In this letter, we propose a cross-layer technique jointly considering modulation coding schemes (MCSs) of medium access control (MAC) layer, source significance information (SSI) and error concealment unit of application (APP) layer, and channel quality information (CQI) of physical (PHY) layer. We demonstrate the improved video quality by the proposed technique when H.264 videos are streamed over Rayleigh fading wireless channels.

본 연구는 블록 형태의 프로그래밍 툴인 앱 인벤터를 이용해 학생들의 학업에 대한 정보와 궁금증을 해결해 줄 수 있는 인터넷 강의평가 앱 개발을 연구하였다. 앱을 개발하는 과정에서 웹 데이터베이스와 구글 퓨전 테이블을 이용하여 로그인 기능과 사용자들에게 공유하여 볼 수 있는 게시판 기능을 추가하였다. 이 기능을 통하여 사용자간에 정보를 공유하여 인터넷강의 선정에 정보제공 방법을 연구하였다.

본 연구는 스마트폰 맛집 앱에 대한 서비스품질(정보성, 유용성, 이동성, 신뢰성, 공감성)과 사용후기 특성(사용후기 동의성, 사용후기 유용성)이 맛집 앱을 이용한 후의 만족과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향관계를 검증하여 외식업체들이 스마트폰 앱을 통해 효과적인 마케팅 전략을 구축할 수 있도록 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 자료수집을 위해 2015년 9월 15일부터 10월 30일까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 편의표본추출법에 의해 스마트폰 맛집 앱 이용자를 대상으로 조사를 진행하였다. 설문지는 312부를 배포하였으며, 이 중 유효한 자료 295부를 분석에 사용하였고, 가설검증을 위해 구조모형분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 맛집 앱에 대한 서비스품질 중 신뢰성, 공감성, 유용성이 맛집 앱만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 정보성과 이동성은 맛집 앱만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사용후기 특성 중 사용후기 동의성만이 맛집 앱만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사용후기 유용성은 맛집 앱만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 맛집 앱만족은 재이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 빅데이터 기반 맛집 앱에 대한 이용만족과 재이용의도에 영향을 미치는 선행 요인으로 앱 서비스품질과 사용후기를 제시하여 영향 관계를 규명하고, 이를 선행연구와 비교분석하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 맛집 앱 이용자들이 지각하는 앱 서비스품질 요인과 사용후기의 역할을 파악하여 맛집 앱 콘텐츠개발과 운영에 도움을 줄 수 있는 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다. 연구의 조사대상과 공간적 범위는 최근 3개월 이내에 스마트 폰 맛집 앱을 검색한 경험이 있는 전국의 20세 이상 남녀 내국인 거주자로 선정하였다. 선정된 조사대상자들에게 먼저 망고플레이트, 다이닝코드, 핫플레이스 등 빅데이터 맛집 앱을 검색해서 음식점을 선택하고 이용한 경험이 있는 지를 사전질문을 통하여 파악한 후, 경험이 있다고응답한소비자를대상으로설문조사를하였다. 연구결과, 서비스품질 중 신뢰성, 정보성, 시스템능력이 앱 이용만족에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 디자인과 이동성은 아무런 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 앱 이용만족은 앱 재이용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사용후기 정보성은 조절적 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 외식소비자들의 지속적인 맛집 앱 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 앱 서비스품질과 사용후기 정보성의 중요성을 규명하였다.

본 연구는 청소년 우울증 측정 및 관리를 위한 스마트폰 어플리케이션 콘텐츠 개발(박정선 외, 2016) 연구의 후속 연구로, 인지행동치료이론에 기반하여 스마트폰 어플리케이션을 설계하고 구현했다. 이 앱은 우울증에 대한 분석과 간편하고 연속적인 자기점검을 가능하게 하며, 이를 통해 우울의 단발적 분석 및 진단이 위주였던 이전 앱과 달리 심리 상태의 지속적 관리가 가능하도록 하였다. 더불어 실질적인 상담 서비스가 연계되도록 하였다. 이러한 목표를 달성하기 위해 청소년 우울증에 대한 선행연구 뿐만 아니라, 우울증 관련 모바일 어플리케이션을 조사하였다.

애플의 어플리케이션 마켓인 App Store에 어플리케이션을 등록하기 위해서는 애플 검증 센터를 통해 엄격한 검증 과정을 통과해야 한다. 그렇기 때문에 스파이웨어 어플리케이션의 유입이 까다롭다. 하지만 정상적인 어플리케이션의 취약점을 통해서도 악성코드가 실행될 수 있다. 이러한 공격을 방지하기 위해서는 어플리케이션에서 발생할 수 있는 잠재적 취약점을 패치하기 위해 조기에 발견하고 분석하는 연구가 필요하다. 잠재적 취약점을 증명하기 위해서는 취약점의 근본 원인을 파악하고 악용 가능성을 분석해야 한다. iOS 어플리케이션을 분석하는 도구로는 개발 도구인 Xcode에 내장되어 있는 LLDB라는 이름의 디버거를 활용할 수 있다. LLDB에는 다양한 기능이 존재하며 이 기능들은 API로도 제공되어 Python에서도 사용이 가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서 LLDB API를 활용하여 iOS 어플리케이션의 잠재적 취약점을 효율적으로 분석하는 방법에 대해 제안한다.

Recently, KakaoTalk users seek secure messengers with fears of 'possible' censorship over a mobile messenger. Instead German messenger "Telegram" is gaining popularity in South Korea. Are the known as secure messengers actually secure? In this paper, we evaluate secure mobile messengers in terms of private information protection. We establish the fourteen criteria to evaluate the functionality of messenger apps including communication encryption in transit, the possibility of leakage of decrypted messages via server, an encryption algorithm, a key exchange algorithm, an ephemeral message application, etc. Line, Telegram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Wickr, Facebook Messenger and KakaoTalk, which have many worldwide and domestic users, are to be targeted. Wickr is ranked at the top of the evaluation, followed by Telegram and Line but KakaoTalk and Snapchat are ranked at the bottom of the evaluation list.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The Recaller app was developed to help individuals record their food intakes. This pilot study evaluated the usability of this new food picture application (app), which operates on a smartphone with an embedded camera and Internet capability. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Adults aged 19 to 28 years (23 males and 22 females) were assigned to use the Recaller app on six designated, nonconsecutive days in order to capture an image of each meal and snack before and after eating. The images were automatically time-stamped and uploaded by the app to the Recaller website. A trained nutritionist administered a 24-hour dietary recall interview 1 day after food images were taken. Participants' opinions of the Recaller app and its usability were determined by a follow-up survey. As an evaluation indicator of usability, the number of images taken was analyzed and multivariate Poisson regression used to model the factors determining the number of images sent. RESULTS: A total of 3,315 food images were uploaded throughout the study period. The median number of images taken per day was nine for males and 13 for females. The survey showed that the Recaller app was easy to use, and 50% of the participants would consider using the app daily. Predictors of a higher number of images were as follows: greater interval (hours) between the first and last food images sent, weekend, and female. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this pilot study provide valuable information for understanding the usability of the Recaller smartphone food picture app as well as other similarly designed apps. This study provides a model for assisting nutrition educators in their collection of food intake information by using tools available on smartphones. This innovative approach has the potential to improve recall of foods eaten and monitoring of dietary intake in nutritional studies.

본 연구는 스마트폰 맛집 앱에 대한 순수성, 유용성, 과장성, 동의성이 신뢰 및 지각된 위험과 최종적으로 이용의도에 미치는 영향관계를 검증하여 모바일 애플리케이션의 유용한 정보를 제시하고자 하였다. 편의표본추출법(convenience sampling)에 의해 스마트폰 맛집 앱 이용자 275명을 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 사용후기 특성 중 순수성 및 유용성과 동의성은 신뢰에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 과장성은 신뢰에 부(-)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사용후기 특성 중 순수성 및 유용성만이 지각된 위험에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 신뢰는 지각된 위험보다 이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 신뢰와 지각된 위험 모두 스마트폰 맛집 앱 사용후기 특성 중 순수성 및 유용성, 사용후기 동의성과 이용의도 간에 매개역할을 하는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

Background: Behavior guidance is a technique used to subdue inappropriate behavior by establishing communication that meets the needs of a child. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of a mobile app (Little Lovely Dentist) compared to the tell-show-do (TSD) technique in managing anxious children during their first dental visit. Methods: Fifty children (30 boys and 20 girls) without any past dental experience, aged from 7 to 11 years, were randomly allocated into either the dental app group or the TSD group. The pre- and post-operative anxiety of children who underwent prophylactic cleaning was assessed both physiologically and subjectively using a heart rate measurement and the RMS pictorial scale, respectively. Results: The intragroup comparison of heart rate and RMS scores for children allocated to the dental app group was statistically significant (P value ≤ 0.001). However, a significant reduction only occurred in the RMS scores, but not the heart rate measurements, in the TSD group. Conversely, there was an increase in heart rates in the TSD group. Conclusion: Educating the child prior to a dental procedure using a smartphone application such as Little Lovely Dentist can significantly alleviate the anticipatory anxiety and engage children in dental treatment during their first visit.
