홍삼과 매실식초 혼합 음료의 고강도 운동을 실시한 흰쥐에서 항피로 효과 (Anti-fatigue effect of a beverage mixture containing red ginseng and Prunus mume fruit vinegar on high-intensity exercised rats)

  • 본 연구는 매실식초 및 홍삼농축액 혼합 음료의 증진된 피로회복 효과를 확인하고자 유기산 함량과 고강도 운동 쥐모델에서 항피로 관련 인자를 측정하였다. 홍삼농축액 및 매실식초 혼합 음료 내 유기산 함량은 acetic acid가 1,654.17 ppm으로 가장 높은 함량을 보였고, malic acid와 citric acid가 각각 617.28, 600.12 ppm으로 확인되었다. 항피로 관련 인자 중 지구력을 측정한 결과, 홍삼매실식초 혼합음료(RPV)를 섭취한 군에서 138.83 min으로 가장 높은 지구력을 보였으며, 혈중 무기인산과 암모니아 및 젖산 함량은 0.67 mM, 24.28 mmol/L 및 1.75 mM으로 유의적으로 가장 낮은 수치를 보였다. 또한, 간 및 근육 내 글리코겐 함량에서 RPV는 각각 288.4, 22.84 ㎍/g으로 가장 높은 함량을 나타냈다. RPV의 혈청 및 근육조직 내 creatine kinase 함량은 465.42와 33.05 U/L로 유의적으로 가장 낮은 값으로 확인되었으며, 근육 내 lactate dehydrogenase 함량은 RPV에서 가장 높은 값인 140.13 U/L로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 풍부한 유기산을 가진 매실식초 및 홍삼농축액 혼합 음료의 섭취는 매실식초 또는 홍삼농축액의 단일 섭취에 비해 증진된 항피로 효과를 나타낸다는 것을 확인하였으며, 이는 피로회복 기능성식품 소재로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • F-22, F-16 및 F-15와 같은 고성능 전투기는 전투성능의 극대화를 위해 고기동성(highly maneuverable)을 보유하고 있다. 이로 인해 고기동 시에 조종사는 고중력가속도(high gravity acceleration)에 노출되고 피로도(fatigue)의 증가로 임무효율의 저하가 발생하며, 심할 경우에는 의식상실(Gravity-induced Loss Of Consciousness, GLOC)에 직면할 수 있다. 선진 항공업체에서는 조종사가 고중력가속도에 견딜 수 있는 내성을 향상시켜 의식상실에 진입하는 것을 방지하는 다양한 기술을 항공기에 적용하고 있다. 특히, 가속도방호복(Anti-G Suit)은 GLOC으로 인한 의식 상실을 방지할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 전투 기동 시에 조종사의 피로를 감소시킴으로써 임무성공률을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 초음속 고등훈련기 모델을 기반으로 하여 고기동 시에 중력가속도의 증가에 따라 AGS에 최적의 공기압을 제공할 수 있는 제어알고리즘을 개발하고 검증하였다. 이러한 결과는 추후에 체계개발이 진행될 한국형전투기개발사업(Korean Fighter eXperimental, KF-X)에서 핵심기술을 개발하는데 기여하리라 기대한다.

ABS 작동에 의한 캘리퍼하우징에 미치는 피로손상평가 (Fatigue Damage Analysis of the Caliper Housing under ABS Mode)

  • The brakes are the most important safety-critical accident avoidance components of a motor vehicle. They must perform safely under a variety of operating conditions and must have enough strength not to fail during the life of a vehicle. Recently, anti-lock brake systems are used on more and more passenger cars. The ABS brakes modulate brake line pressure to prevent brakes from locking during braking. In this study, finite element analysis, material test for FCD45, measurement of stress and cumulative fatigue damage analysis were performed to evaluate fatigue damage of the caliper housing under ABS mode.

Effects of Fermented Ssanghwatang on Swimming Capacity in Mice

  • Swimming enhancing effects of ssanghwatang fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisae in mice were investigated, and then the blood biochemical parameters related to fatigue were measured. Compared to the control group, the swimming time was significantly increased in fermented ssanghwatang (FST) group from day 4 ($29.27{\pm}4.73$ vs. $50.27{\pm}9.05\;min$, p<0.05). The lactate level, an important indicator of fatigue, was drastically lower in FST group than in control group ($2.13{\pm}0.13$ vs. $1.40{\pm}0.12\;mmole/L$, p<0.01). These results suggest that FST possesses stimulatory effects which can enhance exercise performance and reduce fatigue.

다탄성 Insole의 Workload 감소 효과에 관한 연구 (The Study on Workload Reducing Effects of Multi-Elastic Insoles)

  • The Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) can be occurred by various factors such as repetition, forceful exertions and awkward postures. Especially, occurrences of the WMSDs on the waist and lower limb are reported in workplaces, demanded standing postures for a long time, in service and manufacturing industry. The static and standing postures without movement for a long time increase work loads to the lower limb and the waist. Accordingly, anti-fatigue mat or anti-fatigue insole is used as a preventing device of the WMSDs. However anti-fatigue mats are limited in space and movement. In this study, multi-elastic insoles are designed and shown the effects of the workload reduction for a long time under the standing work. The foot pressures and EMG (Electromyography) are measured at 0 hour and after 2 hours by 6 health students in their twenties. The 6 prototype insoles are designed with three elastic (Low, Medium and High). These insoles are compared with no insole (insole type 7) as control group. The EMG measurement was conducted to waist (erector spinae muscle), thigh (vastus lateralis muscle) and calf (gastrocnemius muscle). The foot pressure is analyzed by mean pressure value and the EMG analysis is investigated through MF (Median Frequency), MPF (Mean Power Frequency) and ZCR (Zero Crossing Rate). The results of the foot pressure show that the multi-elastic insoles had smaller foot pressure value than that of no-insole. Moreover, Insole 2 and Insole 3 have the smallest increasing rate in foot pressure. The EMG results show that the multi-elastic insoles had smaller EMG shift value than that of no-insole in 2 hour, and then shift value shows the smallest value in Insole 2. Therefore, this study presents that the multi-elastic insoles have reducing effects of the work load for a long time standing work in both side of foot pressure and EMG.

  • 고무재료는 배합조건에 따라 기계적 거동이 다르기 때문에 피로수명평가를 위해 부품소재에 대한 물성데이터 확보가 선행되어야 한다. 그러나 모든 종류의 배합조건을 고려하여 표준화된 재료물성을 확보하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최소한의 제한된 실험으로부터 피로수명평가를 위한 입력물성을 선택하기 위한 방법을 제시하였으며, 피로수명 평가를 위한 최적 피로손상 파라미터를 결정하였다. 이러한 결과를 활용하여 부품의 피로수명 평가결과와 내구시험결과를 비교한 후, 본 연구에서 제안된 피로수명 평가절차의 타당성을 검토하였다.

선박용 프로펠러축 방식처리용 복합재료의 제조와 그 정적 및 피로특성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Processing of Anti-Corrosive Composites for Propeller Shaft of the Ship and the Evaluation of Its Static and Fatigue Properties)

  • Kind 1 propeller shaft in ships is the shaft which is provided with effective measures against corrosion by sea water, or the shaft which is made of approved corrosion resistance materials. The propeller shaft other than specified above is Kind 2. Thus, this study is mainly concerned with the resistance to fatigue damage in sea water against stress concentrations due to the notches. The results obtained can be summarized as follows; (1) The stress increases with curing time, however, when the curing time reaches at 96 hours the stress becomes a constant value. The elongation decreases with curing time, however, when the curing time reaches at 48 hours the elongation becomes a constant value. Thus, in case of FRP coating on propeller shaft, it is necessary to cure for 48 hours at least. (2) The relation of $\sigma$$_n$-K$_t$ is to be classified into two parts, which is a part where fracture nominal stress, $\sigma$$_n$, decreases with increasing $K_t$, and a part where $\sigma$$_n$ is nearly constant independent of $K_t$. (3) According to a linear notch mechanics, the measure of severity controlling the fracture in notched FRP body is the notch root radius, $\rho$. The notched static strength of an arbitrary specimen will be estimated from $\sigma$$_{max}$ -1/$\rho$ curve. (4) Through the observation of cross section after fatigue test, the part of interface was kept good condition irrespective of loading conditions.

  • CT 시험편을 사용하여 평면응력 파괴인성치를 산정하는 간단하고 새로운 방법론을 제안하였다. 평면응력 조건하의 균열선단에서 발생하는 좌굴을 방지하는 판을 부착하여 SS304와 SS316의 평면응력 파괴인성치를 정확하게 결정하였다. SS304와 SS316의 피로균열 전파거동이 피로하중 주파수에 미치는 영향을 영상해석법(LAT)을 사용하여 규명하였다.

Effect of anti-skin disorders of ginsenosides- A Systematic Review

  • Ginsenosides are bioactive components of Panax ginseng with many functions such as anti-aging, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, anti-fatigue, and anti-tumor. Ginsenosides are categorized into dammarane, oleanene, and ocotillol type tricyclic triterpenoids based on the aglycon structure. Based on the sugar moiety linked to C-3, C-20, and C-6, C-20, dammarane type was divided into protopanaxadiol (PPD) and protopanaxatriol (PPT). The effects of ginsenosides on skin disorders are noteworthy. They play antiaging roles by enhancing immune function, resisting melanin formation, inhibiting oxidation, and elevating the concentration of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Thus, ginsenosides have previously been widely used to resist skin diseases and aging. This review details the role of ginsenosides in the anti-skin aging process from mechanisms and experimental research.

  • P. ginseng C.A. Meyer is one of the most widely used herbal medicine in Asia. It has been used for the treatment of many disorders. Its major constituent is known to be ginsenosides, and there are many documents about bioactivities of ginsenosides such as anti-oxidant, anti-tumorigenic, anti-fatigue, and anti-inflammatory activities. Some of these activities are supposed to have some correlation with inhibitory action of cyclooxygenase (COX). Ginsenosides from P. ginseng and sapogenins were evaluated for their inhibitory effects against both cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 (COX-1 and -2). Inhibitory activity was evaluated by measuring prostaglandin E$_2$ (PGE$_2$) production from arachidonic acid with an ELISA reader. (omitted)
