시험불안과 우울, 특성불안 및 상태불안과의 상호관계에 관한 연구 (RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEST-ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, TRAIT ANXIETY AND STATE ANXIETY)

  • 시험불안은 전세계적으로 학령기 아동 또는 청소년들이 공통적으로 경험하는 불안이라고 할 수 있다. 경우에 따라서는 어느 정도의 시험불안은 학습을 촉진시키기도 하지만 대부분의 경우에 학습을 저해시키는 요인으로 작용한다. 지난 수십년동안 시험불안의 요인이나 특성에 대하여 많은 연구들이 있어왔으나 단편적이며, 시험불안의 정확한 특성이나 원인에 대하여 아직 밝혀져 있지 않은 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 시험불안의 특성을 규명하기 위하여 시험불안과 상태-특성불안, 우울증과의 상호관련성에 관하여 알아보았다. 서울시내 한 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 하여 시험불안, 우울증, 상태-특성불안 간의 상호관계에 대하여 신뢰도와 타당도가 입증된 평가도구를 시용하여 상관성을 검증하였다. 시험불안과 우울증과의 상관성은 상관계수 0.56(p<0.05), 특성불안과의 상관성은 상관계수 0.53(p<0.05), 상태불안과의 상관성은 상관계수 0.75(p<0.05)로서 모두 의미있는 상관관계를 보여주었다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 시험불안은 단순한 시험불안이 아니라 우울증, 상태불안, 또는 특성불안과 밀접한 관계가 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 시험불안에 대한 치료적인 대책을 수립할 때에는 이러한 요인들이 고려되어야 한다.

Assessment of Korean Preservice Elementary Teachers' Science Teaching-anxiety and Science Teaching-efficacy

  • Science teaching-anxiety and science teaching-efficacy are influential factors in teachers' teaching practices and behaviors. In order to encourage elementary teachers to do better teaching practice, this study identified factors that have caused teachers' science teaching-anxiety, developed an instrument measuring science teaching-anxiety, and investigated the relationship between science teaching-anxiety and science teaching-efficacy. In addition, we attempted to suggest practical implications to enhance teachers' confidence in science teaching. The guiding research questions were 1) which factors affect science teaching-anxiety level of the preservice elementary teachers, and 2) how each factor of science teaching-anxiety is related to science teaching-efficacy. The subjects were 133 Korean preservice elementary teachers (57.1% were female) in a large city. The data sources included teachers' responses to three paper and pencil questionnaires: State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Science Teaching-Anxiety Questionnaire (STAQ), and Science Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument (STEBI-B). To clarify the science teaching-anxiety, we specified it into six factors: trait anxiety about nature of science and science teaching, state anxiety about instruction, science activities, student assessment, and professional responsibilities. The results indicated three significant aspects of science teaching anxiety and efficacy. First, their level of anxiety about professional responsibility and science teaching was relatively high among six factors. Second, there was a negative correlation between science teaching-anxiety and science teaching-efficacy. Third, trait anxiety about science teaching is the most influential factor for science teaching-efficacy while state anxiety about instruction and professional responsibilities were followed.

스마트기기 활용 인지행동 미술치료가 정서불안 아동의 변화에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Cognitive Behavioral Art Treatment Using Smart Devices on the Changes of an Emotionally Disturbed Child)

  • 본 연구는 스마트기기를 활용한 인지행동 미술치료가 정서불안을 드러내는 단일 연구참가자의 교육적 변화와 효과를 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 정서불안정으로 공격성과 충동성이 있는 초등학교 4학년 남아이다. 연구는 6개월 동안 매주 1-2회에 걸쳐 회당 80분, 총 30회의 교육처치가 실시되었다. 회당 80분의 시간 중 미술치료 60분, 인지행동치료 20분 교육프로그램이 적용되었으며, 30회 동안 스마트기기를 활용한 인지행동 미술치료기법(그리기 및 조형활동)을 비롯, 인지 재구조화 작업, 행동수정기법, 체계적 둔감법, 사회기술훈련, 공감훈련과 조망훈련, 자기주장훈련 등의 교육방법이 적용되었다. 연구측정도구로는 TAIC(Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children), BAI(Beck Anxiety Inventory), 정서적 불안정 척도가 활용되었다. 연구 결과 스마트기기를 활용한 인지행동 미술치료가 정서불안 아동에게 긍정적인 정서 변화의 효과성이 있음이 나타났으며, 이를 기반으로 체계적인 교수학습전략 의 필요성, 과학적 분석 및 환류기법 적용 등 향후 발전방향이 논의되었다.

다차원척도법을 이용한 귀비탕변증설문지(歸脾湯辨證設問紙)와 관련 설문지와의 비교 연구 (Comparison between Guibi-tang Questionnaire and Related Questionnaires using Multidimensional Scaling)

  • Objectives: Seven Emotions consist of Joy(喜), Anger(怒), Anxiety(憂), Thought(思), Sorrow(悲), Fear(恐), Fright(驚). If Seven Emotions are excessive, their extreme mental stimulations cause physical illness. The aim of the research is to make a proposal on the concept of Seven Emotions by a statistical comparison between guibi-tang questionnaire and health related questionnaires. Methods: We studied the similarities among three factors of guibi-tang questionnaire and three health related questionnaires(subjective symptoms of fatigue test, beck depression inventory, state-trait anxiety inventory, etc.) using multidimensional scaling. Results and Conclusions: 1. Physical-Emotion Dimension and Chronic-Acute Dimension were labelled in two-dimensional solution. 2. Seven Emotions and Fatigue have a high correlation. 3. Seven Emotions and Trait-Anxiety have a high correlation.

신체증상장애 환자의 복합 한의진료 경과 및 삶의 질 변화: 증례 보고 (Complex Korean Medicine Therapy for Somatic Symptom Disorder: Case Report)

  • This study aims to report the effectiveness of complex Korean medicine (KM) therapy on a somatic symptom disorder (SSD) patient. A 58-year-old woman had severe somatic pain for more than six months and showed accompanying anxiety and depression. KM doctors administered complex KM therapy to control her pain and psychological conditions. Her pain was rated using the numerical rating scale and her anxiety and depression symptoms with beck anxiety inventory and beck depression inventory. The somatic symptoms as well as the anxiety and depression significantly improved after KM treatment. This study suggests that complex KM therapy for SSD may be effective to manage both somatic and psychological symptoms.

불안을 동반한 주요우울장애 환자에 대한 뇌파 알파 비대칭의 특성 연구 (Electroencephalographic Alpha Asymmetry in Major Depressive Disorder Patients With Anxiety Symptoms)

  • Objectives : Studies have reported differences between depressed adults and controls in quantitative measures of EEG alpha asymmetry, but, there are few using Korean subjects. So, the present study compared EEG regional alpha asymmetries of patients having major depressive disorder(MDD) and normal controls. Methods : The subjects in this study were 11 unmedicated unipolar depressed patients and 11 non-depressed, age matched controls. Resting EEG(eyes closed and eyes open) was recorded from each participant using 8 scalp electrodes. Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HDRS), Zung's Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Spielberger's State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI) were used to evaluate depression and anxiety symptoms. Results : The severities of depression measured by self-report questionnaires were positively associated with those of anxiety(state and trait) ; The subjects were both anxious and depressed. Anxious-depressed patients differed from controls in alpha asymmetry at T4 channels. They showed evidence of greater activation over right than left temporal site. Conclusion : These findings are consistent with the previousely reported alpha asymmetry of depressed patients with an anxiety disorder. The failure to find the evidence of reduced right parietal activity in depression is presumed to be due to opposing effects of comorbid anxiety on parietotemporal activity.

정신분열병 환자의 우울증상과 불안증상이 Dexamethasone/Corticotropin Releasing Hormone 병합검사 결과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Depression and Anxiety Symptoms on the Results of Combined Dexamethasone/Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Test in Patients with Schizophrenia)

  • Objectives : The aim of this research is to determine the effects of depression and anxiety symptoms of schizophrenic psychopathology on the HPA axis. Methods : Twenty patients with schizophrenia were included and divided into the medication non-exposed group(n = 10) and the medication exposed group(n = 10). Evaluated scales were the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS), Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS), Scale for the Assessment of Positive Symptoms(SAPS), Hamilton Depression Inventory(HAM-D) and Hamilton Anxiety Inventory (HAM-A), and then the combined Dexamethasone/Corticotropin Releasing Hormone(DEX/CRH) test was conducted to determine the basal level, the peak level and the area under the curve(AUC) of cortisol and adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH). Results : When the correlations between each psychopathology and cortisol level or ACTH AUC value were analyzed, HAM-D showed a negative correlation, whereas HAM-A showed a positive correlation. Also, the non-depression group(HAM-D ${\leq}$ 18) showed higher cortisol and ACTH concentrations than the depression group(HAM-D > 18), and the anxiety group(HAM-A ${\geq}$ 14) showed significantly higher concentrations than the non-anxiety group(HAM-D < 14)(p < 0.05). Also, as for the comparison between the medication non-exposed group and the medication exposed group, the non-exposed group showed significantly higher cortisol and ACTH concentration than exposed group(p < 0.05). Conclusion : This study suggest that anxiety symptoms rather than depression symptoms are related to the increased activity of the HPA axis of schizophrenics.

기초학습부진으로 의뢰된 일 광역시의 일반학급 초등학생의 심리, 정신과적 평가 및 부모의 특성 (Clinical Diagnoses, Psychopathology, and Neurocognitive Tests in Children Referred for Scholastic Difficulties and Their Parents)

  • Objectives:This study examined the prevalence of psychiatric problems in children with scholastic difficulties who had been referred for mental health services from the Office of Education in Ulsan Metropolitan City. Methods:Child psychiatrists evaluated the referred children using the DSM-IV. Evaluation tools included the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III, the Children's Depression Inventory, the Korean form of the State-trait anxiety Inventory for children, the ADHD rating. Results:Seventy-six children consisting of 64 boys (84.2%) and 12 girls (15.8%) participated in the study. The average age was 10.3 (SD=0.93) years old. Approximately 74% of the children referred for scholastic difficulties were diagnosed with mental retardation. The Axis I diagnosis among these children were ADHD (86.8%), depression (21.1%), learning disorder (9.2%), communication disorder (4.8%), pervasive developmental disorder (3.6%), internet addiction (1.3%), and mood disorder (1.3%). Their overall measure according to the Child Depression Inventory was 22.7 (SD=16.8), that for the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children was 33.3 (SD=7.9)/32.4 (SD=9.5), and that for the ADHD rating scale was 18.9 (SD=10.9). Conclusion:These results suggest that many children with scholastic difficulties have both complex psychiatric and educational problems.

백혈병 환아 어머니의 불안정도 (The Anxiety of Mothers with Leukemic Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of anxiety for the mothers of leukemic children and to provide the fundamental data for the better performance of caring to them. The subjects were 292 mothers : 100 mothers whose children had a leukemia, 80 mothers whose children had taken a tonsillectomy, 112 mothers whose children with medical disease except cancer. The data were collected through The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory of Spilberger and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA Scheffe test. The results were as follows ; 1. The state anxiety mean score of mothers with leukemic children was 54.16. 2. The state anxiety of mothers with leukemic children was higher than that of the rest (F=8.00, P=0.0004). 3. There was no significant difference in anxiety of mothers with leukemic children in relation to leukemic children's and their mother's general characteristics.

탁아의 질과 어머니 자아존중감에 따른 어머니 격리불안 (Maternal Separation Anxiety on Quality of Day Care and Mother's Self-Esteem)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the maternal separation anxiety depending on the quality of day care and mother's self-esteem. subjects consisted of 187 mothers who had children from 60 t 36 months of age. the instruments used were the questionnaires which consisted of the Maternal separation anxiety scale(Cho and park, 1992), Self-Esteem Inventory(Coopersmith, 1967), and the checklist which consisted of the early childhood environment Rating scale(Harms & Clifford, 1980) and the Family Day Care Rating scale(Harms & Clifford, 1989). The datas were analyzed by the statistical method based o frequency, percentile, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The main results were as follows : First, there was a significant difference in maternal separation anxiety by mothers' age and not by their educational levels. Second, there were no significant differences in maternal separation anxiety by children's age, sex, and girth order. Third, there was no significant difference in maternal separation anxiety by quality of day 2 care, size of group, and adult-child ratio. Forth, there was a significant differences in maternal separation anxiety by mother's self-esteem.
