For the past years, Korean Housing policy have been focused on quantity rather then quality, when they provide housing. Focusing great quantity on housing led monolithic and standardized house forms in limited area. Most of our traditional residental environment, which made Koreans to communicate with neighbors, disappeared from the result of providing great quantity on housing. However, the increase of the income and standard of living, changed people's view. People start to demand for the place which is commodious and comfortable to live. Moreover, more leisure time caused people to communicate with their neighbors. To meet the demands of new forms of housing, they started to provide a community space to increase sense of belonging and community spirit for the residents in apartment house. The forms of past house which is defined by uniformity is delivered from rational thoughts. People can get emotional satisfaction from Community space because it provides opportunity of communicating and increase community spirit. This research is to classify the emotional expression in Community space and analyze the elements that is expressed in community space of apartment house.

Instead of installing new communication wiring to each house in the apartment house building. the power distribution network. which is already installed in the building. can be use as communication medium. In a safty management, by adoption of power line communication system, at remote we can monitor safty related sensors such as fire, gas leakage, burglar intrusion and emergency call which are located at each house. From this viewpoint, we developed security monitoring system for apartment house building using power lines. Security monitoring system consists of Power Line Communication-Sub Controller (PLC-SC). Power Line Communication-Main Controller (PLC-MC) and Management System (MS). Between a PLC-MC and a PLC-SC, the transmission rate is 1200 bps in power lines and modulation technique is frequency shirt keying (FSK). In between a PLC-MC and a MS, the transmission rate is 1200 bps in communication line (RS-485). As a result of this research. transmission loss is 0.1dB per meter of intrabuilding distribution network. Transmission can be reach in 250 meters. So it is enough to communicate for security monitoring system in apartment house building.

국내의 대표적 친환경 도시 조성사례인 수도권 제2기 신도시 내에 입주한 4개권역 총 80개 아파트단지를 대상으로 아파트단지 내 정성적 친환경 계획요소(독립변수)가 정량적 아파트 실거래 가격(종속변수)에 미치는 영향도를 통계적 계량기법을 활용해서 실증 분석하였다. 기존 도시 및 건축학적 차원에서의 정성적인 계획요소 분류체계를 발전적으로 좀 더 확장하여 환경경제학적 차원의 정량적인 계량분석 방안을 모색하였다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 또한 실증분석 결과로 수도권 제2기 신도시 아파트단지에 도입된 친환경 계획요소가 아파트 실거래가격에 미치는 매우 비중있고 주목할 만한 경제적 유발효과를 실증적으로 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 주목할 점은 신 재생에너지 도입 등 최신 녹색신기술이 적용된 다양하고 차별화된 친환경 계획요소가 이미 보편화되어 아파트 실거래가격에 매우 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to make clear the indoor thermal environmental efficiency of indoor garden in apartment during winter. The questionnaire survey was carried out during the l0th${\sim}$20th of February 2004, respondents consisted of 215 residents living in a subject apartment estate. The field measurements of indoor thermal elements were carried out at A house with indoor garden and at B house without indoor garden. The measurements in two-subject houses were taken on simultaneously the 11th of February. As Results, the residents living in apartments with indoor garden show positive response on air moisture and satisfaction. The daily ranges of indoor temperature and globe temperature in the A house were narrower than the B house. The average relative humidity in the A house was higher and constant than the B house. Therefore, it was seemed that indoor environment during winter in the house with indoor garden maintained more constant or comfortable than the house without indoor garden by earning effect and humidity control effect of plants.

This study was to present basic data in order to improve the management of the apartment house through investigating the work of managers and the association of occupant of a house. The Purpose of this study is to suggest a judgement of management-work and quality of manager in apartment housing board. Data were collected by the interview and survey from 131 managers in apartment houses. Major results were as follows: 1) the works of management were inquired by manager in occupant-management, administration-work, maintenance-work, and life-environmental work. 2) the works of management were compared with types of managers.

By 2019, Korea is expected to be an aged society, age group of 65 and older being over $14\%$ of the total population, considering their rapid increase today. Also the phenomenon of population structure are accelerated by a low birth rate and long life span. This study was intended to find out the inconvenient details in houses pointed out by the elderly. This survey was taken by trained interviewers from the people of ages 65 and older living in Daejeon city. Statistical analysis was implemented from 583 appropriate data out of 624 questionnaires using (SPSS PC+ 10.0). The results were as follows. The elderly were put to inconvenience noises in room, old facility in living room and outmoded facility in kitchen and bathroom in detached house. And they were put to inconvenience the size of room, living room and bathroom and old-fashioned facility in kitchen in apartment. The stairway and bathroom in detached house and balcony, elevator and bathroom in apartment were pointed out dangerous spaces in house.

After 1970 Years. Korea has developed a concept of public domestic housing. But this house is reached the uppermost limit time of using the occupant's satisfying life. Then reconstruction of Apartment house is urgently needed which is developed in Korea. So this study is examined the demolition work on current reconstructing apartment site. for reconstruction. Therefore this research examined the fitted demolition time of low-rise house and characteristics of demolition works. The conclusions from this experiment are shown below. 1. The average day work in clutcher method is shown about 1, 032㎥/Day. 2. The calculations of the term of construction which is produced by the analysis of demolition construction period on low-rise house is below. D(day) ＝ S(day) ＋ (0.272＋0.000902b(㎥))＋R(day)

This study was intended to suggest that new small-sized apartment houses should be designed and provided on the base of the concept of universal design. This is based on the diversity of each resident, that is, resident of not as a family, but as an individual. On the background of this, this study evaluated the small-sized apartment house in aspects of universal design. The walk-through and the residents' evaluation were carried out by using 60 items related to the principles of universal design. The 18 pyung apartment complex and housing unit in Jangyou new town area was evaluated. Also, 100 residents living in that apartment housing unit were asked to evaluate these 60 items by using 5 point Likert scale. The walk-through with measuring and taking pictures was carried out by researchers. In general, the apartment house was not met the fundamental elements of universal design. Thus, it was not appropriate for the disabled or the elderly to live in. Specially, the door width of bathroom and kitchen balcony was too narrow to pass through. Also, the floor of entrance and bathroom was not flat, so that the wheelchair user cannot enter by alone. The residents evaluated negatively many items related to design, such as shape, color, and material. Therefore, in order to provide the living environments for diverse residents such as the elderly, or the disabled to live together, the new small-sized apartment houses should be designed on the base of the principles of universal design.

The present study is a preliminary research improving the dwelling quality of apartment house as a kind of multi-family housing. The purpose of the study is to find out the actual state on characteristics of indoor noise including residents' living in apartment units. The method was field survey consisted of field measurements on equivalent noise level, observation on noise type, and interview on residents' responses. Field survey were carried out in 20 occupied apartment units from January to March 2007. The results are as follows. 1) Averages of indoor noise levels including residents' living noise were measured as $43.9{\sim}62.2\;dB(A)_{Leq5min}$, the average of each house except one was higher than the permissible level, 45 dB(A). 2) The noise types observed were mostly residents' living noise and classified into 'water hammer', 'living equipment noise', 'noise by family', 'hood noise', 'kitchen noise' in own unit, 'walking and talking noise in stairs and corridors', 'noise by neighborhood house', 'noise by the upper story' in building, and outdoor noise. 3) The residents showed slightly non-positive responses at 'noise by the upper story', 'noise by neighborhood house', 'water hammer', and 'noise by family'. Therefore, it is required to plan for preventing deterioration of the dwelling quality by residents' living noise in own unit as well as by neighborhood houses.

This study is on investigation of sizes, functions and positions of storage space in the house, which is basically necessary for effective using of limit house space. The Storage spaces in Korean vernacular housings are intensively investigated to evaluate their usage and to ex-tend their utility for modern life. Data and materials on the storage spaces in typical houses were taken from the "NamSa Village" and Urban Single-Detached House provided by K.N.H.C. In order to get the fundamental materials, related references are widely investigated and interview and direct visiting have also been made. The results are obtained as follows. 1. There are many kinds of storage space in the rural detached house, however this space could approximately classified as five kinds. 2. The number of "BYUKJANG" and "BANCHIM" are more equipped in apartment houses rader than rural detached houses. 3. There are more kinds of storage space in the public detached houses rather than the public apartment houses. 4. In the apartment houses constructed by private companies, more storage space are generally equipped rather than public apartment houses. than public apartment houses.
