Thin film transistors (TFTs) with amorphous 2 wt% silicon-doped zinc tin oxide (a-2SZTO) channel layer were fabricated using an RF magnetron sputtering system, and the effect of post-annealing treatment time on the structural and electrical properties of a-2SZTO systems was investigated. It is well known that Si can effectively reduce the generation of oxygen vacancies. However, it is interesting to note that prolonged annealing could have a bad effect on the roughness of a-2SZTO systems, since the roughness of a-2SZTO thin films increases in proportion to the thermal annealing treatment time. Thermal annealing can control the electrical characteristics of amorphous oxide semiconductor (AOS) TFTs. It was observed herein that prolonged annealing treatment can cause bumpy roughness, which led to increase of the contact resistance between the electrode and channel. Thus, it was confirmed that deterioration of the electrical characteristics could occur due to prolonged annealing. The longer annealing time also decreased the field effect mobility. The a-2SZTO TFTs annealed at 500℃ for 2 hours displayed the mobility of 2.17 cm2/Vs. As the electrical characteristics of a-2SZTO annealed at a fixed temperature for long periods were deteriorated, careful optimization of the annealing conditions for a-2SZTO, in terms of time, should be carried out to achieve better performance.

The Sr$\_$0.8/Si$\_$2.4/Ta$_2$O$\_$9/(SBT) thin films are deposited on Pt-coated electrode(Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si) using RF magnetron sputtering method. With increasing post-annealing temperature from 600[$^{\circ}C$] to 850[$^{\circ}C$], Bi-layered perovskite phase was crystallized above 650[$^{\circ}C$]. The maximum remanent polarization and the coercive electric field is 11.60[${\mu}$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$], 48[kV/cm] respectively. The leakage current density of SBT capacitor at post-annealing temperature of 750[$^{\circ}C$] is 1.01${\times}$10$\^$-8/ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 100[kV/cm]. The fatigue characteristics of SBT thin films did not change up to 10$\^$10/ switching cycles.
In this paper, We deposited the BST thin-film on p-type (100)Si, (100)MgO and MgO/Si substrates respectively using RF magnetron sputtering method. After the BST thin-fil m was deposited, we performed RTA(rapid thermal anneal) at $600^{\circ}C$, oxygen atmosphere and 1 min. In the XRD measurement, we observed the (110) $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ main peak in all samples and the peak intensity increased after post annealing. Then we manufactured a capacitor using Al Electrode and measured I-V, C-V. In C-V measurement result values for each substrate, dielectric constant was calculated 120 (bare Si), 305(MgO/Si), 310(MgO) respectively. A leakage current density was present less than 1 $\mu\textrm{A/cm}^2$ at applied fields below 0.3 MV/cm. In conclusion we confirmed that MgO/Si substrates give good results for BST thin-film deposition.
Titanium oxide thin films were prepared on Si(100) substrates by R.F. magnetron reactive sputtering at $30\sim200watt$ R.F power range, and annealed at $600^{\circ}C\sim800^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The properties of $TiO_2$ thin films were analyzed using x-ray, ${\alpha}-step$, ellipsometer, scanning electron microscopy, and FT-IR spectrometer. Upon in-situ depositions, the initial phase of $TiO_2$ thin film showed non-crystalline phase at R.F. power $30\sim100$ watt. The crosssection of $TiO_2$ thin films were sbserved to be the columnar structure. With the increasing R.F power and annealing temperature, the grain size, crystallinity, refractive index, and void size of titanium oxides showed a tended to increase. The FT-IR transmittance spectra of titanium oxide thin films have the obsorption band of Ti-O bond, Si-O bond, Si-O-Ti bond and O-H bond. With the increase of R.F. power and annealing temperature, these films have the stronger bond structures. It is considered that such a phenomena is due to phase transition and good crystallinity

Resistive-change random access memory (ReRAM) device is one of the promising candidates owing to its simple structure, high scalability potential and low power operation. Many resistive switching devices using transition metal oxides materials such as NiO, Al2O3, ZnO, HfO2, $TiO_2$, have attracting increased attention in recent years as the next-generation nonvolatile memory. Among various transition metal oxides materials, HfO2 has been adopted as the gate dielectric in advanced Si devices. For this reason, it is advantageous to develop an HfO2-based ReRAM devices to leverage its compatibility with Si. However, the annealing temperature of these high-k thin films for a suitable resistive memory switching is high, so there are several reports for low temperature process including microwave irradiation. In this paper, we demonstrate the bipolar resistive switching characteristics in the microwave irradiation annealing processed Ag/HfO2/Pt ReRAM device. Compared to the as-deposited Ag/HfO2/Pt device, highly improved uniformity of resistance values and operating voltage were obtained from the micro wave annealing processed HfO2 ReRAM device. In addition, a stable DC endurance (>100 cycles) and a high data retention (>104 sec) were achieved.
$YMnO_3$thin films are deposited on Si(100) and $Y_2O_3/Si(100)$ substrate by radio frequency sputtering. The deposition condition of oxygen partial pressure and annealing temperature have significant influences on the preferred orientation of $YMnO_3$film and the size of memory window. The results of x-ray diffraction show that the film deposited in the oxygen partial pressure of 0% is highly oriented along c-axis after annealing at $870^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr in oxygen ambient. However, the films deposited on Si and $Y_2O_3/Si$ in the oxygen partial pressures of 20% show $Y_2O_3$ peak, the excess $Y_2O_3$ in the $YMnO_3$film suppresses the c-axis oriented crystallization. Especially memory windows of the $Pt/YMnO_3/Y_2O_3/Si$ capacitor are 0.67~3.65 V at applied voltage of 2~12 V, which is 3 times higher than that of the film deposited on $Y_2O_3/Si$ in 20% oxygen (0.19~1.21 V) at the same gate voltage because the film deposited in 0% oxygen is well crystallized along c-axis.
Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin film phosphors were prepared on Si(100) wafers and ITO coated glass substrates by rf magnetron sputtering technique and the effects of the substrates dopant and the sputtering paramet-ers were analyzed, Changes of the oreintation were observed after annealine tratment. The grain size of {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} : Mn thin film deposited on Si wafer was smaller than that on ITO/glass substrate which resulted in higher PL intensity. The PL spectra of Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin films showed sharp green luminescence spec-trum. According to CL spectrum it could be concluded that Mn ions acted as an actuator for green emission by substituting Zn atom sites.
A chemically stabilized $\beta$-cristobalite, which is stabilized by stuffing cations of $Ca^{2+}$ and $Al^{3+}$, was prepared by a solution-polymerization route employing Pechini resin or PVA solution as a polymeric carrier. The polymeric carrier affected the crystallization temperature, morphology of calicined powder, and particle size distribution. In case of the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution process, a fine $\beta$-cristobalite powder with a narrow particle size distribution (average particle size : 0.3$\mu\textrm{m}$) and a BET specific surface area of 72 $\m^2$/g was prepared by an attrition-milling for 1 h after calcination at 110$0^{\circ}C$ for 1h. Wider particle size distribution and higher specific surface area were observed for the $\beta$-cristobalite powder derived from Pechini resin. The cubie(P1-to-tetraganalb) phase transformation in polynystalline $\beta$-cristobalite was induced at approximately 18$0^{\circ}C$. Like other materials showing transformation toughening, a critical size effect controlled the $\beta$-to-$\alpha$ transformation. Densifed cristobalite sample had some cracks in its internal texture after annealing. The cracks, occurred spontaneoulsy on cooling, were observed in the sample with an average grain sizes of 4.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$ or above. In case of the sintered cristobalite having a composition of CaO.$2Al_2O_3$.40SiO$_2$, small amount of amorphous phase and slow grain growth during annealing were observed. Shear stress-induced transformation was also observed in ground specimen. Cristobalite having a composition of CaO.2Al2O3.80SiO2 showed a more sensitive response to shear stress than the CaO.$2Al_2O_3$.40SiO$_2$ type cristobalite. Shear-induced transformation resulted in an increase of volume about 13% in $\alpha$-cristobalite phase on annealing for above 10 h in the case of the former composition.

Europium$(Eu^{2+}\;or\;Eu^{3+})$-activated calcium aluminium silicate phosphors were synthesized for the first time and the structures and luminescence characteristics of these phosphors were investigated. The phosphors in this study emitted blue, green, and even red light depending on the starting milterials and annealing conditions for synthesis. In addition, the structure was also changed when the different starting materials were used. When $CaCO_3$ was used as a starting material, tetragonal $Ca_2Al_2SiO_7$ was formed. However, pure green light was emitted when the annealing was conducted in reduced atmosphere and red one was emitted by annealing in air. In the case of $CaSiO_3$ as a starting material, triclinic $CaAl_2Si_2O_8$ was formed and only pure blue emission was observed. Moreover, this blue phosphor exhibited higher intensity than that of commercial YAG:Ce phosphor, which showed the possibility of application on the phosphor for new light source such as a UV-LED.
Scattering measurement on high reflection dielectric multilayer mirrors deposited on quartz substrate in a vacuum chamber were performed using a total integrated scattering method. Scattering of (Ta$_2$$O_5$/SiO$_2$) multilayer mirrors deposited at 250-30$0^{\circ}C$ was 0.048-0.050% and did not change with an annealing at 30$0^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours. On the other hand, scattering of (TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$) multilayer mirror at 25$0^{\circ}C$ was 0.029% and it showed the heavy tensile stress after an annealing. The rms roughness of (Ta$_2$$O_5$/SiO$_2$) multilayer mirror was almost the same as that of (TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$)multilayer mirror. The column size of Ta$_2$$O_5$ film was smaller than that of TiO$_2$film and the packing density of (Ta$_2$$O_5$/SiO$_2$) multilayer mirrors was higher than that of (TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$) multilayer mirror. It seems that the higher packing density and smaller column size of Ta$_2$$O_5$ films lead to more scattering.
