Numerical Simulation of Transonic Flow Region about ONERA M6 Wing (ONERA M6 3차원 날개에 대한 천음속 유동해석)

  • Three-dimensional transonic flows over the ONERA M6 wing have been computed by many researchers as a benchmark test case. The flow is attractive since it involves $\lambda$-shaped shock on the upper wing at certain Mach numbers. Because of this well-known circumstance, present study is also required of us to study the effect of various turbulent models as well as the computational accuracy through a data exchange program with the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) of the U.S. Air Force. As a first attempt, the transonic flow at M=0.84, $\alpha=3.06^{\circ}$, Re=11.72E6 is tackled and the CFDS code demonstrates its compatibility with both experimental data and the results of WIND code available in the open domain.

  • The present study describes a one-dimensional modeling of encapsulated ice storage tanks. The thermal transmittance of capsules in this model uses the results from the Arnold's experimental $study^{(2-3)}$.In this model, ice storage tank is partitioned by several control volumes for the analysis, each having same number of capsules. The model is validated by the comparison of the measured data from an ice storage tank installed at a building with the capacity of 1200 ton-hrs and the simulated results with the same inlet brine temperature conditions into the tank.

  • 비점원오염은 하천 및 지하수 수질오염에 많은 기여를 하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있는 반면에 우리나라에서는 비점원오염에 관한 연구는 상대적으로 미약한 것으로 지적되고 있다. 본 기사에서는 비점원오염에 대한 이해를 증진하고 현장실험연구를 활성화하는 데 기여하기 위하여 미국 등의 선진국에서 실행하고 있는 현장실험방법을 경지단위의 연구, 유역단위의 연구, 그리고 지하수 수질에 관한 연구로 구분하여 고찰하였다. 비점원오염에 관한 현장연구방법, 연구시 중요사항, 고려하여야 할 사항 등에 관한 자료는 'Gale, J.A., D.   • In this paper, we propose a method to avoid obstacles that have unstable limit cycles in a chaos trajectory surface. We assume all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface have a Van der Pol equation with an unstable limit cycle. We also show computer simulation results of Arnold equation, Chua's equation, Hyper-chaos equation, Hamilton equation and Lorenz chaos trajectories with one or more Van der Pol obstacles.

  • 본 연구에서 미디어의 생산과 소비가 어떻게 사람들을 리미널한 형태로 사람들을 끌어들이는지 살펴보았다. 즉 미디어 생산의 주체 혹은 인기 있는 프로그램의 미디어 소비는 급격한 의식의 이탈을 만들어낸다. 2011년에 시작한 프로그램, '나는 가수다' 이후 지상파, 종합편성, 케이블채널에 음악프로그램, 특히 대중가요 중심의 노래 프로그램들이 대거 만들어졌다. 현재 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 '판타스틱 듀오'와 '나는 가수다' 속에 들어있는 제의적 속성인 리미널러티현상을 반 게넵(Arnold van Gennep)의 '통과의례'에 나타나는 전이 단계와 빅터 터너(Victor Turner)의 이론을 토대로 분석하였다. '전이'의 단계에 제의의 주체들은 사회적인 지위나 문화적인 상태의 속성들을 거의 가지고 있지 않은 일종의 사회적인 중간상태(social limbo)를 통과하게 된다. 미디어 이벤트로서의 리미널러티, 시청자, 가수와 도전자, 청중평가단의 일체감으로 일어나는 인지, 정서적 느낌과 그로 인한 코뮤니타스, 반구조((anti-structure) 상태를 분석하였다. 그리고 그 이후에 오는 위로와 위안 그리고 공감으로 이어지는 사회문화적 현상을 살펴보았다.

Non-square colour image scrambling based on two-dimensional Sine-Logistic and Hénon map

  • Image scrambling is an important technology in information hiding, where the Arnold transformation is widely used. Several researchers have proposed the application of $H{\acute{e}}non$ map in square image scrambling, and certain improved technologies require scrambling many times to achieve a good effect without resisting chosen-plaintext attack although it can be directly applied to non-square images. This paper presents a non-square image scrambling algorithm, which can resist chosen-plaintext attack based on a chaotic two-dimensional Sine Logistic modulation map and $H{\acute{e}}non$ map (2D-SLHM). Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has advantages in terms of key space, efficiency, scrambling degree, ability of anti-attack and robustness to noise interference.

  • Inhibition of platelet aggregation by colchicine, thiocolchicine, O-demethylated and 3-glucosidic congeners was measured in vitro. 2-And 3-demethylated analogs of colchicine and thiocolchicine were found tobe as potent as colchicine and thiocolchicine, respectively, whereas 1-demethylated compounds were found to be considerably less active. Both glucosides, colchicoside and thiocolchicoside, were not very active in this assay. 2, 3-Didemethylcolchicine, which is much less toxic than colchicine, showed similar inhibitory effects on platelet aggregation as colchicine.

  • Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease receive a range of treatments including but not limited to inhaled bronchodilators, inhaled and systemic corticosteroids, supplemental oxygen, and pulmonary rehabilitation. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary intervention that seeks to combine patient education, exercise, and lifestyle changes into a comprehensive program. Programs 6 to 8 weeks in length have been shown to improve health, reduce dyspnea, increase exercise capacity, improve psychological well-being, and reduce healthcare utilization and hospitalization. Although the use of pulmonary rehabilitation is widely supported by the literature, controversy still exists regarding what should be included in the programs. The goal of this review was to summarize the evidence for pulmonary rehabilitation and identify the areas that hold promise in improving its utilization and effectiveness.

  • Compositions and thermal changes of pyrrhotites from Ohtani and Uljin mines were examined by Arnold's method and DTA analysis. The results are as follow: 1) The compositions of hexagonal type pyrrhotite are in some range from 47.23-47.42 atom.% Fe in the Ohtani mine, and 47.40-47.64 atom.% Fe in the Uljin mine. 2) The compositions of hexagonal pyrrhotite with exsoluted lamellae of monoclinic pyrrhotite are in 47.35-47.50 atom.% Fe in the Ohtani mine, and 47.15-47.40 atom.% Fe in the Uljin mine. This fact does not agree with phase diagrams of Fe-S system shown by Nakazawa and Morimoto(1970) and Sugaki and Shima(1977). 3) DTA data show two endothermic peak corresponding to ${\gamma}$ and $\beta$ transformation. Sturctural conversions from order(intermediate) to disorder(high) forms occur at about $300^{\circ}C$ for hexagonal type and further lower temperature with increasing Fe-content.
