Factory simulation based on shipbuilding CIM

  • This paper considers factory simulation based on shipbuilding CIM in which a computer integrated design and manufacturing system is considered. The author proposes the product model and several alterative functions for designing ship's structure, and develop a ship definition system for computer integrated design and manufacturing. This implemented system is called SODAS (System Of Design and Assembly for Shipbuilding). Object oriented concept is used to develop this system. As well as the product model, the design function cutting function, and virtual assembling function are introduced. By using the design function, any type of ship's structure can be designed. And also factory simulation can be carried out by using the cutting function and virtual assembling function.

  • This study aimed to examine the theoretical consideration and concept of hybrid that could be applicable to wood product design, to analyze design trend according to the morphological transformation by means of combination of hybrid material and function, to understand the correlation between type of wood product and materials and to apply it to the domestic and overseas hybrid concept of wood product design study. A study of assembling output by empirical experiment to embed natural resources into acrylic resin in order to develop wood products was carried out. And an wood product was suggested that satisfied lighting and hanger function through a new wood product design development combined with hanger function and lighting function. Through such process, a new design paradigm was suggested to cope with the periodic trend and to induce mass production of designed product. Thus, this study set a new guideline for activating wood product design and attempted to meet the social demand of encouraging new value creation.

Compound Loss Function of semantic segmentation models for imbalanced construction data

  • This study presents the problems of data imbalance, varying difficulties across target objects, and small objects in construction object segmentation for far-field monitoring and utilize compound loss functions to address it. Construction site scenes of assembling scaffolds were analyzed to test the effectiveness of compound loss functions for five construction object classes---workers, hardhats, harnesses, straps, hooks. The challenging problem was mitigated by employing a focal and Jaccard loss terms in the original loss function of LinkNet segmentation model. The findings indicates the importance of the loss function design for model performance on construction site scenes for far-field monitoring.

스트립된 바이너리에서 LSTM을 이용한 함수정보 추출 기법 (Extraction Scheme of Function Information in Stripped Binaries using LSTM)

  • 악성코드를 분석하여 방어하기 위해, 함수 위치 정보 등을 분석 방식으로 리버스 엔지니어링을 활용한다. 하지만, 스트립 된 바이너리는 함수 심볼 정보가 제거되어 함수 위치 등의 정보를 찾기가 쉽지 않다. 이를 해결하기 위해, BAP, BitBlaze IDA Pro 등 다양한 바이너리 분석 도구가 존재하지만, 휴리스틱을 기반으로 하므로 일반적인 성능이 우수하진 못하다. 본 논문에서는 재귀 하강 방식으로 역 어셈블리어에 대응되는 바이너리를 데이터로 N-byte 기법의 알고리즘을 제시해 LSTM 기반 모델을 적용하여 함수정보를 추출하는 기법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안 기법이 수행 시간과 정확도 면에서 기존 기법들보다 우수함을 보였다.

보간기법에 따른 해저지형의 정확도 분석 (An Analysis of Accuracy for Submarine Topographic Information by Interpolation Method)

  • Three-dimensional information of submarine topography was acquired by assembling DGPS and Echo Sounder, which is mainly used in the marine survey. However, the features of submarine topography, derived according to mechanical data, were confirmed using human eyes. Because the dredging capacity using a submarine surveying data influences harbor public affairs, analysis and the process method of surveying data is a very special element in construction costs. In this study, information on submarine topography is acquired by assembling DGPS and Echo Sounder. Moreover, the dredging capacity in harbor public affairs has been analyzed by the interpolation method: inverse distance to a power, kriging, minimum curvature, nearest neighbor, and radial basis function. Also, utilization of DGPS and Echo Sounder method in calculation of the dredging capacity have been confirmed by comparing and analyzing the dredging capacity and the actual one, as per each interpolation. According to this comparison result, in the case of applying Radial basis function interpolation and Kriging, 3.94 % and 4.61 % of error rates have been shown, respectively. In the case of the study for application of the proper interpolation, as per characteristics of submarine topography, is preceded in calculation of the dredging capacity relevant to harbor public affairs, it is expected that more speedy and correct calculation for the dredging capacity can be made.

The primary cilium as a multiple cellular signaling scaffold in development and disease

  • Primary cilia, single hair-like appendage on the surface of the most mammalian cells, were once considered to be vestigial cellular organelles for a past century because of their tiny structure and unknown function. Although they lack ancestral motility function of cilia or flagella, they share common ground with multiciliated motile cilia and flagella on internal structure such as microtubule based nine outer doublets nucleated from the base of mother centrioles called basal body. Making cilia, ciliogenesis, in cells depends on the cell cycle stage due to reuse of centrioles for cell division forming mitotic spindle pole (M phase) and assembling cilia from basal body (starting G1 phase and maintaining most of interphase). Ciliary assembly required two conflicting processes such as assembly and disassembly and balance between these two processes determines the length of cilia. Both process required highly conserved transport system to supply needed substance to grow tip of cilia and bring ciliary turnover product back to the base of cilia using motor protein, kinesin and dynein, and transport protein complex, IFT particles. Disruption of ciliary structure or function causes multiple human disorder called ciliopathies affecting disease of diverse ciliated tissues ranging from eye, kidney, respiratory tract and brain. Recent explosion of research on the primary cilia and their involvement on animal development and disease attracts scientific interest on how extensively the function of cilia related to specific cell physiology and signaling pathway. In this review, I introduce general features of primary cilia and recent progress in understanding of the ciliary length control and signaling pathways transduced through primary cilia in vertebrates.

표목의 기능에 관한 연구 (A study on the functions of headings)

  • 특정문헌의 검색기능은 기본표목만의 기능이 아니라 오히려 부출표목의 기능이라고 할 수 잇다. 특히 기계가독목록에서는 기본표목 이외에 각종 제어번호나 표준서지번호를 사용하여, 이 기능이 크게 확장되었다. 특정저자의 저작과 특정저작의 제판을 집중하는 목록의 기능도 부출표목과 참조, 주기, 통일서명이 기본표목과 대등한 역할을 수행하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 하이퍼목록에서는 서지적 관계유형을 규정하고 관련저작간을 연결할 수 있어, 기본표목을 배제하더라도 목록의 기능수행에는 아무런 영향을 주지 않는다. 접근점의 확장과 관련저록간의 연결수단을 통하여 이용자의 검색기회를 확대하는 것이 중요하다.

Interaction Between Acid-Labile Subunit and Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 Expressed in Xenopus oocytes

  • The acid-labile subunit (ALS) associates with insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I or -II and IGF binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) to form a 150-kD complex in the circulation. This complex is thought to regulate the serum IGFs by restricting them in the vascular system and promotes their endocrine actions. Little is known about how ALS binds to IGFBP3, which connects the IGFs to ALS. Xenopus oocyte was utilized to study the function of ALS in assembling IGFs into the ternary complexes. Xenopus oocyte was shown to correctly translate in vitro transcribed mRNAs of ALS and IGFBP3. IGFBP3 and ALS mRNAs were injected in mixture and their products were immunoprecipitated by antisera against ALS and IGFBP3. Contrary to the traditional reports that ALS interacts only with IGF-bound IGFBP3, this study shows that ALS is capable of forming a binary complex with IGFBP3 in the absence of IGF. When cross-linked by disuccinimidyl substrate, band representing ALS-IGFBP3 complex was evident on the PAGE. IGFBP3 movement was monitored according to the distribution between the hemispheres. Following a localized translation in the vegetal hemisphere, IGFBP3 was shown to remain in the vegetal half in the presence of ALS. Different from wild type IGFBP3, however, mutant IGFBP3 freely diffused into the animal half despite the presence of ALS. Taken together, this study suggests that ALS may play an important role in sequestering IGFBP3 polypeptides via the intermolecular aggregation. Studies using this heterologous model will lead to a better understanding of the IGFBP3 and ALS assembling into the ternary structure and circulating IGF system.

  • The performance loss as pressurized by inside components like GDL and bipolar plate happened when assembling the PEMFC stack with clamping force. Numerical analysis of Gasket was carried out to analyze distribution of clamping pressure about the inside components. In case of the gasket, Mooney-Rivlin model which is the Strain Energy Function was used for numerical analysis. This result made the stress distribution of bipolar plate to expect.

  • Nowadays domestic building market has undergone several changes. Labor costs are too high and materials are in short supply. These raised building costs and therefore lowered productivity. At this point it is the best way to reduce manual labor and find alternative materials that can improve productivity. In the building process form work take the most part of it. So many formwork systems were developed to reduce the construction period and labor cost. But their technical improvements just limited to adjust form shape-the role of form is not changed. This research developed a new formwork systems that can function to unify or minimze the unit process with cast-in-place type permanent form. In former study (reported in '97 spring seminar), we did the assembling test with column and beam clamps. Furthermore, In this paper, we examined the total systems of form erections and evaluated the structural performances.
