  • In this study, the application of flipped learning methodology to thermodynamics in mechanical engineering was examined, and how university students view flipped learning and the effects of flipped learning were analyzed. To analyze the effects of flipped learning, pre-class survey, assessment on learning in pre-class, team activities during class, and post-class survey were conducted. The analysis was also conducted on 33 students who took the thermodynamics course in mechanical engineering, and the PARTNER flipped learning model was applied to the class. The results of this study are as follows; In the preliminary survey, the students expected that the flip-learning class with team activities and teaching between team members would be helpful in improving their learning. In addition, students recognized that cooperative learning through a team was helpful for learning. The case reflecting the result of pre-learning evaluation to the subject grades showed higher pre-learning evaluation results than the case not reflecting the result of the pre-learning evaluation to the subject grades, and it was found that the pre-learning evaluation was acting as a factor to promote learning in pre-class. In post-class survey, the satisfaction with the flipped learning class was high, indicating that the effectiveness of the flipped learning class applied to the thermodynamics class was excellent.

  • The concept of the Metaverse has been around not only for play but also for daily use. The interest in Metaverse is increasing, and various industries such as medicine, media, and financial started to use the new technology for diverse purposes. In addition, interest in the Metaverse is increasing in the architectural industry, but not much research has been done yet. Recently, some studies started to study focusing on the architectural design of Metaverse and the technological characteristics of Metaverse. However, there are limited studies about the utilization of the Metaverse in the architectural design process or construction process. From this perspective, the study aims to analyze the applicability of the Metaverse in the architectural design process through Metaverse case studies. In order to accomplish the research goal, the study classified user experience and technology of Metaverse in the literature review and Metaverse use in other industries such as commercial, medical, media entertainment, and construction industry. Then, this study analyzes six representative Metaverse platforms according to the application of Metaverse in the architectural design process. Finally, this study discussed the future direction and potential of Metaverse application in the Architectural design process.

  • Purposes: The purpose of this study is to analyze cases of development and operation of a mentoring program that provides psychological support to new employees and helps them adapt to work, thereby applying it to actual work and laying the foundation for follow-up research. Methodology: We explored the development and application process of A Hospital mentoring program by applying the mentoring program model developed according to the procedures of the ADDIE model, and confirmed the perceptions of participants who participated in the training course through analysis of activity logs and in-depth interviews. Findings: The main results of the case analysis are as follows. First, the curriculum was developed according to the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. As a result of activity log and in-depth interview analysis, participants recognized that the mentoring program was helpful in forming social relationships, organizational adaptation, and preventing job turnover, and recognized difficulties in communication. Participants mentioned supplementing the operating system. Practical Implication: The results of a systematic review of the application and effectiveness of mentoring programs for new employees can serve as reference material for practical program design.

  • To investigate the feasibility of a boom sprayer in the paddy field, an experimental boom sprayer for both broadcast and directed spraying to the lower part of rice plants was developed. The droplet deposition characteristics of the boom sprayers were experimentally compared to those of power sprayer. Water sensitive papers(WSP) and a machine vision system were used to evaluate the coverage rate and droplet density. It was shown that the broadcast application by the boom sprayer was the best coverage among the tested sprayers. Coverage tate and droplet density were affected by the distance between nozzles and the sprayer ground speed, The best result was obtained when the distance of 30cm and the speed of 1.7km/hr. The directed application showed inconsistency in overall droplet distribution. The inconsistency was judged to be caused by conflict between plants and boom extenders. The power sprayer showed a very wide range of droplet size distribution, relatively larger droplets and inconsistency in cove The power sprayer was judged to be inadequate for the low-volume precision application because of inconsistency in performance and difficulty in adjusting the spraying rate. Based on the droplet coverage characteristics, it was concluded that the self-propelled boom sprayer for the broadcast application was feasible for an alternative to the power sprayer in case of low volume, precision application in paddy condition.

  • Due to the rapid growth of smartphone market, the security threats are also increased. One of the smartphone security threats is that w1Verified applications are distributed on the smartphone market. In the case of Andoroid market, Google have no Application Approval Process that can detect malicious android application so many malicious android applications are distributed in the Android market. To reduce this security threat, it is essential the skill to detect the malicious activities of application. In this paper, we propose the android application analysis method for malicious activity detection and we introduce the implementation of our method which can automatically analyze the android application.
