  • A communication system based on DATEX-ASN, an international communication protocol for use in COSMOS, a real-time traffic responsive signal system of Seoul, was developed in this study. Through laboratory experiments, it was identified that some additional rules were necessary for its successful application to COSMOS and thus proper complementary rules were devised. Laboratory experiments were to measure error-rates of monitoring information packet, EOC duration and operating cycle-length errors at different data transmission rates and the results of each experiment were compared each other. The results show that the DATEX-ASN protocol requires a transmission rate of at least 9,600bps which is higher than a transmission rate of 4,800bps required by NTCIP.

  • In this paper, we studied on MAC(Media Access Control) protocol for UAVs application. According to the number of UAVs, ground control station should control properly increased UAVs. So, we applied CSMA/CA that used in current civil aircraft to UAV communications and verified the applicability through comparison of throughput and delays of data with various message sizes, In the results, we confirmed applicability for UAVs MAC protocol.

  • This paper proposes an extended TCP/IP protocol, LAN/TCP, that can be used for the distributed soft real-time systems connected through the Ethernet-based local area network. Since LAN/TCP shows soft real-time performance with keeping compatibility and interoperability with the standard TCP/IP, the existing application software can be used without any modification. LAN/TCP also provides the periodic transmission mode(PTM) with which the periodical data collection and updating the control signals can be efficiently implemented with relatively small traffic overhead. This paper includes the computer simulation and experimental results of the proposed protocol.

  • This study is BIT(: Bus Information Terminal) features that take advantage of KEPCO eIoT(: energy Internet of Thing) platform, and it's Network configuration is composed of display terminal device, gateway, platform, and the service server. The key features are parts for processing protocol data between the gateway and the device using LoRa(: Long Range) technology, Intelligent applications and SIP(: Session Initiation Protocol) data handling connected to the Taxi reservation system. And the resource tree provided BIT for the service, which commonly used in the application server and the device.

  • Mitochondria play a crucial role in many essential biological events by way of the electron transport chains and intermembrane proteins that they contain. Abnormalities in the mitochondria are strongly correlated with the development of diseases such as atherosclerosis, cancer, and diabetes. However, the study of mitochondria has been referred to as 'labor-intensive' because of the difficulty in isolating the organelles from their various sources, which can include cultured cells and tissues. Multiple companies provide mitochondria isolation kits, and it is possible for investigators to use different kits and apply different protocols depending on the source of the mitochondria. Therefore, we focused on producing an isolation buffer that could be applied to both cultured cells and tissues, and optimized an isolation protocol that could be used with both. Specifically, we adjusted the buffer condition that can be applied to human cervical cancer cells, fibroblasts, and tissues such as mouse liver and spleen. We also optimized the protocol to improve the efficacy and efficiency of the steps involved in the isolation of mitochondria. These methodological improvements may contribute to advanced research by allowing investigators to overcome the difficulties involved in isolation of mitochondria from biological samples.

  • The problem of architecting a reliable transport system across an overlay network using split TCP connections as the transport primitive is mainly considered. The considered overlay network uses the application-level switch in each intermediate host. We first argue that natural designs based on store-and-forward principles that are maintained by split TCP connections of hop-by-hop approaches. These approaches in overlay networks do not concern end-to-end TCP semantics. Then, a new transport protocol-Overlay Transport Protocol (OTP)-that manages the end-to-end connection and is responsible for the congestion/flow control between source host and destination host is proposed. The proposed network model for the congestion and flow control mechanisms uses a new window size-Ownd-and a new timer in the source host and destination host. We validate our analytical findings and evaluate the performance of our OTP using a prototype implementation via simulation.

  • This paper describes a research result on automatic generation of Abstract Test Suite from INAP protocol in formal specifications by applying many existing related algorithms such as Rural Chinese Postman Tour and UIO sequence concepts. We use the I/O FSM generated from SDL specifications and a characterizing sequence concepts. We use the I/O FSM generated from SDL specifications and a characterizing sequence, called UIO sequence, is defined for the I/O FSM. The UIO sequence is combined with the concept of Rural Chinese Postman tour to obtain an optimal test sequence. It also proposes an estimation methodology of the fault courage for the Test Suite obtained by our method and their translation into the standardized test notation TTCN.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is a text based call signaling protocol that has characteristics such as flexibilities and extensibility for various application services over Internet. In this paper, we have implemented SIP based integrated Instant Messenger system which includes Presence Watcher Information service that can notify various current users status. In this system, voice and video communications are also possible as well as text based instant messages. For voice and video communication, we have newly proposed a method in which direct connection is possible between users without creation of SW INVITE dialog by extending PRESENCE TUPLE of presence information. In this case, PRESENCE TUPLE stores some informations necessary for the session.

  • In vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) networks, where selfishness degrades node activity, countermeasures for collaboration enforcement must be provided to enable application of a sage and efficient network environment. Because vehicular networks feature both high mobility and various topologies, selfish behavior judgment and establishment of a stable routing protocol become intensely challenging. In this paper, a two-phase-based generous cooperative routing protocol (called GEC) is presented for V2V networks to provide resistance to selfishness. To detect selfish behaving vehicles, a packet forwarding watchdog and an average connection rate based on the multipath weight method are used, where evidence is gathered from different watchdogs. Then, multihop relay decisions are made using a generous cooperative algorithm based on game theory. Finally, through buffering of the multiple end-to-end paths and judicious choice of optimal cooperative routes, route maintenance phase is capable of dealing with congestion and rapidly exchanging traffic. Specifically, it is proved that the GEC is theoretically subgame perfect. Simulation results show that for V2V networks with inherently selfish nodes, the proposed method isolates uncooperative vehicles and is capable of accommodating both the mobility and congestion circumstances by facilitating information dissemination and reducing end-to-end delay.
