천장형 설비의 배치 설계를 위한 해법의 개발 (Algorithms on layout design for overhead facility)

  • Overhead facility design problem(OFDP) is one of the shortest rectilinear flow network problem(SRFNP)[4]. Genetic algorithm(GA), artificial immune system(AIS), population management genetic algorithm (PM) and greedy randomized adaptive search procedures (GRASP) were introduced to solve OFDP. A path matrix formed individual was designed to represent rectilinear path between each facility. An exchange crossover operator and an exchange mutation operator were introduced for OFDP. Computer programs for each algorithm were constructed to evaluate the performance of algorithms. Computation experiments were performed on the quality of solution and calculations time by using randomly generated test problems. The average object value of PM was the best of among four algorithms. The quality of solutions of AIS for the big sized problem were better than those of GA and GRASP. The solution quality of GRASP was the worst among four algorithms. Experimental results showed that the calculations time of GRASP was faster than any other algorithm. GA and PM had shown similar performance on calculation time and the calculation time of AIS was the worst.

Negative Selection Algorithm for DNA Pattern Classification

  • We propose a pattern classification algorithm using self-nonself discrimination principle of immune cells and apply it to DNA pattern classification problem. Pattern classification problem in bioinformatics is very important and frequent one. In this paper, we propose a classification algorithm based on the negative selection of the immune system to classify DNA patterns. The negative selection is the process to determine an antigenic receptor that recognize antigens, nonself cells. The immune cells use this antigen receptor to judge whether a self or not. If one composes ${\eta}$ groups of antigenic receptor for ${\eta}$ different patterns, these receptor groups can classify into ${\eta}$ patterns. We propose a pattern classification algorithm based on the negative selection in nucleotide base level and amino acid level. Also to show the validity of our algorithm, experimental results of RNA group classification are presented.

  • Errors in the semiconductor process are generated by a change in the state of the equipment, and errors usually arise when the state of the equipment changes or when parts that make up the equipment have flaws. In this investigation, we anticipated that aging of the mass flow controller in the plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition SiO2 thin film deposition method caused a minute flow rate shift. In seven cases, fourier transformation infrared film quality analysis of the deposited thin film was used to characterize normal and pathological processes. The plasma condition was monitored using optical emission spectrometry data as the flow rate changed during the procedure. Preprocessing was used to apply the collected OES data to the artificial immune system algorithm, which was then used to process diagnosis. Through comparisons between datasets, the learning algorithm compared classification accuracy and improved the method. It has been confirmed that data characterized as a normal process and abnormal processes with differing flow rates may be discriminated by themselves using the artificial immune system data mining method.

  • The purpose of navigation algorithm is to reach a given target point without collision with obstacles while an autonomous mobile robot is navigating. To achieve a safe navigation, this paper presents an effective navigation algorithm for the autonomous mobile robot equipped with ultrasonic sensors in unknown environments. The proposed navigation algorithm consists of an obstacle-avoidance behavior, a target-reaching behavior and a fuzzy-based decision maker. In the obstacle-avoidance behavior and the target-reaching behavior, artificial immune networks are used to select a proper steering angle, make the autonomous mobile robot avoid obstacles and approach a given target point.   • This paper proposes a distributed autonomous control method of swarm robot behavior strategy based on artificial immune system and an optimization strategy for artificial immune system. The behavior strategies of swarm robot in the system are depend on the task distribution in environment and we have to consider the dynamics of the system environment. In this paper, the behavior strategies divided into dispersion and aggregation. For applying to artificial immune system, an individual of swarm is regarded as a B-cell, each task distribution in environment as an antigen, a behavior strategy as an antibody and control parameter as a T-cell respectively. The executing process of proposed method is as follows: When the environmental condition changes, the agent selects an appropriate behavior strategy. And its behavior strategy is stimulated and suppressed by other agent using communication. Finally much stimulated strategy is adopted as a swarm behavior strategy. In order to decide more accurately select the behavior strategy, the optimized parameter learning procedure that is represented by stimulus function of antigen to antibody in artificial immune system is required. In this paper, particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to this learning procedure. The proposed method shows more adaptive and robustness results than the existing system at the viewpoint that the swarm robots learning and adaptation degree associated with the changing of tasks.

Emergent damage pattern recognition using immune network theory

  • This paper presents an emergent pattern recognition approach based on the immune network theory and hierarchical clustering algorithms. The immune network allows its components to change and learn patterns by changing the strength of connections between individual components. The presented immune-network-based approach achieves emergent pattern recognition by dynamically generating an internal image for the input data patterns. The members (feature vectors for each data pattern) of the internal image are produced by an immune network model to form a network of antibody memory cells. To classify antibody memory cells to different data patterns, hierarchical clustering algorithms are used to create an antibody memory cell clustering. In addition, evaluation graphs and L method are used to determine the best number of clusters for the antibody memory cell clustering. The presented immune-network-based emergent pattern recognition (INEPR) algorithm can automatically generate an internal image mapping to the input data patterns without the need of specifying the number of patterns in advance. The INEPR algorithm has been tested using a benchmark civil structure. The test results show that the INEPR algorithm is able to recognize new structural damage patterns.

Kinematic GPS Positioning with Baseline Length Constraint Using the Maximum Possibility Estimation Method

  • Based on the possibility theory and the fuzzy set, the Maximum Possibility Estimation method and its applications in kinematic GPS positioning are presented in this paper. Firstly, the principle and the optimal criterion of the Maximum Possibility Estimation method are explained. Secondly, the kinematic GPS positioning model of single epoch single frequency with baseline length constraint is developed. Then, the authors introduce the artificial immune algorithm and use this algorithm to search the global optimum of the Maximum Possibility Estimation model. The results of some examples show that the method is efficient for kinematic GPS positioning.

  • This paper presents an artificial life algorithm which is remarkable in the area of engineering for functions optimization. As artificial life organisms have a sensing system, they can find the resource which they want to find and metabolize. And the characteristics of artificial life are emergence and dynamic interaction with environment. In other words, the micro-interaction with each other in the artificial lifes group results in emergent colonization in the whole system. In this paper, therefore, artificial life algorithm by using above characteristics is employed into functions optimization. The optimizing ability and convergent characteristics of this proposed algorithm is verified by using three test functions. The numerical results also show that the proposed algorithm is superior to genetic algorithms and immune algorithms for the multimodal functions.

Improvement of Three Mixture Fragrance Recognition using Fuzzy Similarity based Self-Organized Network Inspired by Immune Algorithm

  • To improve the recognition accuracy of a developed artificial odor discrimination system for three mixture fragrance recognition, Fuzzy Similarity based Self-Organized Network inspired by Immune Algorithm (F-SONIA) is proposed. Minimum, average, and maximum values of fragrance data acquisitions are used to form triangular fuzzy numbers. Then the fuzzy similarity treasure is used to define the relationship between fragrance inputs and connection strengths of hidden units. The fuzzy similarity is defined as the maximum value of the intersection region between triangular fuzzy set of input vectors and the connection strengths of hidden units. In experiments, performances of the proposed method is compared with the conventional Self-Organized Network inspired by Immune Algorithm (SONIA), and the Fuzzy Learning Vector Quantization (FLVQ). Experiments show that F-SONIA improves recognition accuracy of SONIA by 3-9%. Comparing to the previously developed artificial odor discrimination system that used FLVQ as pattern classifier, the recognition accuracy is increased by 14-25%.

  • According as many people use a computer newly, damage of computer virus and hacking is rapidly increasing by the crucial users. To block hacking that is intrusion of a person's computer and the computer virus that destroys data, a study for intrusion-detection of system and virus detection using a biological immune system is in progress. In this paper, we make a model of positive selection and negative selection of self-recognition process that is ability of T-cytotoxic cell that plays an important part in biological immune system. So we embody a self-nonself distinction algorithm in computer. To prove the efficacy of self-recognition algorithm, we use simulations by a cell change and a string change of self file.
