PCB 생산라인에서의 호이스트 스케쥴링을 위한 유전자알고리즘의 응용

  • In this paper, the problem of determining cyclic schedules for a material handling hoist in the printed-circuit-board(PCB) electroplating line is considered. The objective of this research is to determine an optimal simple-cycle schedule of the hoist which in turn maximizes the line throughput rate. Previous approaches to the cyclic hoist scheduling problem are all mathematical programming-based approaches to develop cyclic schedules(Mixed Integer Programming, Linear Programming based Branch and Bound, Branch and Bound Search Method and so on). In this paper, a genetic algorithm-based approach for a single hoist scheduling in the PCB electroplating line is described. Through some experiments for the well known example data and randomly generated data, the proposed algorithm is shown to be more efficient than the previous mathematical programming-based algorithm.

불확실성 하에서 최대후회 최소화 분해 계획 (Minmax Regret Approach to Disassembly Sequence Planning with Interval Data)

  • Disassembly of products at their end-of-life (EOL) is a prerequisite for recycling or remanufacturing, since most products should be disassembled before being recycled or remanufactured as secondary parts or materials. In disassembly sequence planning of EOL products, considered are the uncertainty issues, i.e., defective parts or joints in an incoming product, disassembly damage, and imprecise net profits and costs. The paper deals with the problem of determining the disassembly level and corresponding sequence, with the objective of maximizing the overall profit under uncertainties in disassembly cost and/or revenue. The solution is represented as the longest path on a directed acyclic graph where parameter (arc length) uncertainties are modeled in the form of intervals. And, a heuristic algorithm is developed to find a path with the minimum worst case regret, since the problem is NP-hard. Computational experiments are carried out to show the performance of the proposed algorithm compared with the mixed integer programming model and Conde's heuristic algorithm.

  • The objective of this paper is to present a methodology for design of the FMS by using a new modeling tool which is called SE&TPN(Safe Extended & Timed Petri Net). A FMS, which consists of various machine groups, may produce machine parts in different physical dimensions and lot size. The approach involves the SE&TPN modeling by Petri-nets. The proposed algorithm can handle determining of firing count vector by incidence matrix and adjustment of conflict using the marking of SE&TPN. The SE&TPN is defined as nets that can have at most one token in one place and can have elements such as permissive arcs and inhibitor arcs in addition to elements. The SE&TPN with permissive arcs and inhibitor arcs are intuitively direct approach to increase the modeling power of the SE&TPN. Finally, this paper is to develop a modulation to optimize the system problems of FMS using SE&TPN which describes exactly features of Petri Nets.

A neural network model to assess the hysteretic energy demand in steel moment resisting frames

  • Determining the hysteretic energy demand and dissipation capacity and level of damage of the structure to a predefined earthquake ground motion is a highly non-linear problem and is one of the questions involved in predicting the structure's response for low-performance levels (life safe, near collapse, collapse) in performance-based earthquake resistant design. Neural Network (NN) analysis offers an alternative approach for investigation of non-linear relationships in engineering problems. The results of NN yield a more realistic and accurate prediction. A NN model can help the engineer to predict the seismic performance of the structure and to design the structural elements, even when there is not adequate information at the early stages of the design process. The principal aim of this study is to develop and test multi-layered feedforward NNs trained with the back-propagation algorithm to model the non-linear relationship between the structural and ground motion parameters and the hysteretic energy demand in steel moment resisting frames. The approach adapted in this study was shown to be capable of providing accurate estimates of hysteretic energy demand by using the six design parameters.

외향 기반 환경 인식을 사용한 이동 로봇의 위치인식 알고리즘 (Localization of a mobile robot using the appearance-based approach)

  • 본 논문에서는 외향 기반 접근법을 기반으로 한 로봇의 위치 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우선, 제안한 알고리즘은 주성분 분석(PCA: Principal Component Analysis)을 이용하여 취득한 영상들을 eigenspace로 투영시킴으로써 영상을 압축한다. 추출된 주성분은 eigenspace에서의 연속 외향 함수(continuous appearance function)로 나타낼 수 있다. 신경 회로망은 로봇의 위치추정을 위해 새로운 영상이 주어지면 이것을 eigenspace로 투영 시킨 후 연속 외향 함수를 통해 로봇의 현재 위치를 추정한다. 최종적으로는, 영상안의 데이터에 칼만 필터를 적용함으로써 로봇의 정확한 위치를 추정할 수 있다. 제안한 알고리즘을 실제 이동 로봇에 탑재하여 적용시킨 결과 로봇의 위치를 정확히 추정할 수 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents a technique for estimating the attitude of a model helicopter at near hovering using a combination of inertial and non-inertial sensors such as gyroscope and potentiometer. To estimate the attitude of helicopter a simplified indirect Kalman filter based on sensor modeling is derived and the characteristics of sensors are studied, which are used in determining the optimal Kalman gain. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm simulation results are presented with real flight data. Our approach avoids a complex dynamic modeling of helicopter and allows for an elegant combination of various sensor data with different measurement frequencies. We also describe the method of implementation of the algorithm in the model helicopter.

  • This study suggests an approach for determining fleet size for container road transportation with dynamic demand in Korea. With the forecasted monthly container transportation data a year, a heuristic algorithm is developed to determine the number of company-owned trucks, mandated trucks, and rented trucks in order to minimize the expected annual operating cost, which is based on the solution technologies used in the aggregate production planning and the pickup-and-delivery problem. Finally the algorithm is tested for the problem how the trucking company determines the fleet size for transporting containers.

  • This study suggests an approach for determining fleet size for LTL (less -than-truckload) transportation with dynamic demand for on-time supply of the parts between the assembly line in an automobile company and its part suppliers in Korea. The vehicles operated by the transportation trucking companies in Korea in general can be classified into three types depending on the ways how their expenses occur; company -owned truck, mandated truck which is owned by outsider who entrusts the company with its operation, and rented truck (outsourcing) . With the forecasted monthly production data a year, a heuristic algorithm is developed to determine the number of company-owned trucks, mandated trucks, and rented trucks in order to minimize the expected annual operating cost, which is based on the solution technologies used in the aggregate production planning and vehicle routing problem. Finding the Maximally Inscribed Rectangle in a Robots Workspace

  • In this paper we formulate an optimization based approach to determining the maximally inscribed rectangle in a robots workspace. The size and location of the maximally inscribed rectangle is an effective index for evaluating the size and quality of a robots workspace. Such information is useful for, e. g., optimal worktable placement, and the placement of cooperating robots. For general robot workspaces we show how the problem can be formulated as a constrained nonlinear optimization problem possessing a special structure, to which standard numerical algorithms can be applied. Key to the rapid convergence of these algorithms is the choice of a starting point; in this paper we develop an efficient computational geometric algorithm for rapidly obtaining an approximate solution suitable as an initial starting point. We also develop an improved version of the algorithm of Haug et al. for calculating a robots workspace boundary.

영재 교육 개념을 응용한 직선도의 최소영역 평가 (Minimum Zone Evaluation of Straightness Using the Genius Education Concept)

  • The criteria for determining the elements are the minimum zone method(MZM) and the least squares method(LSM). The LSM is deterministic and simple but is limited at the measurements whose errors are significant compared with form errors. For the precise condition, minimum zone method(MZM) has been selected to determine the elements. It is not deterministic and nonlinear so that a optimizing procedure is needed. The Straightness is the fundamental problem in the evaluating form error. In this paper, a new approach adapting the genius education concept is proposed to obtain an accurate results for the minimum zone problem of the straightness. Its computational algorithm is studied on a set of randomly generated data. To be of almost no account of the specification(the number and the standard devistion etc.) of the sample data, the results shows excellent reliability and high accuracy in estimating the straightness.
