열차제어용 표준 통신 프로토콜의 안전 특성 분석 및 평가 (Safety Characteristics Analysis of Korean Standard Communication Protocol for Railway Signalling)

  • The communication protocol for interface among railway signalling systems is designed and established as national standard in Korean from a few years ago. So the communication link for information transmission among railway signalling system can be a good example of application of this standard. Communication protocol which is standardized among Korean railway signalling is considered to apply information transmission. And we confirmed there is no the states of deadlock of livelock in std. protocol which is applied formal verification which is one of the analytic method for inspection of safety characteristics in the design course of protocol. But the safety of protocol has to necessarily accomplish this normal analysis approach about satisfying requirement matters with such this analytic approach. In this paper we analyzed the safety characteristics of standard protocol for Korean Railway signalling through the requirement matters for safety transmission of railway transmission system which is required in international standard. So through this study we confirm whether it satisfies safety requirement matters of the level which require in international standard and tried to confirm whether standard protocol has enough safety character in the real railway field.

An Intelligent MAC Protocol Selection Method based on Machine Learning in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • Wireless sensor network has been widely used in Internet of Things (IoT) applications to support large and dense networks. As sensor nodes are usually tiny and provided with limited hardware resources, the existing multiple access methods, which involve high computational complexity to preserve the protocol performance, is not available under such a scenario. In this paper, we propose an intelligent Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol selection scheme based on machine learning in wireless sensor networks. We jointly consider the impact of inherent behavior and external environments to deal with the application limitation problem of the single type MAC protocol. This scheme can benefit from the combination of the competitive protocols and non-competitive protocols, and help the network nodes to select the MAC protocol that best suits the current network condition. Extensive simulation results validate our work, and it also proven that the accuracy of the proposed MAC protocol selection strategy is higher than the existing work.

  • BACnet is a standard data communication protocol for building automation and control systems. MS/TP is most widely used LAN protocol for data communication among field devices in the BACnet-based building automation. In this study, the performance of MS/TP protocol is investigated using a simulation model. This study evaluates the delay characteristics of MS/TP being used to deliver a BACnet application service. Analysis of the simulation results was used to identify the network parameters that influence the performance of BACnet application service and to develop recommendatioins that should be considered when designing and operating BACnet systems.

  • This paper discusses a common message protocol for green power systems such as tidal, wind, photovoltaic, and solar systems. For this investigations and analysis, existing protocols such as ELCOM-90, TASE.1, ICCP/TASE.2 and SCADA were analyzed for the application of green power systems in view of real-time property and reliability. For the analysis, the practical example of green power system using SACADA and ICCP are investigated and discussed. As a future direction of this investigations, the feasibility analysis of manufacturing message specification(ISO-9560) for green power system is discussed.

  • Given a protocol specification, the task of testing whether an implementation conforms to the specification is called conformance testing. In this paper, the design and implementation of the protocol conformance test system using LAN on heterogeneous systems is descreibed. The test sequence used in this test system is generated using an algorithm on the basis of multiple UIO. The usability of this test system as an application was confirmed by performing the conformance test on the CCITT No.7 TCAP(transaction capabilities application part), implemented by ISDN Laboratory, Korea University in 1990.

  • Use ot Intelligent devices that work on the ANSI/EIA 709.1 protocol is increasing. In this study an ANSI/EIA 709.1 protocol analyzer that can monitor and analyze the packets on LonWorks network is designed and developed. The device is based on TMS320LF2407A processor for decoding data packets, and uses XScale processor for sending data to the application program on PC. The application program has various analysis features as well as basic monitoring function. The developed device can be used for debugging purposes in development of any kind of LonWorks devices, and also it is useful in maintenance of LonWorks network or Lon Works devices.

Design and Implementation of Key Frame Sharing Application in Android Using Chord Protocol

  • Due to the popularity of mobile phones, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) content sharing in mobile phones is highly desirable, especially in a mobile data connection. In addition, there has been an increasing demand for content sharing applications for P2P communication in Android-based smartphones as ubiquitous mobile devices. However, due to wireless network limits, unstable characteristic and restricted storage space, mobile users confront challenges in establishing connections and sharing video frames with other users. To solve this issue, we propose an architectural design and implementation of key frame sharing application that uses Chord, a distributed lookup protocol to establish a content sharing platform for mobile devices, combined with the Chord SDK based on Android. Our proposed system enables users easily to share key information on video data in real-time over a wireless network without manual processing of devices which join or leave the group and cost associated with the 3G/4G network.

OPC 스택이 없는 제어기와 OPC DA 클라이언트를 통신시키는 변환 소프트웨어 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Conversion Software for Controller Without OPC Stack to Communicate With OPC DA Client)

  • 본 논문에서는 OPC 스택이 없는 제어기를 OPC DA 클라이언트와 통신하도록 하는 변환 소프트웨어 개발 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 OPC DA 표준 프로토콜에 기반을 둔 OPC 서버 구현, OPC 태그 및 포인트의 정보를 확인할 수 있는 GUI 개발, OPC 프로토콜에서 개방형 표준 프로토콜로 변환하는 변환모듈 개발 등의 3가지 과정으로 구성된다. OPC DA 표준 프로토콜에 기반을 둔 OPC 서버 구현 과정은 산업용 OPC DA 클라이언트와 OPC DA 프로토콜을 통하여 데이터를 주고받을 수 있도록 PC에 서버를 구현하는 단계이다. OPC 태그 및 포인트의 정보를 확인할 수 있는 GUI 개발 과정은 OPC 서버를 구동시키고 이를 윈도우 레지스트리에 등록하며 OPC 태그 및 포인트를 확인하고 직렬통신 데이터의 송수신 확인을 위한 GUI 개발 단계이다. OPC DA 프로토콜에서 개방형 표준 프로토콜로 변환하는 변환모듈 개발과정은 OPC DA 클라이언트로부터 수신된 OPC 태그의 데이터를 개방형 표준 프로토콜을 사용하는 산업용 제어기기와 직접적으로 통신을 할 수 있도록 프로토콜을 변환함으로써 데이터를 송수신 할 수 있는 변환모듈을 개발하는 단계이다. 개발된 소프트웨어의 효율성을 평가하기 위하여 본 논문에서 개발한 서버단의 소프트웨어와 OPC 클라이언트를 연결하고, 개방형 표준 프로토콜을 사용하는 5개의 샘플 제어기기와 연결하여 테스트 한 결과 전체 송수신 패킷 중에서 96.98%의 평균 통신 성공률을 나타내었다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안한 OPC DA 변환 소프트웨어를 이용하여 Modbus 프로토콜을 지원하는 산업용 빌딩 제어 장치와 산업용 OPC DA 클라이언트 사이에 통신을 수행시킬 수 있음이 확인되었다.

양방향 데이터 방송 미들웨어를 위한 검증 및 정합 애플리케이션 개발 (Development of Verification and Interface Application for Interactive Data Broadcasting Middleware)

  • 본 논문에서는 양방향 데이터 방송 미들웨어를 위한 검증 및 정합 애플리케이션을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 애플리케이션은 양방향 데이터 방송의 표준인 ACAP과 OCAF 검증 항목을 format, protocol, resource presentation으로 분류하여 구현한다. 따라서 이 애플리케이션을 사용하면 지상파 TV와 케이블 TV에 공용으로 사용되는 디지털 셋탑박스(settop-box)가 ACAP과 OCAF 미들웨어 표준에 따라 개발 되었는지 여부를 검증할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 양방향 TV 애플리케이션을 실제 방송 환경과 동일한 환경에서 검증할 수 있는 에어코드(Aircode)사의 TYFLYSiTM Verifier를 사용하여 개발한 검증 및 정합 애플리케이션의 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과 DTB-H650F 셋탑박스의 경우 OCAP, ACAP양방향 데이터방송 미들웨어 표준에 대하여 각각 80%, 95%를 지원하고 있음을 검증할 수 있었다.

APPLICATION OF $(\upsilon,\kappa,\lambda)$-CONFIGURATION TO GENERATION OF A CONFERENCE KEY

  • In order for all participants at video conference to communicate mutually, the conference key should be necessary. In this paper, we present the communication protocol that generates a conference key efficiently based on $(\upsilon,\kappa,\lambda)$-configuration, one class of block designs, which minimizes message transmission overhead needed for this key. Especially, in the case of ${\lambda}=1$, the protocol requires only $O(\sqrt[v]{v})$ messages, where v is the number of participants.
