Korean-peacekeeper's transparent armors in Iraq showed delamination, cracking and clouding a decade ago. And there were also similar deterioration recurrences in KLTV during the operational test a few years ago. Also, the differences between operational capability & lab Bullet-proof test condition, and insufficiency of military protection spec resulted in incomplete bullet-proof results. Moreover, although so many ground weapon systems have been developed, there were not secure test & evaluation codes to verify transparent armoured glasses equal to advanced-overseas products. So in this study, first, environmental test codes were established that all tests should be carried out as the application of only one specimen with newly adopted thermal shock test instead of completing each test with different one. Second, protection standards were integrated through the analysis of global developed country's specifications and reinforced as adding to the real mock-up condition if vehicle's glasses are smaller than standard specimen. Hereby, by applying to test-codes which including actual operational & vehicular conditions, the gap between development test and operational environment was minimized.
The purpose of this study was to present a new research method of stage costume by designing and making the stage costume of Yean-GaeSoMoon(淵蓋蘇文) in Peking Opera Du Mu Guan (Korean; Dog Mog Guan, 獨木關). The stage costume of Peking Opera was formed on the basis of the Chinese traditional stage costume in the Qing period, however the style of stage costume was beautified the costume of Ming period and here contained the factors of successive costumes. But the stage costume of Peking Opera didn't have the same rank system with real history costume and didn't have demarcation according to period and history. In the stage costume of Peking Opera, the color is cultural language that can inform spectators of sex, age, personality, position of characters. The pattern of decoration also symboled the personality and characteristic of the character. Yean-GaeSoMoon in the play wore green armour (Chinese; ru ying kao 綠硬靠), red pants (Chinese; hong ku 紅褲), red mustache (Chinese; hong ran kou 紅髥口), crown (Chinese; da e zi 大額子), shoes (Chinese; hou di xue 厚底靴) and Xue RenGui wore white armour (Chinese; baikao 白靠), red pants (Chinese; hong ku 紅褲), shoes (Chinese; hou di xue 厚底靴), hat (Chinese; za jin 扎巾). By historical materials, Yean-GaeSoMoon was a nationalist who uphold national sprit and the greatest hero of the age and a charismatic politician who combines literatural arts with military arts. Considering these reviews, defined the thema of his new costumes' image as "the flying bird which has three legs"(三足鳥), the bird which symbolized the sun and immortality in Koguryo fresco. On the basis of this image, presented three types of Yean-GaeSoMoon's stage costume. Yean-GaeSoMoon as the minister in the court wore black gown (Chinese; mang pao 蟒袍) of dargon pattern which symbolizes harisma who opening the heaven. He as the general who directs war wore red mantle (Chinese; dou peng 斗蓬) which symbolizes the blue dragon that soaring into the sky, as the officer who fights the enemy's general wore green armour (Chinese; gai liang jia 改良甲), red pants (Chinese; hong ku 紅褲) which symbolizes the flying Sward that blowing violently. By wearing these stage costumes, the image of Yean-GaeSoMoon could changed from the fierce general of minority race who likes to fight, to the Koguryo general who fights against enemy at the risk of his life for Koguryo's autonomy. Through this study once again we could realized that stage costume played very mportant part In outstnding the characteristic of actor in the Peking Opera.
Impact resistance and weight are important features for ballistic materials. Kevlar fibres are the most widely reinforcement for military and civil systems due to its excellent impact resistance and high strength-to-weight ratio. Kevlar fibres or spectra fiber composites are used for designing personal body armour to avoid perforation. In this study, the ballistic impact behaviour of Kevlar/filled epoxy matrix is investigated. Three different fillers, nanoclay, nanocalcite and nanocarbon, were used in order to increase the ballistic impact performance of Kevlar-epoxy composite at lower weight. The filler, nanoclay and nanocalcite, content employed was 1 wt.% and 2 of the epoxy resin-hardener mixture while the nanocarbon were dispersed into the epoxy system in a 0.5%, 1% and 2% ratio in weight relating to the epoxy matrix. Specimens were produced by a hand lay-up process. The results obtained from ballistic impact experiments were discussed in terms of damage and perforation. The experimental tests revealed a number of damage mechanisms for composite laminated plates. In the ballistic impact test, it was observed whether the target was perforated completely penetrated at the back or not. The presence of small amounts of nanoclay and nanocalcite dispersed into the epoxy system improved the impact properties of the Kevlar/epoxy composites. The laminates manufactured with epoxy resin filled by 1 wt.% of nanoclay and 2 wt% nanocalcite showed the best performance in terms of ballistic performance. The addition of nanocarbon reduced ballistic performance of Kevlar-epoxy composites when compared the results obtained for laminates with 0% nanoparticles concentration.

This paper presents an observer to measure the lengths of cylinders of an underwater robot for harbour construction using a pressure sensor. In harbour constructing, we place heavy armour stones weighing over 2~3 tons on the surface of the bank to protect it from storming wave. This work typically done by a diver is difficult and dangerous so that we have developed Stone Diver which is the underwater robot for harbour construction. The robot needs a position sensor to control the hydraulic cylinder. The position sensors mounted outside the cylinders cause poor durability in construction site where shock and dust usually occur. However, the pressure sensor mounted inside a waterproof box improves the durability. Based on the dynamic parameters and the pressures in the cylinder, the observer measures the cylinder's position. This paper presents the positional accuracy of the pressure based observer and the performance of the underwater robot to assemble the armour stones.

This paper is a study of clothing recorded in$\boxDr$Shin Ching$\boxUl$.$\boxDr$Shin Ching$\boxUl$is the oldest poetry, which written in early west-Zhou to mid Spring and Autumn Period. In this book, clothing is classified with men's women's and fabrics. But only the men's costume is included in this paper, and others will be studied later. As a result, men's clothing includes Qui, Mian Fu, Bian Fu, Yi Shang, Po, Ze, the armour, the belt ornaments, the hair ornaments and the hair styles, the shoes. 1. Qui is depicted at 11 poetries. It's materials are sheep, wolf, bear etc. The materials and color are differentiated according to the class. 2. Mian Fu is depicted at 20 poetries. There are depictions about the embroidered black garment and a red skirt, and also about inner blouse, Chong er, Chi xi etc. 3. Bian Fu is depicted at 5 poetries and there are three types. 4. Yi Shang is depicted at 9 poetries and classified with two types. One is twp piece style, and the other is one pieced style. 5. Po and Ze is depicted at 1 poetry. Po is sa long coat with lining and Ze is a under-wear. The armour and the helmet are depicted at 2 poetries. 6. The belt ornaments are classified with two styles. One is decorational and the other is practical. At 7 poetries they are depicted. 7. The hair ornaments includes a hat and a hair style. Also, the shoes are depicted and there are two styles. Two reliability models, AFDA(Approximate Full Distribution Approach) and Monte-Carlo simulation method, are directly developed to study on both hydraulic failure mode of berm recession and structural failure mode of armour breakage of berm breakwaters. By comparing the present results with the results of other researcher, it may be confirmed that two reliability models can be straightforwardly applicable to berm breakwaters. Relative influence of each random variable on hydraulic and structural failure probabilities could be properly analyzed. The upper bound and the lower bound of failure probability can be evaluated by using bi-modal bounds of the multiple failure mode analysis, from which it may be possible to investigate some kinds of dependence into between two failure modes. Finally, it may also be found that the structural failure mode of armour breakage could become a main failure mode of berm breakwaters in the condition of more than any allowable berm recession.

Hydraultic experiments were performed in 2-D were flume to investigate the stability o the breakwaters, the destruction of armor blocks and overtopping under irregular wave attack on the structures armored by \`Core-Loc\`. Overtopping rate and stability were examined and compared when armored by Core-Loc and by T.T.P. Results shows both type of blocks are stable and overtopping rates are similar in the adopted experimental condition. Therefore Core-Loc can replace some portion of T.T.P. which is uniquely used in Korea. Further integrated experimental data with Core-loc are need for destruction mechanism or overtopping rate.

The impact of a long-rod penetrator into oblique plates with combined obliquity and yaw is investigated. The study was done using a newly developed three dimensional dynamic and impact analysis code, which uses the explicit finite element method. Through the comparison of simulation result with experimental result and other code's result, the adaptability and accuracy of the developed code is evaluated under the complex situation in which yaw angle and oblique angle exist simultaneously. As a result of comparison, it has found that deformed shape, residual length and velocity, rotational velocity of long-rod show good agreement with experimental data. Through this study, the applicability and accuracy of the code as a metallic armour system design tool is verified.
