뇌기반 예술교육 융합연구의 현황 - 애니메이션 드로잉 교육을 위한 기초연구 (Status of Brain-based Artistic Education Fusion Study - Basic Study for Animation Drawing Education)

  • 본 연구는 다분야간의 학제적 융합연구를 진행하는 과정으로 뇌기반 학습 원리와 이미지 창작의 뇌과학적 기제를 고려한 예술교육의 선행 연구현황을 알아보는 과정이다. 최근에 이르러 각 분야의 교육방법을 타 분야와의 웅합적 연구 활동으로 생산해 내는 것이 트렌드로 부상하고 있고, 이에 힘입어 뇌기반 교육 융합연구의 결과들이 각 분야마다 발표되고 있다. 음악, 미술, 무용과 같은 예술 분야 또한 해당된다. 즉, 창작과 학습이 이루어지는 동안 뇌의 작동원리를 이해하고 해당 기능을 발달시킬 수 있는 여러 원리를 교수법으로 적용하면 예술적 수행 능력과 창의성이 효율적으로 신장된다는 관점이다. 애니메이션 드로잉은 단순히 사물을 똑같이 그리는 소묘적 관점에서 벗어나 움직임의 요소를 직감적으로 인식하고 대상과의 소통을 통해 연출할 수 있어야 하기에 형태구현의 인지적 관점 뿐만 아니라 고차원적 인지감각의 요소, 소통의 방법까지를 포함한 체계적인 교육방법을 개발할 필요성이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 애니메이션 드로잉의 전문적인 특성을 고려한 교육모형을 설계하기 위해 뇌기반 원리를 적용한 예술교육에 대한 문헌 연구결과를 제시한다. 이에 뇌기반 예술교육의 적용사례를 해외의 흐름과 국내의 흐름을 추출 분석하였다. 또한 뇌기반 원리를 적용한 미술교육연구의 사례와 드로잉관련 교육의 사례의 연구결과를 분석하였다. 분석된 결과에 따르면 드로잉관련 뇌기반 학습은 우뇌 트레이닝을 통한 관찰력과 집중력, 이미지표현과 관계된 창의력, 긍정정서의 변화에 증진 효과를 공통적으로 드러났다. 그 외에도 뇌파훈련을 통한 해외의 학습적용 사례가 있었는데 타이밍능력과 예술표현력은 HRV 훈련과 SMR, 베타1, 알파/세타파를 강화하는 뉴로피드백 훈련으로 증진 효과를 보았으며, 느린 뇌파 뉴로피드백 훈련이 스트레스를 극복하고 창의적 미술 수행능력을 향상시키는데 큰 기여를 하고 있음을 제시하고 있다. 이 연구결과가 의미하는 것은 뉴로피드백 훈련이 실험실 범위를 벗어난 예술적 실교육의 환경에서도 성공적으로 적용될 수 있다는 것을 보여준 사례라는 점에서 의미가 크지만 기계를 사용해야하는 것은 교수법으로 적용하기엔 한계가 있음이 드러남으로 인해 추후 애니메이션 드로잉 교육법에 뇌기반 학습원리를 적용, 설계하기위한 분석적 토대를 마련하기에 의의가 있다 하겠다.

  • 디지털 시대에서 컴퓨터 기술의 발전은 각종 사물의 표현력을 강화시키고 있다. 영상에 있어서 컴퓨터그래픽의 발전은 인간이 상상하고 있는 이미지를 현실세계에서 구현 불가능한 것을 효과적으로 나타내고 있다. 영화 등 컴퓨터 그래픽 기술은 영상제작에 있어 전체 흐름의 중심을 차지하는 핵심적인 요소로 발전하고 있으나 국내의 경우, 영상 콘텐츠의 제작 과정에서 연구 개발을 병행하기 어려운 열악한 상황이고 해외 상용 툴에 대한 의존도가 높은 것이 사실이다. 영상합성의 제작에서 실사장면을 촬영하고 실사영상을 컴퓨터 그래픽 이미지에 매치무빙 하는 과정은 매우 복잡한 과정을 거치게 된다. 이 때 중요하게 고려되어야 할 사항이 카메라 트래킹이다. 카메라 트래킹은 촬영된 실사영상만으로 실사카메라의 3차원 이동정보와 광학적 파라미터 등 촬영시의 3차원 공간을 복원하는 과정을 포함하고 있다. 이 과정에서 카메라 트래킹에 대한 오류로 인해 실사와 CG의 합성에 대한 생산성에 많은 문제점을 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 소프트웨어에서 트래킹데이터를 보정하는 방법을 제안한다.

삼국유사의 멀티미디어화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Multimedia Design of Samkuk Yusa)

  • 삼국유사는 한국 역사 연구에 있어 매우 중요한 고전 중 하나이다. 삼국유사는 삼국시대의 야사, 옛 언어, 시가 등이 담겨있는 역사서로서 해방 이후, 많은 번역작업이 이루어져 왔다. 삼국유사에 대해서는 학술적으로 많은 연구가 있어 왔으나, 그동안 많은 내용이 신문, 방송 매체에서 역사 다큐멘터리의 소재로서도 다루어져 왔다. 그러나, 그 내용을 접하는 방법에 있어서는 종전의 매체가 그러했듯이 한 방향의 전달만이 있었을 뿐이었다. 본 연구는 삼국유사를 멀티미디어적인 방법으로 데이터베이스화함으로써 상호작용성을 이용한 정보검색의 새로운 방법을 연구함으로써 학술적 연구의 성과의 보다 효과적인 활용방법을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다.

신화를 활용한 애니메이션 스튜디오의 스토리텔링 전략 -디즈니<미녀와 야수>와 드림웍스<슈렉>의 비교분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the storytelling strategy of Animation Studio using Mythology - Based on the comparative analysis of Disney and Dream Works )

  • 문화산업시장의 확장으로 다양한 경쟁구도가 형성되면서 상업적 성공을 위한 제작사들의 방법론이 논의되고 있다. 그 중에서도 할리우드의 스튜디오들은 단순한 상업논리를 넘어 정치사회 관계를 이용하며, 작품에는 최상의 이익을 창출시킬 수 있는 특정 이데올로기를 적용시킨다. 또한 이런 이데올로기를 효과적으로 전달할 수 있는 구조를 활용하는데, 그 대표적인 것이 바로 신화이다. 오랜 세월에 거쳐 대중에 의해 전해내려 온 신화는 집단을 만족시키는 전략들을 가지고 있다. 캠벨은 이런 전략들을 원질신화의 정형화된 구조로 도출시켰고, 신화가 현존하는 권력과 어떤 관계를 맺는가에 따라 이데올로기가 드러난다고 했다. 제작사들은 원질신화의 구조에 자신들의 특정 가치를 접목시켜 이데올로기를 담는데, 디즈니와 드림웍스의 작품에서도 이를 찾아볼 수 있다. 디즈니와 드림웍스는 전혀 다른 성장배경 속에서 상반되는 이데올로기를 선택한다. 디즈니가 검열의 역사를 경험하며 사회 지배층과의 유착을 통해 보수의 교육적 애니메이션으로 인정받는다면, 드림웍스는 이런 디즈니의 가치를 전복시키는 진보주의의 반성적 시각으로 대중들에게 지지를 받는다. 디즈니가 작품에 보수적, 애국적 성향을 담는다면 드림웍스는 좀 더 자유주의적, 다국적 성향을 보여준다. 이런 대립의 관계는 서로의 존재를 통해 상호작용하는데, 디즈니의 구조가 선행되고 이를 패러디하는 드림웍스의 구조가 나타나면서 두 가치를 비교할 수 있는 담론이 존재하는 것이다. 그렇다면 신화의 구조를 기준으로 두 스튜디오의 작품을 분석해봄으로써 전혀 다른 이데올로기를 전달하는 변형 구조를 알아볼 수 있을 것이다. 이데올로기를 담아내는 스토리텔링 구조를 도출해내기 위해 유사한 신화를 품고 있는 디즈니의 <미녀와 야수>와 드림웍스의 <슈렉>을 비교 분석해 보았다. 분석 결과 디즈니와 드림웍스는 원질신화의 17단계 중 이데올로기 전달의 핵심 9단계를 선택해 소개, 성장, 완성의 단위로 축약하고 있었다. 소명을 소개하는 1단위에서 디즈니는 타고난 상위모방 양식의 주인공을 통해 지배층을 위해 희생하는 사회지도자의 주제를 다뤘고, 드림웍스는 아이러니 주인공을 통해 몰락한 지배층의 전복을 암시했다. 디즈니가 백인중심의 가부장제를 따르는 주인공과 피지배층, 그림자에 유색인종을 배치했다면 드림웍스는 주인공에서부터 주변인물까지 다양한 인종을 활용하고 있었다. 성장의 방향을 보여주는 2단위에서 디즈니는 지배층의 보수적 가치를 받아들이는 과정을 구조화하고, 드림웍스는 사회의 가치가 아닌 개인의 가치를 깨닫는 구조를 보여줬다. 마지막 3단위에서는 완성된 결과를 보여주는데, 디즈니는 지배층의 세상을 재건하고 여기에 편입한 주인공을 보여주며, 드림웍스는 지배층을 전복시키고 개인의 삶으로 귀환해 삶의 다양성을 인정했다. 디즈니와 드림웍스의 구조를 통해 이데올로기에 따라 변형되는 신화구조의 활용방법을 알 수 있었다. 자신들의 이데올로기를 담은 메시지 전달을 위해 적절한 여정의 구조와 인물들이 재구성 되는 것처럼 스토리텔링의 전략적 접근이 필요할 것이다.

한국 특촬물 시리즈에 나타난 과학적 인식 - <지구용사 벡터맨>을 중심으로 (Scientific Awareness appearing in Korean Tokusatsu Series - With a focus on Vectorman: Warriors of the Earth)

  • <지구용사 벡터맨>은 한국 특촬물 시리즈를 대표하는 작품이자 특촬물 시리즈 중 가장 큰 성공을 거둔 작품이다. 이 작품이 등장할 수 있었던 것은 80년대 중반부터 계속된 일본 특촬물의 인기와 로봇 애니메이션의 유행이 있었기 때문이다. 한국의 텔레비전 방송에서는 어린이 프로그램의 고질적인 문제인 수입프로그램의 범람과 거듭된 재방송으로 인해 국산 어린이 프로그램에 대한 필요성이 꾸준히 대두되고 있었다. 그러나 90년대 중반 한국 애니메이션의 인기가 줄어들면서 애니메이션 제작에 대한 부담감 또한 증가할 수밖에 없었다. 그로 인해 <지구용사 벡터맨>은 애니메이션이 아닌 특촬물로 제작되었는데, 이때 특수효과기술을 방송국에서도 사용할 수 있는 환경이 조성되던 시기적 특성과 맞물려 컴퓨터 시각효과가 적극적으로 사용되었다. <지구용사 벡터맨>이라는 새로운 국산 특촬물 시리즈의 등장에 대한 반응은 폭발적이었다. 벡터맨 시리즈는 이제 우주의 과학기술이라는 모호한 단어 대신 DNA 합성, 뇌세포 변이, 특수심리조종장치 등 구체적인 과학적 용어들을 활용해 우주적 존재들의 능력을 설명한다. 비록 그 과정과 원인에 대해서 상세하게 말할 수는 없으나 공상과학이 아닌 구체적 용어들로 정의되는 모습은, 이제 한국사회에 과학적 상상력이 구체적인 형태로 발현되고 있음을 보여 준다. 그리고 벡터맨과 우주인들의 동등한 관계는 지구의 과학 용어로 설명되는 우주의 과학은 지구로 대변되는 한국 과학 기술 발전에 대한 자신감의 표현이기도 하다. 그러나 여성캐릭터들은 과학의 영역으로 진출하지 못하고 여전히 비과학적 존재로 묘사되며 과학적 인식에 대한 한계를 드러낸다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N.
