Hybrid Intelligent Control for Speed Sensorless of SPMSM Drive (SPMSM 드라이브의 속도 센서리스를 위한 하이브리드 지능제어)

  • This paper is proposed a hybrid intelligent controller based on the vector controlled surface permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) drive system. The hybrid combination of neural network and fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of SPMSM using neural network-fuzzy(NNF) control and speed estimation using artificial neural network(ANN) Controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The back propagation mechanism is easy to derive and the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • We propose a intelligent controller for FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System) device to stabilize a power system. In order to identify the nonlinear characteristics of the power system and to estimate a control signal, an artificial neural network is utilized. The control signal which is provided for FACTS device installed in the network is produced. The proposed controller is applied to Unified Power Flow Controller(UPFC) to verified the effectiveness of the proposed control system. The results show that the proposed nonlinear FACTS controller is able to enhance the transient stability of three machine nine bus power system.

  • In this paper, recurrent artificial neural network (RNN) based self tuning speed controller is proposed for the high performance drives of induction motor. RNN provides a nonlinear modeling of motor drive system and could give the information of the load variation, system noise and parameter variation of induction motor to the controller through the on-line estimated weights of corresponding RNN. Thus, proposed self tuning controller can change gains of the controller according to system conditions. The gain is composed with the weights of RNN. For the on-line estimation of the weights of RNN, extended kalman filter (EKF) algorithm is used. Self tuning controller that is adequate for the speed control of induction motor is designed. The availability of the proposed controller is verified through the MATLAB simulation with the comparison of conventional PI controller.

  • This paper is proposed hybrid artificial intelligent controller for high performance of induction motor drive. The design of this algorithm based on fuzzy-neural network controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural network. The control performance of the hybrid artificial intelligent controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. The results of experiment prove that the proposed control system has strong high performance and robustness to parameter variation, and steady-state accuracy and transient response.

  • In this paper, we presents neural network identification and control of highly complicated nonlinear Left Ventricular Assist Device(LVAD) system with a pneumatically driven mock circulation system. Generally the LVAD system need to compensate nonlinearities. Hence, it is necessary to apply high performance control techniques. Fortunately, the neural network can be applied to control of a nonlinear dynamic system by learning capability. In this study, we identify the LVAD system with Neural Network Identification. Once the NNI has learned the dynamic model of LVAD system, the other network, called Neural Network Controller(NNC), is designed for control of a LVAD system. The ability and effectiveness of identifying and controlling a LVAD system using the proposed algorithm will be demonstrated by computer simulation.

  • As the model of most practical system cannot be obtained, the practice of typical control method is limited. Accordingly, numerous artificial intelligence control methods have been used widely. Fuzzy control and neural network control have been an important point in the developing process of the field. This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy-neural network based on the vector controlled interior permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system. The fuzzy-neural network is first utilized for the speed control. A model reference adaptive scheme is then proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed using fuzzy-neural network. Also, this paper is proposed estimation of speed of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor using artificial neural network controller.   • This research aims to seek active control of ball-beam position stability by resorting to neural networks whose layers are given bias weights. The controller consists of an LQR (linear quadratic regulator) controller and a neural networks controller in parallel. The latter is used to improve the responses of the established LQR control system, especially when controlling the system with nonlinear factors or modelling errors. For the learning of this control system, the feedback-error learning algorithm is utilized here. While the neural networks controller learns repetitive trajectories on line, feedback errors are back-propagated through neural networks. Convergence is made when the neural networks controller reversely learns and controls the plant. The goals of teaming are to expand the working range of the adaptive control system and to bridge errors owing to nonlinearity by adjusting parameters against the external disturbances and change of the nonlinear plant. The motion equation of the ball-beam system is derived from Newton's law. As the system is strongly nonlinear, lots of researchers have depended on classical systems to control it. Its applications of position control are seen in planes, ships, automobiles and so on. However, the research based on artificial control is quite recent. The current paper compares and analyzes simulation results by way of the LQR controller and the neural network controller in order to prove the efficiency of the neural networks control algorithm against any nonlinear system.

  • Now is an automation age. Therefore it is required that machine can do work which was done by men. Artificial Neural Network was developed by the necessity of this purpose. This paper shows a Predictive Control with a Neural Network. The Neural Network learns an Inverted Pendulum in various situations. Then, it has a power to predict the next state after accept the current state. And the Neural Network directs the Bang-Bang Controller to give input to a plant. It seems like that a human expert looks the state of a plant and then controls the plant. It is used a Feedforward Neural Network and shown control state according to the learning. We could get a satisfactory results after complete learning.

  • This paper is proposed design of high performance controller of SynRM drive using FNN and NNC. Also, This paper is proposed of designing fuzzy neural network controller(FNNC) which adopts the fuzzy logic to the artificial neural network(ANN). FNNC combines the capability of fuzzy reasoning in handling uncertain information and the capability of neural network in learning from processes. This controller is controlled speed using FNNC and model reference adaptive fuzzy control(MFC), and estimation of speed using ANN. The performance of proposed controller was demonstrated through response results. The results confirm that the proposed controller is high performance and robust under the variation of load torque and parameters.
