동남아시아의 열대지역 동굴에서 톡토기를 채집하기 위해 Luzon(필리핀), 파푸아뉴기니아, Sulawesi(인도네시아), 말라야, 타이랜드에 수차 원정을 실시하였다. Acherontiella, Pseudosinella, Sinella, Oncopodura, Arrhopalites 등 속들이 조사지역의 모든 동굴에서 서식하고 있었다. 그러나 수개 속은 분포상 매우 제한되어 있었다. Troglopedetes는 동남아시아 대륙에서는 현저한 분화상을 보였으나 다른곳에서는 볼 수 없었다. Coecoloba는 파푸아 뉴기니아에서만 관찰될 뿐이고 멀리 떨어져 한국과 일본지역에서 다시 나타나고 있다. 대개의 종들은 토양산 계통으로 현재까지 유존종으로 생각되는 것은 발견되지 않았다.

1985년부터 1987년에 걸쳐 남한의 동·서·남해로부터 채집된 해면동물과 그 동안 미해결로 보류되어 있던 표본들을 조사한 결과 총 24종이 밝혀졌는데 이중에서 23종은 보통해면류 이었으며 6종이 한국미기록종이고, 1 종은 육방해면동물로서 신종임이 판명되어 Aphrocallistes jejuensis 라고 명명기재한다. 한국미기록종에 대하여는 특기와 도판을 첨가하였다.

남한의 8개 지역에서 채취한 토양시료에서 Acerentomidae 과에 속하는 낫발이목(곤충강) 8종이 동정되었다. 이 가운데에는 2개의 신종으로 Filientomon bipartitei n. sp.와 F. imadtei n.sp . 그리고 2개의 한국미기록종으로 Kenyentulus japonicus (Imad, 1961)와 Baculentulus nipponicus Nakamura, 1985 가 포함되어 있다. 따라서 한국산 낫발이는 모두 3과 10속 20종이 되는데 거의가 일본과 한국에 모두 서식하거나 두나라 사이에 최근연종을 공유하고 있다는 점에서 두나라는 생물지리학적으로 매우 가까운 관계에 있음을 나타내고 있다.

본 연구는 해양생태계의 저차생산 단계의 생산자로 중요시 되고 있는 유종섬 모충류(Tintinnina)의 분류학적 연구의 일환으로 진해만 일대에서 1978년부터 1984년까지 6년간에 걸쳐 채집된 시료와 1986년부터 1987년까지 추가 채집된 시료를 사용하여 유종섬모충류를 동정 분류한 결과, 총 6과 11속 289종이 출현하였다. 이들 28종은 모두 국내에서 처음으로 동정 분류된 것이므로 이를 한국산 미기록종으로 기재한다.

농게(Ura arcuata) (달랑게과, 달랑게아과) 의 유생을 부화에서부터 첫 번째 게기까지 수온 $25^{\circ}C$ , 염분농도 33.3$\textperthousand$의 해수에서 사육하고, 각 유생기이 형태적인 특징을 기술 및 도식하였다. 이 종은 5기의 zoea와 1기의 megalopa 유생을 거쳐 첫 번째 게기로 변태하였다. 제 1 zoea 유생기는 제 1 소악의 내지에 4개의 말단강모와 제 2 악각의 기절과 내지에 각각 3개의 우상강모와 0, 0, 5 강모식을 가지고 촉각은 B형이었다. 이러한 특징들은 이미 보고된 같은 과의 유생들의 특징들과 잘 일치하고 있다.

Lepeophtheirus tuberculatus, n. sp., is described from the greenlings Hexagrammos otakii and H. agrammus from the Sea of Japan off Mangreung, Korea. This species has been confused with L. scuttger Shiino, 1952 and L. sheni Boxshall and Bellwood, 1981. However, the new species apparently differs from the latter two species.

Seven species of intersititial Collebola are identified from South Korean sand dunes. Three of them are new to science, Wilemia koreana, Onychiurus mariangeae and Protaphorura kwona. This is the first report of Collembola inhabiting coastal milieu from the Korean peninsula.

As a result of taxonomic study on shrimps collected from Korean waters, one species of the snapping shrimp turned out to be new to Korean fauna. Synalpheus neomeris is redescribed and reported for the first time from Korea.
