were conducted in order to find the optimal pleat count which would represent the lowest pressure drop. These tests give an insight on how the pleat count and the assembly configuration affect the performance of the depth filter media cartridge. By comparing the samples with a commercial product we could confirm relatively high filtration performance of the sample cartridge with pleat count 150 made of new depth filter media. The cartridge with the same pleat count exhibits better performance without the outer mesh.

  • As the size scale of features continue to shrink in devices, the use of self-assembly, i.e. a "bottom up" approach, for device fabrication becomes increasingly important. Yet, simple self-assembly alone will not be sufficient to meet the increasing demands place on the registry of structures, particularly nanostructured materials. Several criteria are key in the rapid advancement and technology transfer for self-assembling systems. Specifically, the assembly processes must be compatible with current $^{\circ}{\infty}top\;down^{\circ}{\pm}$ approaches, where standard photolithographic processes are used for device fabrication. Secondly, simple routes must be available to induce long-range order, in either two or three dimensions, in a rapid, robust and reliable manner. Thirdly, the in-plane orientation and, therefore, ordering of the structures, must be susceptible to a biasing by an external, macroscopic means in at least one, if not two directions, so that individual elements can be accessed in a reliable manner. Block copolymers, specifically block copolymers having a cylindrical microdomain morphology, are one such material that satisfy many, if not all, of the criteria that will be necessary for device fabrication. Here, we discuss several routes by which these versatile materials can be used to produce arrays of nanoscopic elements that have high aspect ratios (ideal for templating and scaffolding), that exhibit long-range order, that give access to multiple length scale structuring, and that are amenable to being biased by macroscopic features placed on a surface.

터보펌프용 커빅커플링의 개발 (A Curvic-Coupling Development for the Turbopump Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 커빅커플링의 설계, 구조해석, 고온 비틀림시험 및 실형상 축-디스크를 제작/조립성 검토를 통해 터보펌프 터빈에의 적용 가능성을 타진하였다. 커플링의 치형은 Gleason 치형을 기본형상으로 하여 설계운용조건의 1.5배의 토크값을 기준으로 설계를 진행하였다. 구조해석 및 고온비틀림 시험을 통해 하중조건하의 안정성을 확인하였으며 특히 비틀림시험 후 커플링의 변형은 미미함을 확인하였다. 커빅커플링을 적용한 실형상 디스크 제작 및 조립시험을 통해 설계요구조건을 하회하는 디스크의 외주 및 축방향 흔들림 그리고 조립재현성을 확인하였다.
