Private archives are an important indicator of understanding a society that contains various memories, the lives and experiences of members, daily lives, morality, and values. Recently, as diversity has emerged as an important value in Korean society, a number of individuals and communities have been appeared based on different bases and purposes, and the contents, types, and categories of private archives produced from their voluntary activities have also diversified. These private organizations and communities are potential targets for producing and holding private archives, but most of them do not have the minimum infrastructure or system for management of archives, and the foundation for management of archives is weak only to be supported with the voluntary will and activities of the private sector. Therefore, there is a need for a plan to support activities to manage archives suitable for each organization's level while respecting the unique characteristics and methods of the private sector within the national management system of archives. In addition, since it is difficult to solve all issues related to management of archives in the private sector with only a small number of process topics, a cooperative system should be established to sustain activities to manage archives on its own through networks between private sectors. In this study, we intend to propose a 'private archives information network platform (hereinafter referred to as a platform)' as a way to establish a communication and network foundation between private sectors and share resources with each other. Based on the results of analysis of cases of building network between private sectors and expected user requirements, we would like to establish a vision and target model of the platform and discuss ways to continuously operate the platform.
Since presidential overseas trips are carried out as the head of state representing the Republic of Korea, the resulting records of such trips have high academic and historical significance and value both in contemporary times and for future generations. This study analyzes the status of production and service of overseas trip records, focusing on whether the records of the president's overseas trips are being produced properly and provided sufficiently to the public, and examines development plans for improvement. Currently, as a result of examining a total of 282 overseas trips provided by the Presidential Archives website, it is difficult for users to understand which records are being produced for even the basic records regarding the trips are not posted. In addition, the website is provider-centered, making users feel alienated rather than being considered in terms of search and provided records. In this study, for the production of high-quality overseas travel records, the "Presidential Overseas Trip Records Production Guidelines" established during the 'Participatory Government' will be supplemented, improved and applied. This archive policy will not be subject to any external variables, including changes in the government, and is suggested that it be consistent and unaffected. In addition, in order to improve the service provided, the following is proposed: first, provision of 'comprehensive information' that allows users to understand the overall context of the trip; second, use of the "file-record" layer and hyperlink function; third, a system that allows the stages of production and service of overseas trip records to be interconnected. In order to carry out these tasks, it would be essential to establish and operate an organization dedicated to records, such as the Secretariat of Archives and Records Management during the 'Participatory Government' period.
Museums are producing new value and being redefined as places that reproduce context, as the process of globalization are being reflected in museum activities. The new additional functions and roles to the traditional mission of museums allow artworks to find potential functions of art archive and meseum. At the same time, the public has faced originality and aura of an artwork by viewing the physical subject. However, with the appearance of a new digital object, the initiative of viewing has moved over from the artwork to the hands of the public. Now, the public does not go to the museum to see an artwork, but has started to adopt to an opposite paradigm of bringing the artwork forward to the screen. Therefore, they are not satisfied any longer with just seeing an artwork, but demand more information about the artworks and reproduce it as knowledge. Therefore, this study aimed to find types and characteristics through definition and range selection of art archive at this point where the value of art archive is enhanced and systematic management is required, and to present record management methods according to art archive structure and core execution function. It especially stressed that the basis of overall art archive definition was in an 'approach' paradigm rather than a 'preservation' paradigm, and embodied various application methods of digitalized art records. The digital object of an artwork was recognized as the first materialization of an actual artwork, and the digital original of an artwork was presented as the core record. Art archive managed under physical and intellectual control were organically restructured focusing on digital original copies of artworks, which are the core record in a digital technology environment, and could be provided to users in forms of various services that meet their demands. The beginning of systematic management of such art records will become a first step to enhance historical value, establish art cultural identity, and truly possess art culture.
The actual conditions of the labor unions are primitive. First, there is no good records management regulation. At this research, I found it that most regulations of the labor unions were all the same. I think they have been copied a kind of one of originality. Second, the definition of records were very narrow, like documentary evidence. Third, the classification, filing, disposal regulations are the below level of the public institution in 1970s. Fourth, there are no standards of the records scheduling for the labor records. What kind of labor records have the historical values? I could not find, only the documentary evidence value. So, I think The actual conditions of the labor unions are primitive. I investigated the collections of the Southern Labor Archives in USA. There were many kind of records. For example, the records of regional labor unions also central labor unions, pamphlets, journals, photos, personal records, oral history, organizational records like protocols article of associations internal rules, minute books etc. Like this the collections of the Southern Labor Archives in USA are very various. But our actual conditions of the labor unions is far from that. Rather, we just have tried collected records for publishing the white papers. But this habitual practice would not be desirable. Because they must manage the records from the producing time. Mostly, 'laborer history HANNAE' were organised, and they are trying the collecting and management of the labor records. Also They are trying the computerizing, compilation. 'HANNAE' has the condition for the transformation of the labor archives. But if they want to be really, they must make the records management infra and so, should normalize the record management firstly. For example, They must be keep the standardized records management regulations, records scheduling redesigned. the developing standard model for the records management. And they have the vision for the hub of the labor archives. When coming to this, it will be realized the labor archives Now the records for the working class are disappearing. The managing the records for the labor is another labor movement. All together should join it. But I think the supporting of the archival science research colleagues will be the essential part.
Records of architectural cultural properties, in case of accidents, show who are to blame, present what evidences are to establish the cause, and also are used for checking if there were any problem in policies and regulations in preserving and caring architectural cultural properties. These records are of great importance in their roles and are of essential use regardless of time and space. Considering its significance, In that architectural cultural properties requires setting clear goals and directions and as well, criteria, for management, we need methods of systematical control and consideration for its characteristics. This research started with the sense of purpose that managing architectural cultural properties are in need of systematic and concrete control, based on the perception that they need protecting and transmitting. The goal of this thesis is to work on the current archiving status of architectural cultural properties by monitoring patterns and processes in archival administration, to diagnose problems by looking into the records creation and management, and to present the improvement plan which would lead to the architectural cultural properties' more efficient management and better use in the future. The management of architectural cultural properties begins with registering and assigning. Cultural Heritage Administration is in charge of control, supervision, and budget and local governments deal with direct management. Accordingly, records are by the hands of each local governmental body. Currently, each cultural property has its management depending on every different working environment in each governmental body. Architectural cultural properties needs managing in one body through the synthetic and unified, concrete and systematic manual and guide for management. Archiving architectural cultural properties have need of unitive management through a professional system, considering the physical characteristics and history of archiving. Unified management system will enhance efficiency and actual use of architectural cultural property records if one governmental body undertakes uniting records through standardization and professional supervision, and data-based unified search engine would enhance efficiency and actual use. Therefore, I suggest that Archives for Architectural Cultural Properties should be established as a professional Archives and wholly responsible body for the purpose of systematically and unifiedly managing architectural cultural property records with professional personnel and facility and transmitting their historical, cultural, and academic value. In Korea, studies up to the present have mainly focused on managing architectural records and records of drawing while few efforts were made to directly deal with managing architectural cultural properties themselves. The focus of this thesis is to study the current status and establish problems of the management of architectural cultural properties in administrative process, and as a result, to propose to establish Archives for Architectural Cultural Properties as a professional archives.
The Korean government ranked 3rd among 193 UN member countries in the UN's 2022 e-Government Development Index. Korea, which has consistently been evaluated as a top country, can clearly be said to be a leading country in the world of e-government. The lubricant of e-government is data. Data itself is neither information nor a record, but it is a source of information and records and a resource of knowledge. Since administrative actions through electronic systems have become widespread, the production and technology of data-based records have naturally expanded and evolved. Technology may seem value-neutral, but in fact, technology itself reflects a specific worldview. The digital order of new technologies, armed with hyper-connectivity and super-intelligence, not only has a profound influence on traditional power structures, but also has an a similar influence on existing information and knowledge transmission media. Moreover, new technologies and media, including data-based generative artificial intelligence, are by far the hot topic. It can be seen that the all-round growth and spread of digital technology has led to the augmentation of human capabilities and the outsourcing of thinking. This also involves a variety of problems, ranging from deep fakes and other fake images, auto profiling, AI lies hallucination that creates them as if they were real, and copyright infringement of machine learning data. Moreover, radical connectivity capabilities enable the instantaneous sharing of vast amounts of data and rely on the technological unconscious to generate actions without awareness. Another irony of the digital world and online network, which is based on immaterial distribution and logical existence, is that access and contact can only be made through physical tools. Digital information is a logical object, but digital resources cannot be read or utilized without some type of device to relay it. In that respect, machines in today's technological society have gone beyond the level of simple assistance, and there are points at which it is difficult to say that the entry of machines into human society is a natural change pattern due to advanced technological development. This is because perspectives on machines will change over time. Important is the social and cultural implications of changes in the way records are produced as a result of communication and actions through machines. Even in the archive field, what problems will a data-based archive society face due to technological changes toward a hyper-intelligence and hyper-connected society, and who will prove the continuous activity of records and data and what will be the main drivers of media change? It is time to research whether this will happen. This study began with the need to recognize that archives are not only records that are the result of actions, but also data as strategic assets. Through this, author considered how to expand traditional boundaries and achieves reterritorialization in a data-driven society.

As information and communication technologies have been developed, digital records are getting more important. Discussions on managements and archival value of digital records such as e-mail and data set have been undertaken. Furthermore, frequency of digital communication tools usage has been increasing in agencies and has gained recognition as official records. Accordingly, this study aims to deal with importance of instant messenger records and proposes effective management model of instant messenger records. We performed comparative analysis of management records which are related to instant messenger in national archives of United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Korea and interviewed workers in agencies. Using this results, we propose effective and meaningful model for managing instant messenger records for workers in agencies.

Medical images are an effective means to identity medical abnormalities.. Patients typically have medical images taken at different clinics during lifetime, and they often wish to have second interpretation on medical images showing substantial diseases. At present, since personal medical images are distributed to multiple clinics, there is a bit discomfort that patients directly bring their images by hands to get the second interpretation from another physician. With these two motivations, we design a cloud service for archiving medical images and interpreting medical images by physicians. We present the design and implementation of the service, and show its practical value as low-cost personal healthcare service. By using the service, patients can retrieve and review their medical images anytime and have a convenience of acquiring second opinions on their medical images at low-cost without visiting a clinic.

Social Network Service (SNS) has gained great popularity. Recently, facebook has been used most active. Most of government ministries of Republic of Korea operates facebook. In the case of facebook, it takes advantages of possibilities to inform the direction of policy to aggregate opinions of people for issues. Information gained from facebook has a very important value to be reflected in the policy or to understand public opinions. Long-term storage for this information should be considered. In the case of overseas, tools for long-term storage of documentary facebook have recently been developed. However, it does not save all the data in facebook and ignores the principles for long-term storage. These tools are limited to a simple backup. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how to reproduce, store and collect facebook page records of the government ministries.

The National Assembly record is considered one of the most valuable public records because it has great value as a historical evidence of democracy. Therefore, it is not only used as a reference or evidence for work, but also used for academic purposes. Academic information users can improve their intellectual skills in our society, lead to indirect innovation, and provide customized services to them, which can increase the continuous viewing and utilization rate of records management institutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to propose a plan to activate the academic information service of the National Assembly Records Preservation Center, which is in charge of the National Assembly records. To this end, interviews were conducted with practitioners in charge of literature research, case studies, and services at the National Assembly Archives and users of academic information. It proposed improving awareness of the National Assembly Archives, strengthening online services, and customized user services.
