PURPOSE: The purpose of this study conducted the experiment to check change of ability to grip depending on normal male adult's elbow flexion angle and the effect of kinesiology tape application. METHODS: Normal male adults who studies in H university where located in Kyoungbook state and did not have any factors like fracture, osteoarthritis, deformities and non-neurologic issue which might influence the result of this study were selected as subjects. Elbow of subjects were applied by 5cm wideness kinesiology tape and elbow's angle was selected by $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ using Goniometer. The change of ability to grip depending on flexion was measured by an electronic dynamometer before and after taping. RESULTS: Before and after taping elbow joint, both ability to grip decrease in more flexion angle and $135^{\circ}$ of elbow flexion was lowest value, 299.84N. Using kinesiology tape, neutral position $0^{\circ}$ was the highest value, 352.26N. The lowest was 331.68N on $135^{\circ}$. According to verifying the change of ability to grip depending on elbow flexion and the change of ability to grip after taping with paired t-test, the result was p<.05, there was significant difference. CONCLUSION: Using electronic dynamometer and estimating the ability to grip after and before kinesiology tape, the ability to grip decrease in more elbow flexion. The ability to grip after using kinesiology tape was relatively higher than before taping.

This study is to apply the Havruta teaching-learning method to college students' major classes and analyze the relationship between the effectiveness evaluation of communication skills and sub-factors using a structural equation model. As a result of the study, the communication ability score was different before and after Havruta teaching-learning, and it was found that after Havruta teaching-learning was higher than before Havruta teaching-learning. The path effect was found to be significant in all of the total, direct, and indirect effects among latent variables, except for the relationship between interpretation ability, role-playing ability, and goal-setting ability in the direct effect. In this study, it was found that the Havruta teaching-learning method not only improves creativity and thinking ability, but also improves self-directed learning ability. In addition, it was reconfirmed that it is a teaching-learning method that can develop social skills and communication skills as well as problem-solving skills while experiencing opinions different from one's own. As a result, research on a thorough student-centered teaching-learning method suitable for the Homo Machina era must be continued and its application in the educational field must be implemented.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a non-elastic fixation belt on the balance ability and fall prevention in elderly women. Elderly women experience reduced balance ability and an increased risk of falls due to a weakening of the surrounding sacroiliac joint and pelvic muscles during childbirth and menopause. On the other hand, specific studies are still needed. The subjects were allocated randomly to two groups: control (n=20) and experimental (n=20). The experimental group used a non-elastic fixation belt, whereas the control group had no fixation belt. The balance ability and the fall index were measured in all subjects using a balance measurement device, and the low abdominal muscle thickness was determined in the experimental group using ultrasound imaging for the exact application of the non-elastic fixation belt. The following statistical analysis was performed: an independent t-test for the general characteristics of the subjects, $2{\times}2$ analysis of variance with repeated measures for the balance and fall index score, and a paired t-test for the abdominal muscle thickness. The group ${\times}$ time interaction effect showed significant improvement in the General Stability Index (F1,38=47.24, p=0.001), Fourier Harmony Index (F1,38=88.83, p=0.001), Weight Distribution Index (F1,38=50.21, p=0.001), and Fall Index (F1,38=21.59, p=0.001). The thicknesses of the transverse abdominal (p=0.001) and internal oblique (p=0.001) muscles were increased significantly in the experimental group after using the non-elastic fixation belt. Overall, the application of a non-elastic fixation belt could be effective in improving the balance ability and fall prevention in elderly women.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to identify changes in reading ability among children with Borderline Intelligence by applying an electronic media reading training protocol. Methods : A picture book reading training protocol was applied to 10 childrens with borderline intelligence using electronic media to improve reading skills. This protocol was performed for 10 session once a week. After the analysis of the content validity index about the protocol presented in this study, this prococol was applied to the subjects. To analyze the changes of the reading ability for the subjects, KNISE-BAAT type A and B reading test were used. Results : According to the tests taken before and after implementing, the Application of Picture Booking Training Protocol using Electronic Media there was a significant improvement in Reading ability (Understanding words, Completion sentence, Vocabulary selection, Vocabulary arrangement, Understanding short text). However, there was no significant difference in Oral Reading. Conclusion : Application of Picture Booking Training Protocol using Electronic Media may be used as a beneficial measure to improve the reading abilities of children with Borderline Intellectual.

This research analyzed the effect of lessons with the GIS application as an alternative scheme of teaching and learning of geography in elementary school. Two classes in the third grade at Y elementary school in Andong were selected to conduct lessons on 'The Landscape of My Hometown' from March 6 through June 30, 2006. In the experimental class, the lessons were conducted with the GIS application; while, in a comparative class, the lessons were carried with usual teaching and learning method. To find out the effect of lessons with the GIS application, differences of spatial cognition of students were figured out between groups, and before and after lessons. The difference between the spatial concept development stages and materials on the textbook discouraged students to pursue their learning as well as made them hard to achieve the goals of lessons. The GIS application had been suggested as an alternative teaching and learning method to overcome the difference; however, it has been hard to find any empirical research to verify the effect of the lessons with GIS application in elementary school. The ability of spatial cognition of the third graders at an elementary school was very low as the result of that curricula in the first and second grades dealt with sketch maps as teaching and learning media. The map learning of third grader on the transitional stage would play the critical role to develop the spatial cognition ability in the future. The field study contributing to developing spatial cognition ability would not be conducted at school. It was required to have the alternative learning schemes such as lessons with GIS application. The lessons with GIS application verified effect of GIS application as the alternative method. The GIS application helped students to recognize landmarks, directions and distance effectively as well as reduced the spatial cognition difference among individuals and/or groups.

This study was carried out to clarify the effect of sulfur fertilization method on the qualities of safflower (Carthamus tinctorious L.) seed. Sulfur application increased the nitrogen and sulfur content of seed. In nitrogen content, there was no significant difference among sulfur fertilizers, whereas sulfur content was increased by raising ammonium sulfate (AS) amounts by soil application. In application method of AS, there was no significantly difference between foliar application and soil application with 8 kg S/10a. N/S ratio in seed was decreased by sulfur application, and also decreased with the increase of AS amounts by soil application. The contents of lipid and protein were increased by sulfur application. Lipid content was highest in foliar application, and protein content was lowest in AS 4 kg S/10a. By sulfur application, the content of total phenolics and electron donating ability (EDA) were increased by $3.1{\sim}4.7%$ and $3.6{\sim}8.5%$, respectively compared with control. In content of total phenolics, there was no significant difference among sulfur fertilizers, but EDA was higher in sulfur powder 20 kg/10a and AS 8 kg S/10a than that in other fertilizers. Sulfur application showed positive effects on the qualities of safflower seed. In application effects, AS and foliar application were more efficient than sulfur powder and soil application, respectively.
Self-directed learning ability is more important than before. It is well-known that traditional teacher-directed lecture class, seminar-like oral presentation class, and even discussion/debate class have not been enough to enforce self-directed learning ability for students. To resolve the problem, a new dynamic complex instruction model (DCIM) was developed for undergraduate and graduate students and a basic frame of DCIM was published by Oh (2010). Here, it is examined if the application of DCIM to a biology class of graduate school can cause improvement of self-directed learning ability. For this, the self-directed learning readiness scale (West & Bentley, 1990) translated by Ryu (1997) and motivation scale (Hayamizu. 1997) translated by Oh (2001) were employed, and then measurements performed with the translated scales were done in the beginning and the last of two DCIM-adapted graduate biology classes at K university, Daegu, South Korea in the first semester of the year 2010. The results show that self-directed learning ability could be significantly improved through the DCIM-adapted class, compared to the result of a teacher-directed lecture class as a control group. With respect to the motivation, there was not found any statistically significant difference between control and experiment groups of graduate students. The present study seems to be meaningful in that it is the first work proving the effect of improvement of self-directed learning ability of graduate students through the DCIM-adapted classes.

The purpose of this study was to identify the nursing college students' problem solving ability, nurses' image and leadership and compare problem solving ability, nurses' amage and leadership after management clinical practice. A descriptive survey design was used 60 nursing students who 4th grade, during August 2014. Data were analyzed using mean, t-test, ANOVA with SPSS 21.0. The highest area was 'get a gob' in application motivation, 'from nurse during clinical training' in most influencing events. Satisfaction with nursing as major was 83.4% above 'moderate'. There were significant mean differences in nurses' image according to having relation nurse and satisfaction with nursing as major, leadership according to application motivation and satisfaction with nursing as major and personality, problem solving ability according to having relation nurse and personality. The subject scored 3.32 points of full 5 on problem solving ability, 3.41 of full 5 on nurses' image and 3.62 of full 5 on leadership before management clinical practice. Scores for problem solving ability(t=-2.15, p=.03), nurses' image(t=-2.67, p=.01) and leadership(t=-2.20, p=.03) showed statistically significant increases after management practice. The result should be reflected in the development of effective teaching for management clinical practice.

In this study, using data completed in the 11th year of the Panel Study on Korean Children, discourse management, situational adjustment and application ability, communication intention, and non-verbal communication were investigated by the child pragmatic language checklist tool in the field of cognitive and language development. It is to find a significant influence by analyzing the relationship between the factors of the observed variables on the latent variables of communication. The subject of this study is 4th grade elementary school students in 1,392 households, excluding 36 non-respondents to the language development question, out of 2150 households in the 11th year of the Panel Study on Korean Children(2018) data, 1428 households excluding 722 households who did not participate in the survey. As a result of the study, it was found that the total effect, direct effect, and indirect effect among the three latent variables except for communication intention were all significant in the effect analysis of the research model. Specifically, not only did nonverbal communication have a direct effect on discourse management ability, but also the indirect influence mediated by situational control and application ability was significant in the relationship between nonverbal communication and discourse management ability. As a result, it was found that the higher the non-verbal communication and situational adjustment and adaptation ability, the higher the discourse management ability.
This experiment was conducted to see the effect of repeated application of IBP granular formulation(17%, 0,0-diisopropyl-S-benzyl thiophosphate) on the biodegradation of IBP and diazinon〔0,0-diethyl 0-(2-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl) phosphorothioate〕 in silt loam soil with 2.1% organic matter under flooded condition. The persistence of IBP in the soil was shortened by increasing the frequencies of application of the chemical. Enhanced degradation ability in the soil caused by repeated application of IBP was prolonged about 53 days, while the ability did not influence diazinon persistence in the soil. The half-lives of IBP in sterilized soil autoclaved at $121^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes were about 3 times longer than those in viable soil, suggesting that microbial process was a major factor for IBP degradation in the soil. The total colony number of soil microbes showed little difference between the soils with and without repeated application of IBP. A possible concern of specific soil microorganisms on the pesticide degradation in soil was discussed.
