Two new species of litter-inhabiting leptonetid spiders in mountainous region from Korea are described: Leptoneta chilbosanensis sp. nov. from Mt. Chilbosan, Gyeonggi-do, and Leptoneta naejangsanensis sp. nov. from Mt. Naejangsan, Jeollabuk-do from Korea.

Tow unrecorded species of orb weavers belonging to genus Neoscona(Araneae: Araneidae) which were recently described from China for the first tiem were described from Korea. Korean spiders belonging to genus Neoscona, therefore, becomes 10 species with 8 recorded species.

Gongylidioides kaihotsui Saito and Ono, 2001 and Mermessus naniwaensis (Oi, 1960) of Linyphiidae are described from Korea with taxonomic illustrations. The genera Gongylidioides Oi, 1960 and Mermessus O.P.-Cambridge, 1899 are newly recorded genera to Korean spider fauna.

A new species of Theridiidae, Carniella coreana sp. nov., is described and illustrated from Korea. The male of this newly described species is most similar to Carniella tsurui Ono, 2007 in the general shape of its palp, but can be distinguished by the winding structure of the embolus and broad tipped and twisted embolic apophysis. The genus Carniella Thaler & Steinberger, 1988 is newly recorded to Korean spider fauna.

Linyphiidae Blackwall, 1859 is one of the most diverse and largest families within the order Araneae Clerck, 1757. Of the currently 60 valid species of the genus Neriene Blackwall, 1833 worldwide, 10 species are distributed in Korea. The males of the new sheet-web spider Neriene bovista sp. nov. were recently collected with a sweep net between the shrubs of mixed forests from the hilly valley with well conserved nature in Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do (the middle east coast region) during a seasonal survey of the spider fauna in hilly terrains in 2017-2018. The present study describes a new sheet-web spider, Neriene bovista sp. nov. with a diagnosis, detailed description, morphological illustrations, and a distribution map from Korea. The new species has a characteristic mushroom-like tip of the terminal apophysis, the truncated tip of anterior projection, and the bifurcated lateral projection of the lamella compared to the congeners of the genus Neriene Blackwall, 1833.

Philodromidae Thorell, 1869 is one of the most diversified and largest families comprising 522 species in 29 genera within the order Araneae Clerck, 1757. The genus Thanatus C. L. Koch, 1837 comprise 99 species of the family and four species of the genus Thanatus (Philodromidae) have been recorded in Korea: T. coreanus Paik, 1979, T. miniaceus Simon, 1880, T. nipponicus Yaginuma, 1969, and T. vulgaris Simon, 1870. Two females of T. arcticus Thorell, 1872 were collected by sweep net between the shrubs in mountainous mixed forests from Mt. Chiaksan National Park, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do and Mt. Naejangsan National Park, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. The present study describes T. arcticus with measurements and taxonomic illustrations.

A male Spheropistha melanosoma Yaginuma, 1957 from Korea in the family Theridiidae Sundevall, 1833 is described with measurements and morphological photos of the diagnostic characteristics. This species was collected with a sweep net around arable lands in a mountainous mixed forest during the investigation of spider fauna on Ulleungdo Island in 2019.

The present study describes Philodromus paiki sp. nov., which was previously misidentified as P. fuscomarginatus (De Geer, 1778), P. poecilus (Thorell, 1872), and P. spinitarsis Simon, 1895 in Korea, as a new species with diagnosis, detailed descriptions, and taxonomic photographs. Additionally, P. spinitarsis is also described to correct previous misidentifications of Korean records of the species.

There are five known species of the genus Tmarus (Thomisidae) in Korea to date: Tmarus horvathi Kulczyn'ski, 1895, Tmarus koreanus Paik, 1973, Tmarus orientalis Schenkel, 1963, Tmarus piger (Walckenaer, 1802) and Tmarus rimosus Paik, 1973. Two females of Tmarus yaginumai Ono, 1977, which was previously only known in Japan, were collected by sweep net between the shrubs at hillocks near the coast of Korea and are described with taxonomic illustrations.

Arctosa yasudai (Tanaka, 2000) and Pardosa isago Tanaka, 1977 belonging to Lycosidae were captured by pitfall trap in rice field and apple orchard during the intensive survey of arthropod fauna of agricultural ecosystem in Korea. Taxonomic descriptions for two species are presented with diagnostic illustration.
