한국산 팥꽃나무과의 화분형태학적 연구 (Pollen morphology of Thymelaeaceae in Korea)

  • 한국산 팥꽃나무과(Thymelaeaceae Adans.)의 1속(아마풀속: 1종)을 제외한 4속(팥꽃나무속: 4종, 삼지닥나무속 1종, 피뿌리풀속 1종, 산닥나무속 2종)의 화분을 광학현미경(LM)과 주사전자현미경(SEM)으로 관찰하였다. 화분의 크기는 $11.3-60.0{\mu}m$로 소립(피뿌리풀속)에서 중립(팥꽃나무속, 산닥나무속), 대립(삼지닥나무속)까지 다양하게 나타났다. 조사된 분류군의 화분은 모두 단립으로 구형이고, 발아구의 형태는 산공형(10-20개)이다. 외표벽의 표면 무늬는 다소 차이는 있지만 삼면각(trihedral)의 부속요소(subunit)들이 원으로 배열하여 망상의 전형적인 "croton pattern"을 가지고 있다. 모든 부속요소의 중앙에는 하나의 미세돌기가 있고 부속요소의 표면은 평활상(psilate)이다. 팥꽃나무속 화분은 부속요소의 배열에 따라 세가지 유형으로 구별되어진다; (1) Type I: 부속요소들이 서로 붙어서 원을 이루고 부분적으로 연결이 끊어져 있는 형태, (2) Type II: 하나의 독립된 부속요소가 세 개의 면이 뚜렷한 삼면각을 이루는 형태, (3) Type III: 각 부속요소는 독립적으로 존재하나 뚜렷하지 못한 형태. 또한 한국산 팥꽃나무과에 대한 화분형질의 분류학적 적용에 대하여 간단하게 검토하였다.

아이덴티티를 표현하는 노인가정의 소유물 배치패턴 사례연구 (A Case Study of Possession Display Pattern as a Mean of Self-identity Expression in Older People's Households)

  • What is the meaning of home to older people? How much is home significant for older people? How do they express self-identity through decorating their own homes? These are the new subjects that scholars in the West are involved in lately in terms of micro-perspective (George, 1998; Kellett, Gilroy & Jason, 2005; Gilroy & Kellett, 2006). It is evident that home has more significant meaning to older people than other age groups, since the older are more likely to spend greater time within the home through lower income, lessening mobility or loss of companions (Gilroy, 2005). Also the older tend to cling to their homes and attach to possessions than the younger. Older people's possessions are the things that memories of their lives were absorbed. Therefore, possession display can role as a mean of showing their past lives and memories. Gilroy and her colleagues (2005, 2006) found that there was a certain pattern of possession display in English older people's households, and that older people would like to express self-identity through decorating their own homes with their precious possessions. Then, isn't it interesting to find out if there is any pattern of possession display or decoration items in Korean older people's households as well? Thus, the aim of this study is to describe pattern of possession display as a mean of expressing self-identity in Korean older people's households. Interview with older people was used to find out the way and reason of display possessions. Observation method including taking photos and hand-drawings was also added in order to demonstrate detail condition of display items in the house. Possessions display and furniture arrangement in the living room and bedroom were investigated to find out a certain pattern of display and meaning. Research objects were healthy older people aged over 60, who are living independently from their adult children, and who can manage housekeeping by themselves. 32 households were investigated in the area of Seoul, Kyunggi, Chungchungnam, and Kangwon provinces. The findings demonstrate that most precious possession for Korean older people is photo of themselves; especially one taken in their younger age. The reason of it is because the photo reminds them of their heydays when they were vital. Photo of the most beloved one is displayed more frequently in the bedroom than in the living room indicating consistence with English case. As symmetrical display pattern was dominant in case of English older people's households, no dominant display pattern is found in Korean case. Korean older people also cling to their homes and possessions and want to keep their dwelling space as large as what they use now. It is notable that even after they become older and frail, they want sufficient space to display possessions as a mean of self-identity expression. Attachment to possessions and decoration can give older people significant meaning of identity, and it is the reason why architects or interior designers have to meet older people's needs. It needs consideration that residents are allowed to bring their old furniture and precious possessions when they move in elderly housing unit in order to minimize environmental shock, as well as feeling at home. This subject could suggest a clue to designers or architects who have to meet residents' needs in space design of elderly housing or facilities in the future. Psychological well-being of older people can be met by making them feel at home wherever they live. They need space where they can express their own identity and personality even in case when they have to live in a limited small space like elderly housing unit or nursing home.

벼속(Oryza) 잎의 식물규소체 표징형질 (Some opal phytoliths diagnostic characters of Oryza leaves)

  • 벼속(Oryza) 잎의 식물규소체에 대한 분류학적 연구의 일환으로 표징형질을 정립하고 검색표를 작성하고자 광학현미경과 주사전자현미경을 사용하였다. 벼의 잎에서 가장 다양한 형태의 규소체를 형성했던 기공장치규소체, 장세포규소체 그리고 단세포규소체 등을 대상으로 엽신 배축면의 동일한 위치에 형성된 종류를 집중적으로 조사하였다. 이들 규소체의 특징은 속내 분류체계의 설정과 종을 동정하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있었다. 기공장치규소체는 공변세포와 부세포 상의 유두상돌기 유래 규소체의 발달 유무와 배열 양상의 특징이 다양하게 나타났고, 이들의 특징은 절 및 계열 수준에서 기존 분류체계와 일치하였다. 장세포규소체는 표면에 유두상돌기의 발달 유무, 배열양상 및 형태 등에 따라 다양한 형태가 확인되었다. 그러나 확인된 특징이 본 속내 기존 분류체계와 일치하기보다는, 종의 동정에 유용한 것으로 생각되었다. 단세포규소체는 모두 형판규소체로 십자형, 안장형, 이완형 그리고 3완형 등이 확인되었으며, 이들의 특징은 절 및 계열 수준에서 계통학적으로 의의가 있었다. 또한 단세포규소체가 맥상표피역에 밴드를 형성하는 종류와 밴드를 형성하지 않는 종류, 유관속 종류에 따른 맥상표피역 규소괴의 밴드 수 그리고 맥간표피역에 안장형 규소체의 발달 여부 등에 따라 다양한 종류가 확인되었으나, 이들의 특징이 속내 분류체계와 일치하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 조사된 기공장치규소체, 장세포규소체 그리고 단세포규소체 등의 특징에 따라 각각 검색표를 작성하였고, 각 형질의 특징과 속내 분류계급과 비교하여 계통학적 의의를 논의하였다.

  • 육·해상 풍력 프로젝트 성공여부는 사업의 경제성 확보에 중점을 두고 있으며, 이는 양질의 풍력자원 확보와 풍력단지 최적배치에 의해 좌우된다. 풍력단지를 배치하는 과정에서 주풍향을 고려한 풍력터빈들의 최적배치 방법이 중요하며, 이는 풍상측에 위치한 구조물을 통과하는 유체가 발생시키는 후류영향을 최소화시키는 것과 연관이 있다. 후류효과 예측성의 정확도는 이를 적절히 모의할 수 있는 후류모델과 모델링 기법에 의해 결정되어지며, 특히 산악 및 다도해지역과 같은 복잡지형에서는 고해상도 기반의 정확한 후류예측이 필수적으로 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 상용 CFD 모델인 WindSim을 활용하여 국내 산악 복잡지형에 위치한 육상풍력단지 예정지의 후류모델별 민감도 분석을 통해 후류확산 형태를 분석하고 향후 복잡지형 풍력발전 프로젝트의 기초연구 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

공주지역 여대생의 지방 섭취 양상 조사 (Patterns of Dietary Fat Intake by University Female Students Living in Kongju City: Comparisons among Groups Divided by Living Arrangement)

  • This study was aimed at examining the pattern of dietary fat intake of 120 university female students living in Kongju city in order to provide baseic data for establishing the dietary grideline of desirable fat intake. The subjects were divided into three groups according to living arrangenment ; family home(FH), or dormitory(DM), or self-boarding house(SB). Fat consumption of subjects was surveyed by two-day food records, and profiles of fatty acid and cholesterol taken were calculated based upon the data reported their contents of foods. The result was that mean daily fat intake was 42$\pm$2g for FH, 48$\pm$4g for DM and 41$\pm$3g for SB. The calorie intake by fat was 20.8, 21.5, and 20.4% respectively. The ratio of P/M/S was 1.3/1.7/1 for FH, 1.3/1.6/1 for DM and 1, .5/1.5/1 for SB. And the ratio of n-6/n-3 fatty acid was 5.2/1 for FH, 8.3/1 for DM and 7.2/1 for SB. Daily cholesterol intake was 208$\pm$20mg for FH, 223$\pm$29mg for DM and 251$\pm$27mg for SB. In addition, intake of n-3 fatty acid was 1.2$\pm$0.2g for FH, 0.9$\pm$0.1g for DM and 1.2$\pm$0.2g for DB. Considering the food source of fatty acids, saturated fatty acid and monounsaturated fatty acid were taken primarily from animal foods, especially milk and milk products, and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid was taken from vegetable oils and fats. As a major source of n-3 fatty acid, linolenic acid was obtained through vegetable oils and fats, and eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid were provided by fishes and their products. There patterns of fatty acid intakes did not differ according to living arrangement. The above results showed that intakes of fat and cholesterol, and ratios of P/M/S and n-6/n-3 fatty acid were overall desirable in all groups. However, intake of n-3 fatty acid was low in all groups. Therefore, consumption of perilla oil, legumes and fishes as a source of n-3 fatty acid should be increased by substituting other food source which provide fats and oils because calorie intake by fat was enough in these subject.

  • 인테리어 패널은 실내 벽체의 마감 디자인에 많이 활용되고 있으며 패널들의 배치로 형성되는 다양한 패턴은 장식적 효과뿐만 아니라 정보전달의 역할도 한다. 설계자가 원하는 디자인에 따라 패널을 배치하는 것은 반복되는 작업을 요구하는데 본 연구는 패널배치 과정의 체계화를 통해 자동화를 지원하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인테리어 패널의 활용 특징을 고려하여 패턴표현에 관한 이론적 고찰을 진행하고 이를 바탕으로 비트맵 이미지 픽셀과 인테리어 패널의 형태 변화를 이용한 세 가지 패널배치 패턴 표현 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 제안한 방법의 실제 적용 가능성 검증을 위해 제안한 세 가지 방법 중 비트맵 이미지 픽셀과 인테리어 패널의 유형속성을 이용한 패턴표현 방법을 적용하여 BIM기반 설계를 지원하는 인테리어 패널 자동배치 도구를 구현 하였다. 이는 물량정보나 패널 배치순서와 같은 시공단계에 활용 가능한 정보의 자동생성도 지원하여 설계자 및 시공자의 작업효율 향상에 도움이 된다. 또한 본 연구에서 제안한 인테리어 패널 자동배치 패턴표현 방법은 바닥 타일과 같은 기본단위의 반복을 요구로 하는 다양한 장식객체의 배치에도 활용 가능할 것으로 기대 된다.

  • 뼈는 단계별 (hierarchical) 구조를 가진 복합 재료이며 독특한 구조와 기계적 특성 때문에 재료공학 분야에서 많이 연구되어져 왔다. 뼈는 주로 hydroxyapatite, 콜라겐과 물로 구성된 층판형 유 무기 재료 복합체이다. 주요 무기물로써 hydroxyapatite로 잘 알려진 calcium phosphate를 통하여 뼈는 특유의 강도를 유지하게 된다. 본 실험에서는 광학 현미경(LM)과 투과전자현미경(TEM)을 이용하여 토끼와 닭 대퇴골의 구조를 연구하였다. 구성물질 분석은 대퇴골의 calcium, potassium, oxygen 분포 변화를 알아보는데 이용하였다. 실험은 두 구조 범위에 중점을 두었다: micro scale에서 치밀골의 배열을, nano scale에서 콜라겐 섬유와 apatite 결정을 관찰하였다. Micro scale에서 닭과 토끼 대퇴골 구조의 뚜렷한 차이점이 발견되었다. Nano scale에서는 apatite 결정의 모양과 크기 그리고 콜라겐의 배열을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 토끼와 닭은 종이 다름에도 불구하고 nano scale에서는 화학성분과 구조가 매우 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

  • As the current stage of the fashion begins to follow the styles of the past the study on he past costume is getting more importance and as the methodology of the study the accurately ap-proached study through the rehabilitation of the past costume is more needed than the simple re-arrangement of the historical documents. By this methodology this study can be positioned as a re-creation activity. The results of the study are as follows. 1) Style: The S-line silhouette remains be-cause of the straight silhouette or the blossom style bodice. This dress has various types of sil-houette but generally it forms one silhouette and is one-piece. 2) color and Material: The material varies hile the color is divided as the main color of ivory and the stress color of brown. This shows not only that the material has been varied but also that they tried to reduce the monotony. 3) Pattern and Sewing: The simple external figure and the previous stage typically shows the movement to the simplicity of the contemporary and the num-ber of patterens is plenty and the sewing method is also complex. 4) Detail. To overcome the simplicity of the style and to show the characteristics of the afternoon dress the skunk fur the net the sash, and the bow are used. 5) Structural Characteristics: The front open-ing the back opening and the side opening coexists in one-pieced dress and this forms unique structure and complex fastening device. The ribbon tape and casing not only finish the seam but also fix the shape of the dress. Synthetically the 1913-14 afternoon dress has the characteristics of transitional stage in which the characteristics of the costume of 1910s and the remnants of the characteristics of the pre-vious costume style and shows the character-istics of afternoon dress well in terms of the ma-terial the structure and the detail.

Kalanchoe속의 기관 부위별 표피구조와 기공유형 (Epidermal Structure and Stomatal Types in Various Parts of Each Organ of Kalanchoe)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the epidermal structure, the stomatal types, the ontogeny of stomara in various parts of each organ of K. blossfeldiana, K. kewensis, and K. tometosa belonging to Kalanchoe. The epidermal cells were polygonal or isodiametric ones in the leaves, and mostly rectangular, tetragonal, and elongated ones in the leaves, and mostly rectangular, tetragonal, and elongated ones in the other organs. The candelabrum-like, triradiate stellete trichomes in the aerial parts of all organs of K. tomentosa were found. The cuticular striations and square crystals of calcium oxalate in the epidermal cells of petals of K. blossfeldiana were observed. The great majority of the mature stomata in various parts of all the organs were commonly helicocytic types. This type was subdivided into three subtypes such as parahelicocytic, anomohelicocytic, and dianisocytic stomata on the basis of the division angle of the guard mother cells. Somethies, the anisocytic type was found in most organs. This type was subdivided into three subtyes such as paranisocytic, nomoanisocytic, and dianisocytic stomata in the same way as the helicocytic type. A new stomataltype with anisocytic stoma within a girdle of four subsidiary cells of tetracytic type in the leaf of K. kewensis was firstly observed in the vascular plants. This type was termed the coaniso-tetracytic type. The anomomeristic pattern in the mesogenous category of stomatal types was found in various organs of all the material plants. Developmental mode of stomata was constant in all the parts of each organ within the same plant. The stomata was observed to be a few similar stomatal types in various parts of each organ within the same plant. The ontogeny of all the types is eumesogenous or mesogenous type. The ontogenetic type of stomata was mostly helico-eumesogenous type in all the organs of all the material plants. The mature stoma varied from organ to in regard of the number and arrangement of subsidiary cells.

Study on the mixing performance of mixing vane grids and mixing coefficient by CFD and subchannel analysis code in a 5×5 rod bundle

  • Mixing Vane Grid (MVG) is one of the most important structures in fuel assembly due to its high performance in mixing the coolant and ultimately increasing Critical Heat Flux (CHF), which avoids the temperature rising suddenly of fuel rods. To evaluate the mixing performance of the MVG, a Total Diffusion Coefficient (TDC) mixing coefficient is defined in the subchannel analysis code. Conventionally, the TDC of the spacer grid is obtained from the combination of experiments and subchannel analysis. However, the processing of obtaining and determine a reasonable TDC is much challenging, it is affected by boundary conditions and MVG geometries. In is difficult to perform all the large and costing rod bundle tests. In this paper, the CFD method was applied in TDC analysis. A typical 5 × 5 MVG was simulated and validated to estimate the mixing performance of the MVG. The subchannel code was used to calculate the TDC. Firstly, the CFD method was validated from the aspect of pressure drop and lateral temperature distribution in the subchannels. Then the effect of boundary conditions including the inlet temperature, inlet velocities, heat flux ratio between hot and cold rods and the arrangement of hot and cold rods on MVG mixing and TDC were studied. The geometric effects on mixing are also carried out in this paper. The effect of vane pattern on mixing was investigated to determine which one is the best to represent the grid's mixing performance.
