This study was examined relation to comprehensive needs and the quality of life in cancer patient. The Study period was 15 to 24 October 2012. The participants were 100 cancer patients more than 20 years old with cancer. Information and educational requirements are the highest need, and social support is the lowest one in patients with cancer. The longer survival time after diagnosis of cancer was, the higher social support requirements were needed. The Information and education requirement about healthy life showed higher in a family history of cancer. The cancer patients with stage IV ask higher service requirement significantly. and showed that physical and psychological requirements were getting higher, the quality of life became lower. As a result of this study, Physical and Psychological requirements were the most significant factors that affect the quality of life in cancer patients. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the physical and psychological supporting system and to provide appropriate Intervention for them.

This study analyzed the problem associated with inquiry centered science education and formulated some improvement Strategies for inquiry learning in the standard Korean high school course. In order to attain the goals of questionaire survey methods were used. To examine the current status of biology education, seperate questionaires were developed through an educational research and development procedure used for tearchers and student. The questionaires were developed to ask about instruction and evaluation methods, the level of inquiry learing and abstacles to it. Here are some of our results: 1) Biology instruction and learning is more knowledge-orinted than inquiry-orinted, 2) Inquiry approach in science teaching is hard to be applied because of crowed classroom conditions. 3) The material is too broad in range and too difficult in content. There is virtually nothing that can be related to everyday life. The material focusing on inquiry activities is unsatisfactorily selected and organized. 4) Effective methods of inquiry-based instruction and evaluation are not available. 5) Biology teachers are burdened with too many class hour a week and too many varieties of additional works. 6) 91.1% of biology teachers and 90.3% of students recognize that lab and field works are needed to enhance inquiry learning. However, in reality, such inquiry activities are lacking. 7) 73.3% of schools have no lab assistants. 8) The university entrance examination is the greatest factor against inquiry learning. 9) There are very few chances of in-service education for biology teachers to learn more about biology curriculum and science education theory.
As the materials being used in children's clothing become diverse, the number of reported problems related to various aspects of washing and wearing is increasing. Many customers experience great dissatisfaction when using these children's garments due to their lack of professional knowledge in washing, fabric, and detergents. Thus, this paper focuses on various cases in which housewives have experienced product damage after washing their children's garments according the prescribed directions. Of particular interest is how the consumers respond to such damage in garments and how their experiences with garment damage affect the sellers of these garments. A total of 292 housewives with children less than 8 years old living in Seoul responded to our survey, out of which 83 reported to have suffered negative consequences. By analyzing the 83 responses, the following results were found: First, the problems reported by the housewives in regards to washing children's garments were mostly related to the durability or color change problems. Secondly, the most favored means of response to garment damage were 'complaining directly to the seller' (16.7%) and 'complaining at the customer service department of the manufacturer or seller' (13.5%). Thirdly, among the actions they requested to the seller/manufacturer, 'ask for an exchange' marked the highest. Lastly, respondents admitted that their experiences with garment damage as well as the attitude or response of the manufacturer/retailer to their complaints would influence their repurchase intention.
This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting satisfaction and dissatisfaction of e-learning learner students using Kano model and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient. The results of the analysis showed that firstly, the students are highly satisfied when it is convenient to learn visually and audibly, when the students can ask questions at any time, and when the professor was interested in the students. Second, the rational criteria and accurate evaluation of grades and assignments were confirmed as factors that should be satisfied. Third, unlike the results of the basic study that the students use e-learning due to the convenience of learning time and learning space and the ease of learning process, it is no longer an attractive factor to use e-learning. The results of this study suggest that it is possible to present effective directions for the development of e-learning education and strategic application of each factor classified by the two-dimensional recognition method.
Objective: This study examined the use of mental health helping systems among college students in Korea. A behavioral model of health service utilization was applied to examine factors influencing different types of helping systems. Methods: A total of 454 college students from four universities participated in the survey. A self-administered questionnaire measuring help-seeking behaviors including formal health and mental health services, informal helping system, peer group, and family support was used. Results: Respondents frequently turn to family members and peer group when in need, and age, sex, mental Health status, and attitude and knowledge on mental illness were significant factors affecting help-seeking behaviors of Korean students. While older students and those with more severe symptoms were more likely to seek help from formal resources, students with more severe symptoms were less likely to seek help from informal resources. Male students and those with negative attitude toward mental illness were less likely to ask peer groups for help. Conclusions: Study results indicate that informal resources and peer groups can be significant sources of social support for individuals in their late adolescence and young adulthood, however, their role as gateways to professional help is limited. Student counseling centers should take on a more active role in reaching out; implications for developing peer leaders as counselors and self-help groups are discussed.
Purpose : This study was designed to examine physiological changes in the body of rescuers conduct CPR according to the 2005 new guideline from American Heart Association. The ratio of artificial respiration has changed from 15 : 2 into 30 : 2 in 2005. The researcher tried to know the correlation between the physiological changes and the accuracy of CPR. Method : The examinees of this study were 26 students (Dept. of Emergency Medical Service). After the training, participants conducted 10 minute CPR and soon after the CPR, their vital signs were checked, and lactic acid and concentration of ammonia were analysed from their blood samples. Questionnaires to ask their subjective fatigue level were filled out after blood samples and 10 minute - CPR was performed. Results : 1) After the CPR, concentrations of ammonia were $149.71{\mu}{\ell}/d{\ell}$ and $162.17{\mu}{\ell}/d{\ell}$ in 15 : 2 and 30 : 2, respectively. The number was higher in 30 : 2 but it wan not statistically meaningful (p = .493). Log value of lactic acid was a little higher in 30 : 2 with 42 log($mmol/{\ell}$) and 54 log($mmol/{\ell}$) in 15 : 2 and 30 : 2, respectively but it was not statistically meaningful (p = .113). 2) Blood pressure in 15 : 2 and 30 : 2 were 118.50 mmHg and 125.08 mmHg while pulse in two different cases were 96.14 and 97.25, showing no statistically significant differences (blood pressure : p = .155, pulse : p = .841). 3) Subjective fatigue was a bit high in 30 : 2 with 5.93 and 6.92 points in 15 : 2 and 30 : 2 respectively but it was not statistically meaningful (p = .142). 4) In the 10 minute CPR, respiration accuracy was 96.21% in 15 : 2 and 94.79% in 30 : 2. There was no statistical significances between the two(p = .225). In the meanwhile, chest compression accuracy was 92.57% in 15 : 2 and 91.83% in 30 : 2. From the beginning to the end of chest compression, there showed no difference(p = .425). the type of CPR did not influence upon the accuracy of chest compression(p = .756). Conclusion : In the CPR conducted by skilled rescuers for 10 minutes, there were no statistically meaningful differences between 15 : 2 and 30 : 2 in the concentration of fatigue element in a blood, subjective fatigue, vital signs and accuracy of CPR. Therefore, 30 : 2 CPR recommended by American Heart Association need to be recommended and performed in scene size up.
This paper describes a sound engine of Korean traditional instruments, which are the Gayageum and Taepyeongso, by using a TMS320F2812. The Gayageum and Taepyeongso models based on commuted waveguide synthesis (CWS) are required to synthesize each sound. There is an instrument selection button to choose one of instruments in the proposed sound engine, and thus a corresponding sound is produced by the relative model at every certain time. Every synthesized sound sample is transmitted to a DAC (TLV5638) using SPI communication, and it is played through a speaker via an audio interface. The length of the delay line determines a fundamental frequency of a desired sound. In order to determine the length of the delay line, it is needed that the time for synthesizing a sound sample should be checked by using a GPIO. It takes $28.6{\mu}s$ for the Gayageum and $21{\mu}s$ for the Taepyeongso, respectively. It happens that each sound sample is synthesized and transferred to the DAC in an interrupt service routine (ISR) of the proposed sound engine. A timer of the TMS320F2812 has four events for generating interrupts. In this paper, the interrupt is happened by using the period matching event of it, and the ISR is called whenever the interrupt happens, $60{\mu}s$. Compared to original sounds with their spectra, the results are good enough to represent timbres of instruments except 'Mu, Hwang, Tae, Joong' of the Taepyeongso. Moreover, only one sound is produced when playing the Taepyeongso and it takes $21{\mu}s$ for the real-time playing. In the case of the Gayageum, players usually use their two fingers (thumb and middle finger or thumb and index finger), so it takes $57.2{\mu}s$ for the real-time playing.
The purpose of this study was to examine whether senior simulation would bring any positive change to the attitude of dental hygiene students toward the elderly. The experimental group consisted of 58 dental hygiene students at a college. The experimental procedure was to do activities for 40 minutes wearing aging simulation suit. Self administered questionnaires were used to ask the attitude toward the elderly after senior simulation. The data were analyzed with SPSS program. General and aging related characteristics of subjects were analyzed through descriptive statistics. To testify the differences of the attitude after senior simulation, paired t-test was used. An experiment was conducted from May 27 to June 14, 2012, and the findings of the study were as follows: 1. There wasn't any perfect positive change in the overall attitude of the students toward elderly people after senior simulation, but their attitude got a little more positive whereas they took a neutral attitude in the past; 2. The students who had ever lived with elderly people under the same roof and who had ever received education related to the elderly underwent a more positive change in their attitude toward the elderly; 3. To what extent senior simulation was helpful for the understanding of the elderly was checked, and the majority replied that it was very useful or useful for the understanding of their physical aspects. The findings of the study confirmed that senior simulation didn't change the overall attitude of the students toward the elderly in a positive way yet brought about some positive changes in part. Therefore senior simulation is expected to be one of significant educational programs that could encourage students to have a better physical understanding of the elderly, to take a more positive attitude to them and to provide them with quality dental service.

At present, a variety of Korean news stories have been about important online content and its importance in the press is becoming higher. Diverse news from businesses are provided to the public as press releases through newspapers or broadcasting media. For such news to become information for a press release, enterprises visit reporters, use e-mails, faxes, or couriers to deliver the information. However, such methods have problems with time, human resources, expenses, and file damage. Also, with these methods it is bothersome for enterprises to check what has been released and for the press to make frequent contact with enterprises for interviews and for content to be released. Therefore, this study aimed to realize a distribution system which enterprises can use to distribute data to be released to the press and to easily check what is to be released while the press can ask for interview requests in a simple way, as well as a news gathering robot that can collects news on the enterprises involved from articles online or in portal sites.
In this paper, we designed and developed an Emotional Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) processor. Multi-speaker emotional speech synthesis technology that can express multiple voice colors and emotional expressions have been developed, and we designed Emotional SSML by extending SSML for multiple voice colors and emotional expressions. The Emotional SSML processor has a graphic user interface and consists of following four components. First, a multi-speaker emotional text editor that can easily mark specific voice colors and emotions on desired positions. Second, an Emotional SSML document generator that creates an Emotional SSML document automatically from the result of the multi-speaker emotional text editor. Third, an Emotional SSML parser that parses the Emotional SSML document. Last, a sequencer to control a multi-speaker and emotional Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine based on the result of the Emotional SSML parser. Based on SSML which is a programming language and platform independent open standard, the Emotional SSML processor can easily integrate with various speech synthesis engines and facilitates the development of multi-speaker emotional text-to-speech applications.
