  • This paper describes a development of high speed fuzzy inference circuit for the industrialprocesses. The hardware fuzzy inference circuit is developed utilizing a hardware fuzzy inference circuit is developed utilizing a DSP and a multiplier and accumulator chip. To enhance the inference speed, the pipeline disign is adopted at the bottleneck and the general Max-Min inference method is slightly modified as Max-max method. As a results, the inference speed is evaluated to be 100 KFLIPS. Owing to this high speed feature, satisfactory application can be attained for complex high speed motion control as well as the control of multi-input multi-output nonlinear system. As an application, the developed fuzzy inference circuit is embedded to a PLC (Porgrammable Logic Controller) for industrial process control. For the fuzzy PLC system, to fascilitate the design of the fuzzy control knowledge such as membership functions, rules, etc., a MS-Windows based GUI (Graphical User Interface) software is developed.

The Development of a super high speed motor driving system for the direct drive type turbo compressor (직접 구동방식의 터보 압축기를 위한 초고속 전동기 구동 시스템 개발)

  • There are screw, reciprocating type turbo compressor by structure in an air compressor which is essential equipment on the industrial spot. Recently, the application range of a turbo compressor tend to be wide gradually. And this type of compressor needs high speed rotation of impeller in structure so high ratio gearbox and conventional induction motor driving required. This mechanical system have results of increased moment of inertia and mechanical friction loss. Recent studies of modern turbo compressor have been applied to developing super high speed BLDC motor and driver which remove gearbox that make its size small and mechanical friction loss minimum. To accomodate this tendency, we tried to develope a super high speed motor drive system for 150Hp, 70,000rpm direct drive Turbo compressor using DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and SVPWM(Space Vector Modulation PWM) technique. The results of this specific application show that super high speed driver and controller could be implemented well with digital electronics.

  • In this paper, high-speed Hybrid MAC (Medium Access Control layer) implementation suitable for smart grid applications is researched. MB-OFDM (Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is considered for high-speed communication method in smart grid application. In this paper, the MAC adopts the distributed network managing method. Also, the MB-OFDM merit of high-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps must be supported. Hence, this paper presents an efficient hardware-software integration (co-design) method in order to realize a high- speed transmission, and a realizing method of distribution network. Finally, MAC performance and reliability based on MB-OFDM PHY (PHYsical layer) are confirmed through simulation and emulation.

  • This paper is to investigate the influence of driving patterns of slow and high speed vehicles on the performance of continuously regenerating diesel particulate filter(DPF) system matched with operating conditions in field application. The DPF performance test for field application was carried out for two identical DPFs installed to slow and high speed vehicles. A slow speed vehicle was selected among local buses which have driving patterns to repeat running and stop frequently, while a high speed vehicle was prepared to have long route of high speed over 60km/h like inter-city buses. In this test, the regeneration performance on the DPF of slow speed vehicle deteriorated because of high soot load index(SLI) in spite of same balance point temperature(BPT) distribution for high speed vehicle. The DPF of slow speed vehicle melted in the end because the rapid increase of back pressure caused high temperature over $1200^{\circ}C$ in the ceramic wall of DPF. The PM components like ash collected to the filter in the DPF were analyzed in order to investigate the cause of the defect and provide an operation performance of DPF system. In the result of the analysis, high levels of lubrication oil ash(Ca, Mg, P, Zn) were detected.

Effects of Spiral Balance Taping on Postural Balance Ability in Stroke Patient (뇌졸중 환자에서 스파이랄 테이핑이 자세 안정성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence that it has on the application pre and post balance index using method with spiral and reaction point balance taping application against 20 stroke patients. The taping application pre and post static eye opening balance index was statistically no significant difference in the Mean X Speed, and the Extent in X Dirction but in the Mean Y Speed, the Velocity Moment, and Extent in Y Direction, there were statistically significant difference(p<0.05). The taping application pre and post static eye closing balance inde was statistically no significant difference in the Mean X Speed, in Y Direction, there were statistically significant difference(p<0.05). From above results, the method of the applied taping was the equilibrium stability performance of the Y-axis than the stability of the balance of the X-axis, therefore it is considered to study the taping application method in the balance of detail stroke patients.

  • Until the 4th Industrial Revolution fused the Web with diverse technologies, the only factor in evaluating the performance of a Web application was the loading speed of the Web application. Therefore, most existing Web application performance analysis tools focus on the speed at which Web applications run in a Web browser. However, the web is now being used not only in a simple web browser but also in a variety of services. So, in addition to simple speed, there are more elements to be checked to evaluate web applications. Therefore, in this paper, we design a server to perform web application performance analysis considering progressive web app, accessibility, best practice, and search engine optimization as well as the above mentioned speed. Also, we realize a REST API based server that can provide web application performance services without being affected by user's devices or environment.

  • Due to almost all tracks of new Kyoungbu high-speed lines(HSL) consisting of bridges and tunnels, HSR operational safety management is very important factor for passenger safety and preventing catastrophic event. Especially, it is important to approach the scene of the accident and assist in saving lives as soon as possible under emergency conditions. Therefore it is essential to prepare access methods and available resources in advance in order to support emergency correspodances promptly and effectively. This paper persents an application of geographical information system(GIS) for developing emergency management system as well as batabase system on tracks and facilities, electric/communication equipment and safety equipment required to support emergencies. The on-site information on the proximity of HSL is expressed on the numerical map, which can be helpful to call external supports such as medical service, local authorities, police offices, fire brigades, and etc. for the emergency situations.

  • In the present work, vibration analysis of high speed rotary bell cup model for paint atomizer application is carried out through numerical simulation. At first, eight bell cup models, considering four different cup shapes and two different cup diameters, are proposed and corresponding dynamic characteristics are investigated. To evaluate the operating stability, critical speed analysis is conducted using Campbell diagram and separation margin between operating speed and critical speed is identified. Unbalance vibration responses are also studied according to operating speed and balancing quality grade of G. Finally, the stability and adequacy of the proposed bell cup models are discussed for field application.

Development and Application Performance of a Granular Herbicide Applicator Attached to Rice Transplanter (승용 이앙기 부착형 제초입제 살포기 개발과 살포성능)

  • A herbicide applicator attached to a rice transplanter was developed to perform herbicide application and transplanting simultaneously. The prototype machine was composed of herbicide tank, discharge device, spinner, scattering plate and power drive. The application rate of the machine could be adjusted from 10 to 30 kg/㏊ and the application swath was 1.8m. According to the field test, application uniformity showed the range of 13.6~43.9% in terms of CV(coefficient of variation) depending on the spinner speed, application height and shape of diffuser. The best uniformity could be achieved with the spinner speed of 30.8m/s and application height of 20cm. Field efficiency of the prototype was 4.7hr/㏊. Transplanting machine has field efficiency of 4.6hr/㏊ in Korea. By attaching the herbicide applicator, field efficiency became lowed only by 0.1hr/㏊, which was counted for filling time of herbicide. Simultaneous operation of transplanting and herbicide application had a of labor saying. The weed control efficacy was measured to be 96% in field when AC140 + Stomp and Londax + YRC was applied at the 65th day after transplanting. Nonanmae was treated by manual application to be compared to.

Centrifugal Clutch Design for Unmanned Helicopter - Simulation of Optimal Factors - (농용 무인헬리콥터의 원심클러치 설계 - 최적 설계치의 시뮬레이션 -)

  • Aerial application using an agricultural unmanned helicopter was suggested for an alternative against current pesticide application methods. Centrifugal clutches play important roles in the performance and safety of the helicopter operation. A previous study analyzed and verified the power transfer theory of the guide type centrifugal clutch. Based on the clutch theory, optimal designs of the clutch became possible and feasible using a simulation method. Design criteria of the clutch were the power transfer capacity of 24.66 kW(33.5 PS) at the rated engine speed and the engaging range speed of 3,000${\sim}$3,500 rpm. Various designs were accomplished using the simulation. An optimal clutch was simulated by determining the values of spring constant and mass of friction sector, which were 94,700 N/m and 123.7 g, respectively. The design performed the power capacity of 24.86 kW(33.8 PS) and engagement speed of 3,069 rpm, meeting the design criteria. Using the designed clutch, an efficient transfer of the power would be possible for the unmanned agricultural helicopter.
